Absolutely adorable! This is an independently owned ice cream shop...and it was a real treat! There are several outside umbrella tables that look out into the charming historic downtown area. Inside is super clean and is decorated in a cute vintage vibe. They hand make lots of their candies and fudges and will let you sample the fudge. The ice cream is so creamy and they had somewhere around 20 flavors to choose from. Guys, we visited 3 times this trip! The owner waited on us twice and Lauren waited on us once. This place was a little pricey - but, we were on vacation and thought we deserved a banana split. However, be warned! This is an ice cream parlor (sort of) that DOES NOT make a banana split. How crazy is that?? We still managed to spend $35 for 3 ice cream cones and a caramel apple. Lots of other pricey sweets, if ice cream is not your thing. We are 1st visitors and wanted to checkout this place. Let me tell you for someone that is allergic to cocoa powder in chocolate- I have never experienced what was done here! 1st off let me talk about their pumpkin fudge- it's like eating a pumpkin pie! It's delicious and the so was there white turtles... okay now the best part was the ice cream area where both ladies were helpful with providing me a list of things to view for food allergies that could be contained in the ice cream. Unfortunately that did not help me due to I am allergic to dark/milk chocolate that contain cocoa powder. So I spoke with Ava and got a vanilla ice cream with rainbow sprinkles and she did everything to avoid cross contamination. I'm talking she removed the ice cream and opened a completely new container to make my ice cream. I was completely shocked when she did that and I am so thankful for her and doing this. I'm unimpressed with Kilwin's. While the ice cream that I tried was great and it smells delicious, the prices are FAR too high. $9 for a single scoop of ice cream in a cone is highway robbery! They were so busy we didn't get an opportunity to try more than one thing and left without getting anything because I refuse to purchase something I haven't tasted when it's so expensive. This is just a side note, but...the experience of trying the ice cream on those splintery little flat wood planks is a sensory nightmare. I'm all for eco-friendly plastic replacements but they NEED to figure something else. The feeling of it in my mouth literally made me gag. read more

Lots of selection. Went in just for an ice cream and came out with a lot more. Unfortunately, I had to eat most of the chocolate and caramels today because I'm flying out tomorrow and won't have a car so I cannot guarantee they will not melt. I'm not sad about it but my family may be disappointed. The ice cream flavors were all quite grand; I wish I could go back to try more of their varieties. A new desert place in town, Hello Kilwins OS! We've visited Kilwins in FL and it was great there so I was excited to see this in town. Located in the oh so cute downtown ocean springs area, this is a great desert / sweet shop to definitely check out. They have a great selection of fudge, candy, and ice cream, and lots and lots of sweet things! The store is super cute and it just smells amazing as soon as you walk in here - ah the smell of sugar! I don't even know where to start with this review. This place is incredible! We stopped here for dessert after dining at another establishment in OS. As soon as you walk in, you're greeted not only by the friendly employees, but the marvelous smell of all of the desserts! I love how you can watch the desserts being made from the window. Everything inside is set up neatly and there's a huge variety of to go items too! I got a waffle cone with their caramel praline ice cream and it was so delicious! I also got a praline to go. My boys got ice cream and an assortment of fudge too. There is something for everyone here and you can sample the different fudge and ice cream. The employees were helpful with recommendations based on what flavors we like. Everyone was busy working but made sure to greet every customer and offer assistance. When I think about amazing smells, Kilwins homemade waffle comes immediately comes to my mind. It's enchanting! Then you top it off with some of their ice cream flavors...sublime! I love their New Orleans praline pecan. It is rich, I mean decadent! It pairs so well with the still warm waffle cones. Then again, I have yet to try a bad flavor here! All of their ice creams are rich and creamy. My husband always orders a milkshake and my children and I opt for a scoop or two in a waffle cone. They are always very nice and patient as we debate on what flavors to order. They readily let us try various samples of their ice cream and fudge that is made in front of you. We also love their massive apples that are covered in caramel, or chocolate with all types of toppings. It's a great place to pick up a gift of sweets or even a pint of ice cream. We love sitting outside under the oaks and enjoying our treats. It's definitely a treasure in downtown Ocean Springs! read more

I was promptly greeted when I entered the store. Everything was so clean it appeared to be sterilized. There were so many things to choose from, it was difficult to choose. I tried some of the fudge but ended up purchasing an almond rocha type dessert that was just delicious. A bit on the pricey side, but I suspect they make everything here. Great experience! read more

We had visited Ocean Springs for a couple of days and decided we wanted ice cream and I always buy fudge wherever I go. We had seen this place on our walk and thought we give it a try. We are so glad we did. We were greeted when we walked in and the place smelled divine especially to a chocolate lover like me. They had so many wonderful chocolate items I could have spent a fortune in here. But I settled on ice cream in a waffle bowl and a box of fudge. My husband and I both purchased a waffle bowl of delicious ice cream. I also purchased 3 types of fudge. It was buy 2 get the 3rd one free on that day. We sat outside and enjoyed watching the people walk by and ate our delicious ice cream. Highly recommend this place. read more

The fudge is simply amazing. By far the best I think I've ever had. We got peanut butter, chocolate and turtle fudge and can't decide which one is the best. We also got chocolate covered pretzels which were just as amazing. The chocolate is quality you can taste. Service wise the staff were very informative and helpful. Okay... yum, just yum!!! We went in because we saw a billboard advertising this place. It looked different, so decided to try it as a special treat to ourselves. BEST ice cream that I've tried for certain flavors - there is this marshmallow smores one that is smooth and yet has lots of chocolate and marshmallows in it. They also had a coffee flavor that was incredible, with just the right amount of coffee! Absolutely awesome! I got mine in a fudge/sprinkle waffle cone and that was the choice for me - both times! Their fudge on the rim was thick and the spinkles did not disappoint by falling off at a high rate. You could actually take a bite and not be covered - yes a few fell off, but not significantly. The price was a bit high, but no more than you'd pay for something that was homemade with wonderful ingredients. They didn't underfill it, even with one scoop. The only complaint that I have regarding the cone was the lack of a chocolate plug inside that would keep it from dripping out of the bottom. I was wearing white pants and before I knew it... yeah, you guessed it. I'm glad we went straight home afterward. My husband got a "Super chocolatey" shake he said it definitely lived up to its name - and was gone within a few yards outside of the shop. The staff is super friendly there, and they'll give you samples of fudge and are fast on samples of ice cream, also - which were all good. I told my husband that when we do something special or fun, this will be our place to go for dessert :) Let me put it this way - he didn't protest at all our second trip there. The peanut butter one is delicious. It's sweet of course, but not too sweet, which I love! The Oreo one is very sweet, so it's great for those who prefer that.
