I was having a HUGE hankering for chorizo tacos after hearing someone talk about them at the barber shop. I decided to order from a place near by so I didn't have to find parking twice. I phoned in my take out order from the comfort of the barbers chair, the person taking my order was extremely friendly. I ordered the chorizo tacos and the gauc without jalapeños as requested by the misses. 10 minutes later I went to pick it up. The shop is clean with plenty of seating if you would like to dine in. The taco left me wanting more. The portion was extremely small and left me wanting more flavor as the taco was a bit on the bland side. The guacamole was also bland with a small portion- I'd call it a dollop. Not sure if I'll be coming back as there are other options in the area with a better product. read more

Great selection of tacos, entrees, etc. We tried the mole chicken, and asked for salad and tostones as sides. Also had the sausage and beef tacos. Everything was fresh and delicious! Service was a bit slow, but probably because we arrived right at the beginning of lunch and there was only one person working at the time, another employee arrived later and made sure we had everything we needed - we ate in, but they do have a lot of takeout business. We ordered Brenda Lees really hoping for some delicious Spanish flavors but i was very disappointed. I got the Carnitas and it was extremely dry. I got a side of rice which also has no flavor and tastes like it's microwaved uncle bens rice. The bean are refried beans that are probably from a can too. As a cuban woman I know these flavors when i taste them and the rice just didn't have it. the tacos were good on flavor but I couldn't look past the dry tacos. My girlfriend got the steak tacos, also dry. The plantains were really good though! Delicious. We also ordered the nachos which were probably the 2nd best thing that we got besides the plantains. im really offended about the rice though I can't lie they could've at least put some sazón or adobo on it or something. I was eating my food and wondered what this black spot was . When I looked closer it was a roach. I'm so disappointed and disgusted. I really like the food and this was our second time. I for obvious reasons did not touch any of the food after this. I was almost in tears at the thought that I may have eaten one if there were more and I didn't notice. I called to let them know and the one person that spoke a bit of English Let his mother know and they asked me to bring all the food back if I wanted my money back. It was takeout, I was not only offended but further disgusted. I didn't need the money back I'm more frustrated that they didn't apologize profusely and try to to make it right somehow. Now I know nothing could make it right, but the owner could have gotten on and explained or something. They took this as if it was just apart of business and sorry we didn't catch that one! They must know they have a roach problem, if so you need to be closed down until you can take care of it. Thank god I didn't get this food for my family this time around. We decided to try the food for the first time and wasn't very impressed. I got the Carne Asada with rice and beans. The rice I got was dry and even had some crispy burnt pieces in it. The beans and steak weren't flavorful at all. My husband got the chicken tacos. And they were as tacos should be but nothing impressive. We also bought a few side dishes to try as well which were about average. All in all I was disappointed in the food but the prices were affordable. Not sure if we will give this place a second go Update- gave them multiple chances for simple tacos and was not impressed. The food is good, but be prepared to wait for your order, all the time. We have ordered from this place around 10 times at this point, both delivery and pickup. We live maybe 7 minutes from this place and each time the delivery has taken over an hour to get to our home. We understand that there may be other orders and circumstances beyond the restaurant's control. Fine. After the first several times of frustrated deliveries, we started to pick up. We would order, wait 20 minutes as they advised and go pick it up. But each time we ordered, they didn't even start cooking our order until we got there. The first two times, we thought maybe they were overwhelmed, busy etc. But after the fifth time, we just don't understand why you would tell us the order will be ready in 20 minutes, but then not begin to cook our order (and get it wrong a few times) until we arrive... We do not plan on returning, which is a shame, because the food is good and the place is close. Instead, we have started to go to Golden Burrito in Flanders, which has always been timely and delicious. read more

My husband and I went for an early dinner and picked Taqueria Brenda Lee based on Yelp reviews. Boy were we happy we did! The food was wonderful and the staff so nice. The chips and salsas they give you while waiting were top notch! I had the mixed fajitas (steak and chicken) which came out sizzling hot on a cast iron skillet with fresh homemade tortillas wrapped in a warm, damp cloth, with rice and beans on the side. This little restaurant is awesome. From the decor of the place to the friendliness of the staff to the food itself, it's a homerun.

It's a cute decorated restaurant with authentic Mexican food! And the portions are huge! I usually get the flautas (basically 5 pieces of rolled up fried tortilla with either chicken or cheese). The quesadilla kids was 3 pieces but huge! The chips and salsa are very good with a nice spice to it. Have also tried the pork tamales. The only down is the chicken and tamale were a little dry but it was very good another time I had it. Glad to find this gem and we even drive from the poconos here! Service is good too...and you know it's authentic when the staff doesn't speak fluent English and even the tv is speaking Spanish! read more
