The restaurants are all…read morealike the difference is what I am ordering, staffing and location Cracker Barrel is just the All American go-to place when we are traveling. I mean, how can you go wrong here? No matter where I am it seems like the people are all the same. We came here for breakfast while traveling to Albany, NY on our way to our Kiwanis special meeting. From the second you're on the porch of CB until you sit down, it's like a deja vous from one restaurant to another. Always a nice greeting when you walk in and usually seated right away. My wife and I were with friends so there were a lot of delicious meals on the table. It was a Friday and I had the delicious 'fish fry' of fried catfish and mashed potatoes and my wife had the pot roast. What's nice is their consistency from location to location and their food which always matches my level of expectation. This place never disappoints you no matter what you order. All delicious and huge portions of food. Our waiter was delightful-pleasant-helpful who was genuinely concerned that everything at our table was to our liking. The level of caring here is commendable. KUDO's to the Cracker Barrel franchise and their incredible teams. I am a fan. Who knows, one day.... Long Island. (Can you imagine the line they'll have there?)

Serving sizes for all 6 of us were plentiful and I was pleased that fresh green beans could be substituted for fries. I ate my burger and had tastes of others entrees then concluded that the food was nothing special. I rate the quality and preparation of the food as 3 (tops). So, enjoy the view and, based on my experience, expect top quality service. But don't expect gourmet food.

No reservation was my first mistake. The restaurants in the area all have a beautiful view / sunset but are often booked. I intended to visit another spot on the water but couldn't get in, and ended up at Alice's instead. We climbed a big staircase to get into the main entrance and it seemed pretty small outside compared to what it looks like outside. Think they have a separate bar / dining room down in the lower area. But I have to say I was very pleasantly surprised by my experience here. At first, the hostess told us that there was nothing available but then the other woman up front with her told us to wait a minute. Luckily, she came back and said she could get us a table. Finally, a win! For dinner, we ordered the Arugula Salad special which is we excellent. It has mandarin oranges and walnuts in it which I enjoyed together. I got the Sesame Crusted Ahi Tuna for dinner which was good. Though, I didn't love the noodles it came with it was still pretty tasty overall. We finished up sharing the Limoncello cake and dessert martinis. I'd normally go for an espresso martini, but tried the chocolate peanut martini which was like dessert in a glass! Our server was very attentive - service was fast, food was good and prices weren't bad. Plus, you cannot beat the sunset view if you get an outside table! I'll definitely make my way back here again.

We were sold just by how friendly they were, so we came here for lunch. There is a pretty big parking lot as it is actually located in a boat rental facility. Upon entering we were greeted with the same friendliness we experienced over the phone. The service was great, and the prices were also extremely fair. The menu is small, which is nice because it makes it easier to decide what to get. There were four of us, and we all loved what we ordered. There are a few tables outdoors right nearby the docks, so you can watch boats come and go on the lake while you enjoy your food. The service was so good, they even gave us a bowl of water and some treats for our dog! When we left they were so thankful and told us about some events they have coming up, they do car shows! This is definitely going to be our go to spot whenever we are in the area for a hike or camping! The only thing I would suggest would be to have a little more signage outside so it is a little easier to spot from the road.

The chicken Caesar salad was substantial and precisely executed. The chicken sandwich with fresh mozzarella, roasted pepper and Arugula was excellent. The Artichoke hearts sandwich was amazing. Ribiola cheese, arugula, artichoke hearts lightly marinated. Delicate, yet satisfying: a real wow. Service was attentive and friendly, without being intrusive. The wine and cocktail list is fine but is still under redevelopment; understand that the new GM Michael definitely knows his business. So, I can't wait to see what he puts together next.
