The Croquettes Bacalhao were of great quality, the fish inside was soft and flavorful while the exterior was crunchy. It tasted especially yummy when dipped in the white garlic aioli sauce. The duck magnet was also very good - duck was cured and cooked well; the duck maintained a meaty flavor which was balanced by the sweetness of the carrots and acidity of the sauces. The mushroom risotto complemented the duck nicely, offering creaminess and cheesiness to the meat and vegetables. The service was good - our server was patient through the ordering process and gave good recommendations. Ambiance was so cute! The dishes and napkins were so pretty and matched the walls and the whole aesthetic was curated very nicely.

We came across this place when we were searching for a nearby dinner option. We had passed by the day before without realizing. I'm so glad we took a chance and showed up without a reservation even though we ended up waiting quite a while to be seated. This place is very crowded and it's easy to know why... the food is absolutely amazing. Reservations are highly recommended. It's located inside the Sao Bento Train Station, right near the tracks. Weird it seems but it works.

Wow, what an amazing dinner! Kudos to the concierge at my hotel Se Catedral for scoring me a seat at the bar tonight! I think he asked the owner to help me out. The owner was so nice and gracious. Decor is Porto esque Pluses 1. Baby clam so fresh and please ask for the bread to dip 2. That duck is delish so aromatic and tender and they even had cool cauliflower 3. Interesting white wine with fizz by the glass for me Areas to improve None It's next to track 1 at Sao Bento station. Highly recommended! Razor clams not available today so another day!

Restaurant is inside train station! The place is always packed so reservations are strongly recommended. Fusion food, friendly staff, and nice white sangria!

The single best dish I've had during my time on earth. Tiger Shrimp sauteed with Garlic.

The restaurant is located in the beautiful train station don't let the construction around the train station turn you away

It's amazing when you can find an absolutely gem in the city you don't know and it makes you feel like a local and that's what this place is. The staff if they aren't all actual family definitely act like it it was refreshing to see locals with children and people in there and hanging out and simply enjoying a meal and time with one another. And it goes without saying if your group of more than two you should make reservations they do a great job about seating too at the bar area which is where we sat and it was fantastic even more interaction with the wonderful staff. They spoke multiple languages which is always helpful. We had a bartender / waiter who made us a special drink which was outstanding with Port and tonic!!! So finally on to the food we ordered of course tapas we had the potatoes brabus huge piece and outstanding not like a traditional Spanish one but clearly my new Portuguese favorite style we got the tomato bread and I swear it tasted like fresh fresh tomatoes on the bread we also got the eggplant dish delicious and my favorite but I love bacalao where the croquettes de bacalao, If you're in Port though this is a must eat place

One of our favorite meals in Portugal with delicious vegetarian options! Make a reservation if you can. You'll have to email them to make the reservation and confirm the day before. Otherwise you have to wait in line. I made reservations for Wednesday dinner at 7 pm, right when they open for dinner. The restaurant is a bit hidden, but it's in the Sao Bento station right next to the platform. We each ordered two tapas for ourselves. My friend got two vegetarian plates and I got two meat/seafood plates. I had tiger shrimp sauteed with garlic (€27.90) and alheira croquettes (€7.50). My friend got the tortilla (€8) and the vegetable gyoza (€10). I liked my food, but I thought the vegetarian tapas were the star of the show. The tortilla may be the best tortilla I've ever had (and if not, it's definitely up there), and the vegan ponzu sauce for the gyoza was divine. In comparison, my food was solid but didn't blow my mind like the two veggie dishes did. I did think the portion of shrimp for the price was a bit disappointing, since there were only 7 shrimp on the plate. The croquettes had a nice smoky flavor to them, but again, nothing to write home about. Neither of us were super hungry after a big lunch, so two tapas each was the perfect amount for us.

My friend and I had such a hard time finding this place, we didn't realize it was inside the station next to the trains. The place was super cute, I wasn't that hungry when I came in so I just got a fish soup and it was delicious. It wasn't too salty and was a very light broth with some fish, i thought it ws interesting they sprinkled cooked eggs on it. My friend had the pork cheeks and she enjoyed them as well.

Service was great from the front door with menus in many languages, the location is great right next to the historic train station with trains coming right in from the views of the window. Bread, port wine, beer, food was amazing!

We came here because they have gluten free items on their menu. We ordered the gluten free garlic bread it was delicious. The also ordered the cataplana do mar (serves 2). It was delicious. Our waiter spoke English and was friendly and warm. If you can make a reservation. We showed up a little before it opened for dinner. There was a line waiting to get in. We were seated at the bar. The entrance to the restaurant is in São Bento station by track 1.

The restaurant is situated inside the Átrio da Estação de São Bento, a beautiful landmark and functional train station. The food here appears to be Portuguese food with a twist of Thai inspiration. The food was good, but the place gets busy - Cataplana ran out by 7:30pm on a Saturday! Reservation highly recommended. The service was still excellent, and the hostess was kind even in her turning away hungry customers. The food is as good as shown in the images, and a mix of locals and tourists were observed. I would definitely recommend this place to any - hope you check it out!

This place was so hard to find! It kept rerouting us and we finally found it after seeing the line. The wait was quite long, but I'm so glad we were able to dine here. The restaurant is a lot bigger than I expected and I loved the ambiance. I got a caipirinha to drink and she ordered a glass of white wine. We shared the dumplings, presunto iberico, camarao alho, and the trifle de chocolate. The portions were great for sharing. I enjoyed every dish. The dessert was delicious and not too sweet. It started to rain, so they even gave me a poncho to wear. The staff is so sweet and friendly. Definitely stop by here if you have the chance.

