The waitress was okay, although there were a few assumptions made during my visit that I didn't feel were appropriate. I'm glad I checked it out and experienced it for myself. It just probably isn't somewhere I'll return to. We cozied up until someone left a high top and then hung out there. We ordered some drinks that were specials for the night and some that were regularly on the menu. We had a great time! Drinks were good, I think also reasonably priced. Music went from 7pm to 10pm and we got there around 7:30 and it was good and busy! This definitely feels like a family joint, their mascot is their little chihuahua Wishbone and I love that so much. Owners were fun, kept things going while the band was on break, just overall a really good time. I'm not much of a drinker so I can't speak to the types of liquor, but I definitely was feeling my drinks and couldn't finish my 3rd. If we lived here I think this would become a regular spot for us. At these prices, I'd expect a level of service closer to what you'd receive at a high-end resort, and unfortunately it hasn't been there. You're definitely paying a premium for the location and view. I'd still recommend checking it out, especially for drinks, sunset, or a date night, but keep your expectations realistic when it comes to service and value.

The main area seemed to be more shaded than the pool area, so half our group was in the sun and the other half were shaded, thankfully there was a breeze! The customer service was super friendly and they made us feel right at home. We spend our evening playing board games while drinking some good beer. It was so much fun and relaxing. This is one of Oceanside's oldest breweries. They keep to the old ways of making craft beer but still bring out more current flavors. They have over 20 beers on tap and a nice variety to choose from. This place is dog friendly and I enjoyed getting the chance to pet everyone's dog. Such a great find!

I don't recall offhand how many beers they have on tap, but I want to say it was at least 18 or 20 beers. They also have recommended mixed beers too. For instance, Tomas mixed one of their IPA's with one of their orange flavored beers and it was pretty good. The ambiance here is nice and I could see it being a place to take a date, or for group settings like we were in on Saturday. It seems like they have a following of regular patrons too which I always like to see at bars and breweries. All in all a great place with a genuinely nice owner who takes pride in his business and what he does. Would recommend and hope to make it up here again sometime.

I liked them but I didn't love them. Parking on the weekend is extremely tough in Carlsbad but the nearby train station has a parking lot that stretches for miles. I imagine it is supposed to be used only for train customers but everyone parks there and it is freeeeeee. Very nice beer and very comfortable environment.
