    Had a bite. Lol.
    Larry G.

Another first! Usually, I don't give five stars, but the kid at the window was a superstar himself, Bryan. I ordered the lengua burrito. Dam it was delicious, the wife got the quesadillas fritas and she was not talking. lol. I tried them too, dam delicious! Then they told us that the carrots were home made, and then they were off the hook too. I think we just found us a new favorite spot. We will definitely be going back and I highly recommend anybody close to it. Check them out. You won't be disappointed.

    street tacos

Good street tacos, but I would ask for salsa on the side next time; it got too spicy and salty by the end. Also it overpowers everything and you can't appreciate the other ingredients. Great service and location.

Their quesabirrias are the best. I get really full with 3. The consomé is included too!

We probably will try again but it could of been better. The rice was a little dry the beans were a little bland. My pastor burrito was great in size and amount of meat but too spicy for me next time I will ask for no sauce or on the side. I had the pastor wet burrito. My wife said her street tacos were good she gave them an 8-10. The lady was very nice but the wait was long to receive our food. It was raining so we took our food home to eat

The birria egg rolls are HUGE and the chapurrado is so delicious. I came here 20 minutes before closing and the customer service is amazing! The couple was very sweet and if you spend $15, you are entered in a Christmas raffle! My favorite thing about this place are the workers, they are amigable and make you feel welcomed.

    Magie N.

It was only a cook and a cashier with a big rush and they handled it like champs. Flipping tortillas dropping the food in the frier and filling up drinks. Both workers did amazing ! They were smiling, laughing, making suggestions. They made a good team together and the food was amazing. Quesabirrias were warm and tasty, the quesadillas weren't shy on cheese. The fries were crispy and the rice and beans you die for. Definitely will be back.

We came back, still great food! They also have weekly specials. A must try in Merced.

    Huge burritos!!
    James L.

Holy cow, this is hands down the best burrito I've ever had. I had a couple of beers over at Tioga and naturally got a craving for tacos or a burrito. DoorDash showed $20 to have one delivered from local places so I took a walk and found this place a block away. So glad I did. I ordered a supreme burrito with pastor and was shocked at how big it was when it came out. Literally the size of a newborn and about twice as heavy ! Came with two different salsas along with escabeche, all of which were excellent. Price for all of this...$12.50! No 25% tip required (nor did they ask). Incredibly friendly service and unbeatable value! Will definitely be back when I'm in Merced.

    Bomb tacos!

I enjoy going to places to try out food from small businesses. I came here in the afternoon and met two lovely ladies. I ordered 2 combos of quesabirria tacos and gracian's fries to go. There are seating tables outside under a canopy while we waited for our food. The quesabirria tacos were the best I've had in Merced. Tacos were piping hot with lots of meat and cheese to get that string pull. Consome was also delicious. Gracian Fries were definitely a hit with my family as well. I will definitely be back. This will be my #1 food truck place to visit whenever I'm in town.

Food and service were both good. Worth waiting in the heat for. Birria egg rolls are a good choice to try something new.

Pizza took very long to make, it came towards the end of our meal. The waiter gave us some free fries and soups to make up the long wait time. We started off with the steamed mussels which were excellent - large meaty mussels in a roasted tomato garlic broth. The broth was so good we both spooned it down long after the mussels were gone. This was followed by the beet salad which was the classic pairing of bitter arugula with the sweet beets. The crab and lobster ravioli as our main course didn't disappoint - lots of sweet crab and lobster meat stuffed into each ravioli, all draped with a creamy rich sauce. We topped off our meal with another classic - crunchy cannoli fingers. Mmm, good! Our friendly server gave us excellent wine service and food suggestions. The back dining room was cheerfully noisy and gave off the vibe of eating at your Italian Grandmother's house. We had a great time, highly recommended.

Since she has graduated, I won't be in town anytime soon, but I highly recommend them for some good Thai and Laotian bites if you're ever in Merced! They have a selection of delicious dishes and I have loved everything that I've tried. My go-to orders are the Papaya Salad and Khao Poon. The papaya salad is a must and the spice level was the perfect amount. The Khao Poon is a coconut curry based noodle soup that is so flavorful. I've also come to really enjoy the Nam Khao (Laotian crispy rice salad), each bite is crunchy and absolutely delish. Your Asian comfort food cravings will definitely be satisfied here. Located off on the corner of 16th Street and G (same plaza as Little Caesars), the Papaya Lady is actually tucked away inside a carniceria. The aisles of the market nearly block the counter to this little kitchen. It's the neon sign of "The Papaya Lady" buzzing that guides you to the back. We came in the late afternoon on a Saturday and they were already out of the fried chicken and sticky rice (next time!). We ended up ordering: Papaya Salad (extra spicy) - The little peppers in this gave the dish a nice kick. Super refreshing on a hot day. Nam Khao (crispy rice lettuce wrap with pork skin) - I highly enjoyed this one with all the crunchy textures and flavors. Will 100% get again. Khao Poon (noodle soup) - This broth had a subtle peanut flavor which was delicious. Wished it had more toppings. Nam Vanh (tapioca drink) - My drink seemed to lack the other jellies that I saw in other pictures and only had the lil tapioca balls, sweetener and coconut milk. It felt like it was missing something for sure. The owner is so nice and friendly. I don't know if it's a psychological thing, but every time he acknowledged or spoke to me, he used my name. It just felt automatically more warm and welcoming lol The price per portion is also legit. You get so much for what you pay. Our order kept me and the SO fed for almost 3 days. So nice to have some good Asian food in the Central Valley. Will definitely be back!