Given its small size, with only five tables inside, we waited at least an hour for a seat. The food did not disappoint. We started with the black pig cheek served with bread, and it was surprisingly delicious--big chunks of pork, a bit spicy, juicy, and not at all dry! Next, we tried the "a brás," which features fried potatoes, onion, and egg. It was fantastic, but you have to eat it quickly as the thinly sliced potatoes get soggy fast. Of course, we had to order the Francesinha, Porto's traditional dish. It's quite heavy, consisting of a sausage, ham, and steak sandwich smothered in melted cheese. While it was interesting to try, it was a bit too much for me to finish, and I don't think I would order it again. We also enjoyed the octopus and codfish, both of which were pretty good--the octopus drizzled with olive oil and the codfish flaky. We paired our meal with a local wine, which was decent. Overall, the food was great and definitely worth a visit. It was surprisingly affordable given the generous portions we ordered!

They open at noon, as we got there right at noon, but unfortunately they just filled up the restaurant and we were the first ones in line for the second seating. It's a small space with only 5 tables, and they don't take reservations, so I recommend coming before opening to make it for first seating. The food is good but not worth a 1 hour wait. We were finally seated around 12:35. Very grateful to whoever ate quickly and left. Luckily for us, they had an English menu. We started with drinks, a white vinho verde for me and a beer for him. Drinks are very affordable here, with a glass of wine only €4 and a bottle of beer €2. For food, I got the codfish and octopus duet "a Lagareiro" for €24.50. It came out straight out of the oven in a piping hot bowl and was delicious! I love octopus and it was cooked super tender here. I wasn't as big of a fan of the cod as I found it quite bland, but it was still good. I'm taking a star off my review because my friend didn't enjoy his dish. There's only one option for vegetarians, the "A Bras" vegetables (€13.50), so he got that, and it was pretty disappointing. It wasn't what we were expecting at all based on the description, plus it was very bland We had to ask for salt, and once he added some it was better but still not good.

I got the goat cheese and honey salad which was fresh and delicious. Loved the creamy, caramelized goat cheese! My SO ordered a half order francesinha which Brasao is rumored to make the best one in Portugal. Our server did not ask us how we wanted the steak and it came out pretty much still moo-ing. Way too rare even for our usual medium rare taste. We ate it anyway, but would have been better if it had been cooked a bit longer. All the meats and the sauce intermingled surprisingly well and didn't taste too heavy, although I don't know how anyone can eat more than this half order, it is so filling. I think this dish traditionally comes with fries, but here it did not and we ordered fries as a side. I kind of liked it that way, as they were still crunchy. I asked for some ketchup and received the skimpiest 1/3 filled small ramekin. The lemon pie was refreshing and tart. A perfect little dessert to cut the heaviness of the francesinha. Reservations are a very good idea if you can score one, otherwise you'll be in for a wait.

They have flights, including one that's 15 euros where you let them know what you're looking for and they pick out the 3 bottles, which is very neat. I told them I was in Porto mainly to try Port wines, and didn't have much familiarity with other, non-fortified Portuguese wines, and would love an intro flight, but no roses. Got a mini-lesson in the wine regions of Portugal, along with a wonderful green wine, a great Duoro valley red, and a truly fantastic red from Alentejo, a wine region I had not previously heard of, but immediately went on my radar the rest of the trip. (They also sell bottles; I bought a bottle.) Note, they said they only guarantee they'll do flights (as opposed to full-priced full glass pours) after 4 pm, but if they aren't busy for the food lunch rush, they'll do them earlier in the day (on a rainy Thursday in January they were more than happy to.) Actually liked the place so much, I came back the next afternoon and had another glass of a different Alentejo red - they only had one open for tasting in the price range that fit the "intro"-priced wine flight, so I spent... I believe 11 euros on a glass of a fancier bottle they recommended. It was also quite good, though I think I actually preferred the first one. Also had one glass of a very reasonably priced tawny Port while I was there - they had several, but obviously, I was already well into my plan to taste Port directly from all of the nearby tasting rooms across the bridge, so I just picked one here. (Unsurprisingly, it was also quite good.) They do also sell food, but I can't comment on it. Great place for quick wine tasting, though.

I find the American country music playlist pretty amusing. The service is polite and the server spoke English well enough to explain where this wine came from, pairings for thiss and that wine, etc. I was only there for wine tastings, and maybe a snack to pair with. Good stuff overall. I love the menu! It's very explanatory; you could spent 30 minutes reading and absorbing some of the info about Portuguese wines, so definitely keep it after you order to browse and read. Pro tip: They have spit buckets. Ask for one and use it. Can taste more wines with less intoxication. Only miss was that they served me the aged white ports, which are chilled, a few minutes before the desert things that I was pairing them with. This let them warm up a bit before I could pair them with food, especially since I asked for small pours. Bathrooms: Spacious, bougie, clean, and functional.

As I came in on my own I opted for the one open stool at the counter. The restaurant was busy on a Monday early evening, about 5:30-6:00 pm-ish, with what felt like mostly locals. They have a regular menu, a daily menu printed on the counter top, and they also do Take-Away. Their specialty is definitely their roasted chicken, which one can see cooking on spits at the entrance of the restatruant, conjuring such amazing smells that truly open up the appetite. The staff is sweet and did their best to serve me, with my English/Spanish and no Portugese self. Everything I ate was top-tier without being fancy. Simple and flavorful. I ordered a 1/2 chicken (way too much for me by myself) that came with batatas (french fries- which I didnt love), so I ordered a side of white rice and a salad, as well as what I would call a carafe of wine (it was definitely either two very healthy pours or 3 regular ones). All in all, I paid $15 euros, which I thought was a great value for all that I was given and how tasty everything was.
