Bug
Tayvia D.

There should be no reason why this establishment is even allowed to serve food!!! I went to take another bite of my torta and found a freaking bug cooked in with my chicken! I just so happened to look down and see it. Imagine if I wasn't paying attention. I would have eaten it this is absolutely disgusting. I will never be ordering from here again and I want to spread awareness and ensure that this establishment is shut down because who knows how many other instances like this have taken place. If you eat here frequently, there is a chance that you are eating bugs!

You will be charged for every single thing you want

Paid 40.00 for two orders of chips with salsa (chilaquiles). Note, they will charge you for everything extra you want, like sour cream, onion, even cilantro ‍ never again.

One of my favorite places

When you walk in you seat your self anywhere you want. Your waitress will come to your table first speaks to you in Spanish and then English which is cool and what I like. I ordered an ice tea and the 5 tacos the way it comes. I did ask for the green salsa because I like spicy salsa. So I am not sure if the green salsa is automatically taken to my table or not. She came back with my drinks with chips and salsa. Then you see a lady come to each table with desserts and asking each table if they would like one. Then a lady came to fill up cups with tea or water. After that a lady came to fill up your salsas. When my food came it was like 5 minutes after I ordered quick. It was delicious, I dress it with a heavy soaking of green salsa and salt then went to town. Omg mouth wetting thinking about it. If you want some authentic Mexican food with 5 star service this is the place for you.

Breakfast tacos

I love Taqueria Arandas. Each location is a bit different. This one is very nice inside - probably the nicest decor. They gave great queso - but then this location had salsa that was not as good as the other locations. Overall it's a great deal and the service of Ivon was super and she's nice and attentive.

Horrible service and even horrible manager(Delma). Very sneaky and shady!

The food is flavorless, it's expensive. I tried to order a burrito a certain way they came back three times and still got my order wrong.

Does anyone know what else they put in the green salsa? I'm pretty sure its jalapeños, a little garlic, oil and?

Hi Jessica, our green salsa consists of jalapeños and oil only.

Do they have vegetarian beans?

Hi Ralph, unfortunately our refried beans are not vegetarian neither are our charro beans. However our regular pinto beans, also known as frijoles de la olla, are 100% vegetarian. If you have any other questions regarding vegiterian options please…

Perfect if you are or not on your period. Fries were mediocre. 5/5 Veggie omelette Very filling with their hashbrown. Their hashbrown is fluffy and crispy from the brown edges. Extremely delicious with ketchup and pepper. 4/5 Chicken fajita omelette 4/5 (as told per friend) Didnt try but I guess I could trust my friend. It was hefty and had biscuit and hashbrowns! Key lime Pie 10/5 So good and light! The whipped cream was beyond fluffy and not stiff (didn't taste stabilizers) and the custard part was perfection and not too tart or too sweet! It's been a minute since I've been impressed with waffles. And the marinara sauce that comes with the cheese sticks oh my goodness. Probably the best marinara sauce I've had by far ! Would definitely come back to try more food. I will say I didn't care for the Mac and cheese. Mash potatoes were solid though

I wanted to start with one biscuit, but the biscuits come in pairs. The waitress said I could order just one anyway, but the order ended up being two. I meant to save the second one for breakfast, but that was not to be. It did not survive long enough to make it out the door. My actual meal was a bacon swiss and mushroom burger, which was excellent. Between the biscuits and the burger, I am forced to acknowledge that it was entirely too much food. Sadly, that did not prevent me from eating all of it anyway. Delicious! The restaurant, which is a diner with very basic decor, is on an approach road to IAH, and is open 24/7. When I arrived in the evening, the place was empty. By the time I left, there were a whole bunch of customers. I noticed in other reviews that people were saying they did not receive checks for their meal and felt they were over-charged at the register. I did not receive a check either, but the amount I was charged at the register seemed accurate -- and I was paying attention because I had read the other reviews first.

I have gone back for nostalgia a few times during the day and the food was still made to order, prices were still reasonably low and the wait staff reminded me of a safe place to get rid of my day and my safe diet. Kinda feels like home, missing your childhood and humble beginnings. Somebody's intoxicated, somebody's on a first date, somebody's passing through, somebody's lost, somebody's on their third meal of the day (motel parking lot adjacent) and the server loves everything about your fancy bracelet or handbag. Sometimes you just need that definitely one of my places for old Times sake. It's humbling. I've yet to try the hot biscuit, but the burger and fries is good anytime.

The food is always good, plentiful and efficiently served. The hash-browns and grits are always fresh and cooked perfectly. The homemade rolls are fluffy and delicious and the pancakes are generously sized and thick. And, on the very rare occasion that there has been a mix up on an order, things were rectified quickly and with no hassles. So you should understand that we were devastated by the news that the Frank's location closest to our house was totally destroyed by fire recently. That would be the 1915 Mangum Rd. location. It is my understanding from employees at neighboring businesses that they plan to reopen, at least temporarily, in a vacant building on a lot that is adjacent to the burned building.
