I'm in this area a lot bc of the kid. Between karate and Kumon we're here at least once a week. The kid always orders an avocado milkshake with boba. This is our favorite boba mama/kid spot. This place used to be so consistently good but I believe the owner changed. We ordered 4 drinks from left to right: 2 strawberries, 1 matcha, and one Thai tea. Unfortunately we were unable to finish most of them. My poor husband forced himself to finish the Thai tea.. the strawberry lacked color and the matcha tasted like from a can. My daughter, her friend and I stopped by here since I needed one more drink purchase to get 10 total and you get your 11th free on a punch card. I had the sesame milk tea, my kid got the almond milk tea and her friend got the green oolong milk tea. We all liked our drinks. The service was passing. I loved my sesame! It had tons of sesame sediment on the bottom! I usually only found a handful of boba flavors I dig and this is one of them! Soooooo gooooood! I will definitely now come here for this drink. We hung out there for maybe 15 minutes not counting the time to prepare our drinks. There are maybe 10 tables which makes it cool to hang out or study for those in school. I think this was the 1st or close to the first boba that opened up in Natomas before the explosion of boba dotted our area. All in all, good drinks, reasonable pricing and nice vibe. I dropped in just because I was feeling Boba-ish! When I was parking I noticed a car dropping off 2 people who walked directly towards the entrance of this Tapioca Express. I knew there may be a line. When I entered I thought, "Ugh, there's going to be a wait" but to my surprise it took me less than 10 minutes from entering, ordering, getting my order and leaving. They have excellent service and expected prices. I ordered from the Manager's Special Menu which was the TARO THAI MILK TEA with added Boba. I loved everything about it. The shop has a simple layout..quiet, pkaces to sit to sit to either wait for your order or enjoy it inside. Nope. Absolutely not. I ordered through DoorDash, so ofcourse it was a little more expensive than in person ($30 for two things). I ordered the chi chi fries and the strawberry frosty... Horrible. I used to come here as a kid and those were my favorite things to order and was hoping to get the same experience. The chi chi fries were dry little pieces of chicken and the fries were not cooked all the way through, so they were very oily. The strawberry frosty... Did the recipe change? I received a drink with NO sweetness (only the strawberry puree) and it just tasted like MILK. No tartness (how it's SUPPOSED to be) and no depth. I'm so disappointed with everything. They seem to have raised the prices overtime but they have a reward system that gives you a free drink after gaining a certain amount of points. We went inside at lunch time, and it was empty except for the 2 of us. The renovations inside is quite big, with lots of tables, but the lighting is dark and the place seems old. The price of the bubble tea is also not cheap, compared to other bubble tea places. Overall, would recommend not going in here, and finding drinks elsewhere. Oh my gosh. Worst customer service ever. Two ladies seemed annoyed we are there. You should fire these two unprofessional workers.
