Parked in the "International" district among many other taco trucks, Taqueria Express stood out for its affordable prices, generous portions and having a covered place to actually sit down. I get the feeling they may be working towards opening a brick and mortar but for now the truck experience just feels right. They are fast with churning out orders and very helpful in understanding some of the less mainstream choices. Compared to some other spots in Tulsa, this taco truck had plenty of seasoning and, although simple, was an incredibly worthwhile stop. It came out nice and hot with fresh toppings and good salsa. I also liked that they doubled up on tortillas for each taco! As far as pure street tacos, this is one of the best I've had in a long time. The price was great too. $6 for five small tacos. I have been eating at this location since 2009 and today I ate the worst tacos that I have ever had. The meat tasted burnt the corn tortillas were chewey and crunchy and tasted like they were sitting out for days. This was my go to taco truck and today I was let down big time. To top it all off I received no carrots (hot ones) the cost for 6 tacos and drink was $10.50! This is a very sad day. read more

This place gets it. It's a food truck that has set up at 17th and Garnett in front of the old Bill&Ruths that was there. Very simple fare, very reasonably priced and comes out fast. Probably the best Mexi-truck I've eaten off of in a while. Do yourself a favor and get the mulitas, although everything else I have had from them has been bomb. Never knew this place existed. 1st time I went I didn't have cash & they are CASH ONLY. But today I had cash so I stopped again. I ordered 5 tacos: 3 carne 2 chicken, a carne quesadilla & a side of rice. The carne tacos were spot on. Same for the chicken. Both had excellent onion topping, little cilantro but my favorite was the chicken simply because of whatever they marinade it in. The quesadilla is the best you can buy for $5. Full flavor out of a truck!! It's always in the same location. The price and taste place them in the top choices for good grub. With tacos, burritos, tortas and quezadillas taking main stage. Anyone we have that comes to visit we always take them to this spot, we have tried many others as we live in the area, but none can compare to this place! Took some friends this last weekend and they could not stop talking about how good their food was! My personal favorite is the lengue (beef tongue) Quesadilla and I have avocado added, but everything is great! This is my #1 spot for tacos in Tulsa. I've only found this place recently, but it's already become my favorite spot for midnight tacos. Sadly they close at 11:00 on most nights.
