I went there on Monday night, 08-25-25 to listen to karaoke. A moderate crowd of friendly seniors. The bar normally sits approximately 30 people. There was only one. There was one table open near the door and four empty tables in the back area. I sat for five minutes at the empty table in front. A waitress came by and asked me for my order. I didn't want anything to eat or drink at that moment I just wanted to listen to the music. Ten minutes later the bartender came over and rudely said I would have to leave if I didn't order anything. I said I just sat down can you give me some time for me to order. No luck for me I had to leave or get stared down by the rude bartender and waitress. It made me feel very uncomfortable. I wasn't even offered a menu. I will not be visiting there anytime soon. read more

This place is okay. I came for a friends b day party to have some food and a drink and the tequila sunrise was very syrupy. This drink is my go to and it can be really hit or miss depending on the place. This one was just super thick. We ordered food and it tasted fine, but the birthday girl's food didn't come out until 35 mins after everyone else's. It was super awkward. So overall I'd say 3 stars read more

Food is good. Service is very slow. I tried to open the curtain beside me because it was pitch black In the place. I was only going to open it so I could see the menu then close it again. As soon as I opened it the owner came over and said,"I'm the owner so I'm gonna close this". It's not even that fact that he closed it. It was the way he told me he was going to close it. 15 Minutes sitting without any service. 1 waitress to service the dining area. Only 1 other table was occupied. Definitely the kind of place that tries its hand at being both a bar and restaurant and fails at being a decent restaurant. They cater almost exclusively to the bar crowd. Unless you're part of the inner crowd where they know you already or you just want a quick drink, don't bother. what a good place to grab a bite and watch the football games on a cloudy sunday . nice friendly irish pub in yonkers that has the old school irish pub decor and vibe serving full bar drinks with traditional irish grub as well as good old american eats like wings burgers , sliders , salads , soups , nachos , pasta, entrees, etc. came on a rainy first week of nfl football and grabbed a high table in the bar area which has more space and tables including a space for live bands to play and another section for private parties and events .street parking and small lot to the side if you prefer. i enjoyed the food a bunch as the chicken sliders and waffle fries were very good and the few wings i poached from cuzs plate were not bad at all. plenty of tvs all around and 2 bars , one in front area and the other in back area is the perfect spot to see the games up close. overall a good friendly irish restaurant/pub with decent food and reasonable prices for watching sports, or just chilling with your buddies. read more

This spot has transformed from "old folks place" to a fantastic local tavern. Excellent food, great bartenders, and a nice crowd; haven't caught the live music in a while, but I've heard good things. I was in here on a quiet Thursday night as I had family out who just arrived and they wanted a bite to eat. We had a nice waitress who served us, gave us our drinks and took our food order. We ordered 2 orders of Chicken fingers and French fries, buffalo wings and an order of the quesadillas. It must have been 20mins when the waitress came back to the table and informed us no more wings left??? Just surprised we waited that long to be told they were out of them. We ordered another fingers instead. So another 20mins went by I asked the waitress was our food coming she said he was just putting it out. 40mins we waited for appetizer food, should have been ready a bit earlier than that. We got our food, and left shortly after that. I don't think it was the waitress fault but the kitchen. The place wasn't busy so I don't understand the long wait for chicken fingers, just doesn't make sense. Since new ownership, the food has gone downhill COMPLETELY. Beside prices going up significantly, quality has gone way down: steaks are all grizzle and fat, veggies are cold and/or bland. Menu items are inconsistent; one week you get 4 chicken fingers and the next you get 3, or 6! $10 for 7 TINY chicken wings??? Fries are usually greasy. Burgers are tasty but half the size of the bun. I was there last night and we had dinner reservations for 7 o'clock. The menu has changed and all the prices went up. There were no vegetarian options. Three of us ended up ordering chicken parmigiana which was not on the menu. They charged $18 and the size of the chicken was the size of a hamburger. When I asked for bread, they said they were out of it on a Saturday night at 7 o'clock! No salad or anything for $18. I went here last year on a weekday for lunch and this was my experience. While l liked the vibe in this place, fun local pub/ restaurant, my Irish breakfast meal was about the worst I have ever experienced. I don't know if the waitress left it too long under the lights or in the oven too long, but it was the driest sausage and black pudding that I ever had in my life! I am no chef but I cook better than this! It was inedible so I left most on the plate. Disappointing food, will give it another go though as it may have been a one off. This restaurant I've been going to for 35 years new owners take over there never there they're not watching what's going on the staff basically doesn't even know you're there you have to sit yourself the cook is no longer there and whoever they got cannot cook the meat quality is more like shoe leather even the hamburgers they destroyed they were known for that as well they were known for their prime rib Thursday through Sunday I often went there just because the prime rib and brought a lot of people with us the waitresses do not know that salads don't come out with the dinner they come before the dinner then you can't get anything went you get to dinner you can't get drinks you can get coffee or tea you can't get dessert they disappear 4 times now and each time it was a minimum of a 1/2 hour to 45 minutes just to get my bell I had to sit myself last week they disappeared in at dinner time I whine of the drink I had a go up to the bar and buy a drink separately tell the manager I the waitresses don't know what they're doing your the last the icons like this it was a great place still let it get destroyed you need to bring back the old cook and you better check on the quality of meat you're getting from you distributor and then they close off the bar so on the opposit side of your sitting at the far and you can't see AM in going on with the music and the dancing is and that place was packed every Sunday night there was a regular Sunday crowd and you are lost it and who own the restaurant make it your business to be there make it to business to train people make your business to be friendly and get to note the customers they want to know you don't let this restaurant go down any further or you'll never be able to get people back quality meat quality service I had to explain to a new waitress why she wants to make sure people order appetizers and extra dring's and coffee tea and dessert it also makes her make more money no quip no training so a friend of mine decided on the following week which is as fast weekend after me speaking to the manager to different ones and exchange new guys gotta get this together he had the exact same problem and took him over half hour to try to get his bill never came back to ask they want more drinks if you buy a restaurant take care of it look at it train the people had good quality food and don't destroyer icon read more

What used to be a favorite place of mine has turned to disappointment.The changes although seem to be trying have not turned out for the better. The quality of the food is far from comparable to the old Tara nor The Glenrowan. The menu doesn't appeal and the portions are scanty. Even the crowd has changed. Many no longer come at all. For many years I frequented the original Tara's and then The Glenrowan. Last Sunday evening I decided to stop in and have dinner with my family. Well I asked for Guinness and it was a good pint. Unfortunately my experience with the rest of my visit was disappointing, I asked for a veggie burger and the very pleasant waitress had to go ask the chef if they had it. No! not on the menu was the answer. So I looked at the small menu again asked what type of fish is in the fish and chips? Battered fish is not an answer. Again she went to chef and came back with "cod". I ordered fish n chips. It was good but small portions. The menu is not up to par with Glenrowan's. Perhaps that is why there were few customers for a Sunday evening. Renovations are taking too long. A restaurant that was full of life and Irish culture appears to have lost its customer base. Hopefully you can get the family ambience back if that is your goal. You need to have all wait staff familiar with your menu and the kitchen. That requires training. Lastly remove the chair rail molding on the wall in the dining nook it is so uncomfortable to sit there. I will be back to see how you renovate the neighborhood experience. read more
