This is a great grocery store! If you are looking for other vegan, keto friendly, organic, gluten free, and etc. This maybe the solution for you. I have experienced this store in other parts of the country. Please refer to the website for details about if they offer one nearby. I am glad they have one that is finally available on the coast. The only location that I know of that is local here in Ocean Springs off Highway 90. It is on the right, going westbound, past Highway 57. This is not a full fledged grocery store. But, it does offer some good options and the essentials. Few home goods too. Now, if it is your first time, you will need a quarter for a deposit if you are planning to use a shopping cart. Do not be discouraged by this; you get back it once you return the cart back and link up with the other carts. They also charge for paper bags and do not offer plastic bags. The reason behind this; is to reduce waste and carbon footprint and they do not need to hire a dedicated buggy retriever. It helps reduce staffing costs. And create more opportunities for a cleaner parking lot and more spaces for you to park. Since they do not have a shopping cart return spot that takes up valuable parking spaces. The staff is wonderful and willing to make your visit a good one. I know they do not offer any bag unless you bring them. However, if available, they have few boxes that you can grab at the front to load your groceries into your vehicle. I believe I noticed they have free Wi-Fi. What a poor experience from CASHIER CORTNEY at Store #48. I couldn't believe it... I came here purposely to celebrate the newer opening here in the community and the cashier intentionally stole from me. First of all, she was unprofessional... she had crumpled paper towel with chips laying in it next to her along with open candy she was eating while she rang up food... apparently no concern for using her greasy fingers to touch customer's items... nor her own health during a pandemic. I noticed the candy she was snacking on was the same candy I was purchasing... MAMBA. She strung up an unusual conversation with me that I believe she did to be "distracting" and even said, "I love you." out of the blue even though our conversation was not emotional, personal, nor deep in any way. I was thrown back when she said it and didn't focus on the fact that she swiped my candy and slide it next to hers to snack on for the day. I figured she wouldn't be crazy enough to lose her job in a near recession for stealing candy... but when I got home, I realized she definitely is just that crazy as she rang me up for it and kept it for herself. What else is she stealing from others while working with money daily? I feel bad for these seniors paying in cash. Regarding the shopping experience overall: Their organic produce section was extremely small... almost pointless... and that's what brought me to Aldis in the first place as Aldis in other states are known for having a vast and affordable organic food section. Great products and prices! Not a large store but I prefer it not being overwhelmed with junk I don't need. Staples are here along with delicious treats similar to Trader Joe's. Not a problem to pay for cart when I get the money back and it's only 25 cents. I usually just pass it along for free to next person. Don't mind using my own bags to save on plastic recycling. So happy to have Aldi in Ocean Springs. read more

By the way to the lady about paying for your cart you get that quarter back when you leave and in many many other states you have to bring your own bags too. Aldi is a lower cost grocery store with a good selection of goods. Yes you do rent a cart for a quarter but you get it back when you are done. A lot of people complain but you always have a cart available unlike Walmart. It is a different concept but it is unique and ads variety to your shopping. And bring your own bags! read more

Cant believe people complain about the quarter for a cart. You get your quarter back when you return a cart and lots of people just hand each other a quarter and take the cart. It saves the store money and helps keep carts away from dinging my car. i bring reusable bags when I shop because I prefer bigger bags and bag my stuff anyway. Most of their products are as good or better than national brands. I was an Aldi shopper where I use to live and happy to see them down here. Newly opened, small selection and few cashier's (I think multitasks is part of the business plan). I'm good with anything that takes money away from Wal-Mart. I am a die hard believer in Aldi! My experience at this location was wonderful: the store was clean, the shelves were stocked, great prices and the employees were very nice as well.
