Haven't been to or reviewed a taqueria in quite a while. Came here because of a recommendation by a nurse at Memorial Hospital but was a little apprehensive because of Yelp reviews. Compelled to write this one cuz I feel the one stars are unwarranted. Solid four stars Friendly greeting at the counter. Clean tables and floors. Modesto staple with multiple locations to enjoy, private parking lot and ample seating for single dining or small group of 4. Take out or dine in the options are good and prices are fair. I love that they have a salsa bar loaded with salsa and extra's. My 2 enchilada combo was good, but a little small, the red sauce was tasty, along with rice and beans. Chips are offered and pair great with their house salsas. There are bottled beer and soda options for drinks. I am a big fan of their burritos, and will definitely go again read more

Ordered REGULAR steak and shrimp burrito, asked for a grill shell and somehow the meat was still at room temp nor was it fresh. They added sour cream and cheese and I dislike both. Ordered a Jumbo Steak burrito, only difference between jumbo and super is Lettuce and Tomato is added. That's the gift and the the curse, 40 percent of the burrito was Lettuce. This afternoon I orders five regular tacos and was charged $40.00 and some change. I informed the cashier the price was wrong. Cashier tells me, "I just work here I don't make the prices." I asked to speak with the manager and to my surprise no manager was at the store especially on a Sunday evening. I waited for my order and once I had received it I checked it and I had received five super tacos with cheese. I explained that the order was wrong and now I realized why I was overcharged. They fixed the issue with the tacos-but! They never gave back the extra money that I originally paid. read more

This is hands down my favorite taqueria in Modesto! I order from here on the regular and normally get the two tacos plate ore the fajitas plate! This taqueria has been a staple in modesto for over a decade. Needed to try. I ordered the regular taco: choice of meat, pico de gallo and cilantro. The carnitas was flavorful but no bark for the texture change. Not enough cilantro. The pico de gallo was a little light in color and taste. Double tortillas were grilled. The plating was a little underwhelming. For the cost of $3.00 a taco, I expected a bit more. They did have other tacos on the list, super taco, stuffed taco, with cheese, eta. Great food and service! Their jumbo burritos are fantastic! Their tacos are so good! Nachos, enchiladas, chile relleno, all amazing!

This is the spot for authentic Mexican food. The carnitas torta was not soggy at all and had a nice crisp to the exterior of the bread with a soft, fresh center. The jumbo burrito al pastor had great flavor and was huge! Price is lower than other places plus you can get a discount if paying cash. Delícioso!!! read more

Their air conditioner has literally been broken all summer. It's a sauna in there and might I add it gets pretty hot here in Modesto even into fall. But I will never ever come back here. Service is to be expected, domestic take too long for your order, proces were to be expected. But the food quality was trash! The tacos are 3.26 each pretax so that's 16-17 dollars my spouse spent on five tacos that not only had dry tortillas and dry meat but the barest minimum of salsa you could put on a taco as well.
