The food they were serving was very simple- small tacos but they were perfection. The tortilla's were fresh, hot off the grill, the meat was high quality- pork or beef, sliced then chopped- not ground, cooked on a rotating vertical spit akin to Greek gyros, with a nice char and excellent seasonings. Condiments of green and red salsa's, onions, cilantro and lime rounded out the offerings. I inquired about their business and was told they operate a food truck out of Tupelo and attend many festivals and special events like today. They also appear regularly in New Albany, Pontotoc and Tupelo on the streets. For an authentic taste of Mexico, I would recommend them highly.

My husband and I lived on the AZ/MX border for 6 years and ate in Mexico often. We came to love a good authentic street taco. We travel full time now and are interested in trying a Mexican restaurant wherever we go as that became our favorite cuisine. Not all street tacos are made equal and I have found that many in the states put pineapple in their al pastor of which I'm not a fan. This place has good al pastor street tacos and it comes with great presentation with a big grilled jalapeño on the plate. There was of course the pineapple of which I've learned to pick out. My husband had what was called P5, which was chicken over rice with cheese sauce. He rated it as plain. The cheese had mostly absorbed into the rice so wasn't real moist but we had gotten a side of cheese dip and so he was able to have that as some extra. Overall , I would come back and definitely do recommend coming here. Unfortunately I forgot to take pictures.

Paying customers should not have to deal with just plain rudeness. If you don't want to be open, then don't. Close at 8. Close at 7. Its OK.
