Very impressive... taqueria with great salsa, huge menu and delicious food. We visited for brunch and were met with a friendly waitress and nice dining room. The menudo was flavorful and tender. They give a choice of tortillas or bolillo bread with diced cilantro, onions and lime. It wasn't too spicy but with the addition of their red salsa it was perfect. The fajitas came out sizzling hot and were tender and tasty. Can't wait to try all their other dishes. Worth the try. read more

Taqueria Ruby is an authentic, no-frills Mexican restaurant -- cash only and cheap, wonderful food. Basically, you pick a meat and then pick the dish; you can choose from tacos, burritos and tortas (kind of like a Mexican sub sandwich). I've had every kind of meat at Ruby and prefer the asada and carnitas. Their meats are always seasoned right and flavorful. The only thing I might not order again is tripas (intestines) -- you'll want to order those crispy if you're brave enough to eat them. They also have lengua (beef tongue), which is surprisingly good despite an odd texture. Tacos come on corn tortillas with cilantro and onions. Burritos are the usual flour tortilla, rice and beans. Tortas -- probably my favorite -- are served on a soft, somewhat sweet roll with white cheese, jalapeños, lettuce and tomato. All the food at Ruby is served with either a green tomatillo or red salsa and both are excellent. Make sure to eat in so you can get free chips and salsa (yet another variety) and watch the Mexican soap operas and game shows that are always playing. read more

Went to eat here with my family for my graduation dinner. Our server didn't let my family member add a chair to the big top we sat at .when I asked why I want my family to sit together she gave me a attitude. She only brought one salsa bowl along with one basket of chips for 10 people. When I asked if she could bring another ramekin of salsa and chips .she said you need to hold and waved her hands toward my direction. That was the second time she had said that to me ,she was so rude. I am a server and I would never talk to a customer in that manner. When our food came out she just set all of our food at the end of table didn't even call it out. She never came back to check on us the rest of the time. Food tasted like it was a day old. This is a good spot, decent prices but yesterday when my husband and I went for lunch, an older waitress tried to force my husband to order in Spanish. Without getting too deep into our cultural history, let me say he wasn't raised speaking Spanish and neither was I, but we made attempts to learn. However, I thought it was very RUDE and disrespectful of her to size us up then give us the stink eye after my husband politely said he doesn't speak spanish and she replied, well I no speak english. I could've gotten really ugly and pointed out that their own MENUS ARE IN ENGLISH, but hey, I'm not that kind of gal. Besides, the other blonde hair waitress was bilingual and very nice, so I left a good tip. But I will refuse for that particular waitress to ever serve us again. read more

Only complaint and reason for 2 star rating is that they recently started charging for the chips and salsa if your order is under.$6..I was a bit confused because the last 2 times I was in for lunch I had the same order, 3 tacos @$1.50 each and a Mexican coke which I believe are about $2 putting my total at approximately $6.50 + tax and was still charged for the chips and salsa both times.. your sign clearly says orders under $6 would pay for chips, so why did I have to pay both times??? read more

I love this place. They have Mexican Cola. The best breakfast burritos. Yummy I have gotten the chorizo and the bacon. Great stuff.
