This is a bierstube within easy walking distance of the Ostbahnhof. The service was excellent with all of the bar tenders speaking English and German (one spoke French and Spanish as well). The house beer is great and there are 199 more after that. The food is typical stube fair: bread, wurst, mustard, fried goodness, etc... Food service is fast. No dirndls or lederhosen, but this place has a local vibe and started filling with pretty, happy people around 6:30. Prices were fair for both food and beer and the bathroom was spotless. It would be my local if I lived in that section of Munich.

Craft beers in Munich are a great break from the standard lagers, heffens, and donkeys! This place didnt disappoint in selection. There were 39 taps today and a load more bottles!

I was told about this place some time ago by a friend and have been wanting to visit ever since. As it so happened, we were at a workshop with yelp just down the road from this place and decided to stop in and check it out. It is a really nice rustic old looking pub with lots of barrels used as decoration and also as tables. They have a huge blackboard on the back wall that has a list of beers that are on their menu or have had before. The place was empty when we got there (we were the first ones there) and we had the place to ourselves. It is located a short walk from the Ostbahnhof station and very easy to get to. The beer menu here is extensive and has beers from Germany, USA, Belgium, UK, Ireland and other places. There are multiple pale ales and of course a variety of dark beers. The prices are not too bad either. I cannot comment on the food however they do have a number of options. I would happily come back here anytime, just to try a few different beers and, whilst I love German beer, it is also nice to have a decent variety of beers from other countries. Similar to the Porterhouse in Ireland and the Delirium in Brussles this is a pub with a great variety of beers from around the world and a nice addition to the city of Munich. We need more places like this one ;-))

Ahhh, feels like home! Now I know that whenever I feel like having a good IPA on tap, I can rely on the Tap-House. The bar has a welcoming atmosphere with the friendly bartenders and relaxed ambience. Great place to go with friends to hang out and talk, but plan ahead as they do not take any reservations. It was packed on the Saturday night when we went, and I can totally see why. So many beers from so many countries. Not only that, but they have over 40 beers on tap! What a feat (especially in Munich, where most of the restaurants sell one of the Big Six breweries)! Needless to say, I tried and enjoyed one of the IPAs (Sly Fox Rt. 113) on tap. With pretzels and beer cheese dip, it was truly an enjoyable experience. We also tried the locally (meaning Bavarian) brewed Camba Pale and Amber Ales, and they were both easy to drink. Glad to see that there are more to Bavarian beers than Helles and Weissbier (although there is nothing wrong with them).

A highlight of the trip. Tried four of their own beers. All superbly served and kept. A real change from the typical Munich brews. Great, knowledgeable service. Nice unusual glassware made tasting each beer a pleasure. Spotless toilets.

THE #1 destination for craft beer lovers visiting Munich. You will definitely find rare beers that you have never seen and will never again encounter elsewhere. Patient, friendly, professional staff, trustworthy recommendations. Chose the truly outstanding Rittmayer Oak Reserve Jahrgang 2013. Wow! Just an example of a very special bottle that was available, one of over 200 selections. (Very limited food menu.)

Braved the weather again and headed to Tap House - a craft beer bar! They have over 200 beers to choose from and its in a very nice setting! This is a craft beer lover's dream but again there wasn't much for me to choose from. Luckily for me they had a nice Framboise in the fridge and this was a really nice way to finish off our last night in Munchen!!! About 700m walk from the Ostbahnhof ubahn station.

    Just your average indoor shot.

Yes, this is beer heaven when in Munich! Its a little outside the main city centre but jump on a tram or bus and go here. Its quite new too so it looks really fresh:) They have several types on tap and even more bottles. You can get a varied selection from various countries in Europe and they even have some from the US. We actually found ourselves sitting here from they opened until they closed and enjoyed it all the way, The staff was attentive and fluent in English so it wasnt a problem for our rusty German to order our beers, Pricese are good, I guess it depends where you are from. Normally this would be a very expensive evening here in Norway, but we came out on top and all was joy! Had troubles getting back to the hotel due to some strong beers on the end, but still, lovely evening and I really recommend you all to go here whilst in Munich. It will be worth your while!

Amazing place. Went there to get some non-German beers and the staff was super helpful in picking cool things to try out. Had a 10% stout and my first two Belgian sours. I fell in love with the later two. Prices are fine. Atmosphere is good. Great place.

Nice place for some craft beers in Munich. They have many beers on taps (around 20, mainly from Camba) and a big list of beers in bottles. Service is friendly and prices are quite fair.

Great staff, especially for travelers! Beer heaven from the capital of beer, this place makes you feel at home to talk suds. A dream for a hop head like me. They played music I requested, they talked beer, they gave me suggestions on the next town I was visiting. Take the U5 to Ostbanoff and head south east on orleansstrasse, one block.

It reopened in February as a micro brewery and craft beer bar. It's located a stones throw from where we live and located in the basement of a residential building. There is a small bar with seating and some tables with seating for about 15-20 people. There is also a few tables outside for the warm months. It's been done up nicely and reminds me of small town pubs in Ireland. The menu has a lot of craft beer, some ciders, gins and so on. There is no food here and I suppose it may come at a later date. They have about 5-6 craft beers on tap. I had a Giesenger Kellerbier and it was really nice. I hope this place survives as there is not much foot traffic in the area. Also places with drinks only tend to be late night places in Munich and the fact that this place is an apartment building could prove challenging. It's a nice place and I will be back again.

I'd give four stars for the food and beverage, and zero stars for the service…read more We really just wanted to find a local pub to post up at, with a good beer list and maybe a small selection of nibbles. Munich has no shortage of beer halls, and a wide variety of restaurants, but we wanted a pub. A no-frills, come-as-you-are pub. The Royal Dolores was supposed to be that. It can be a bit tricky to find, if you come in the wrong door (which we did). Luckily, the nice man at the host stand walked us to the entrance of the Dolores, and told the waitress in the doorway that we were looking for a table. She got us squared away fairly quickly, which we appreciated. We were at one of the tables by the door, and it was warm. It was such a good start, but it all went downhill from there. We were seated at about the same time as a family of four, who were given the table next to us. We both placed orders at about the same time, and we both spent the rest of our evenings trying (and failing) to flag down the waitress. We each ordered a Löwenbräu Dunkel to start, and decided to share two of their tapas plates: the Dream of Schnitzel and the Fromage de France. I lost track of the amount of time it took for our beers to be delivered to our table, and stopped trying to track time when it came to the food. The Dolores isn't very big, and they weren't all that busy when we got there, so we were at a loss as to why the service was so bad. At one point, the mom at the table next to us leaned over to ask for our help flagging down the waitress, if we saw her before they did. The Dunkel wasn't that great - it had the flat flavor that always reminds me of a brown ale, though this draft did have just a tiny bit more flavor. My husband didn't really like the beer at all. He had planned on ordering a different beer to finish the night, but with the aforementioned missing waitress, it was impossible to do. The Schnitzel was delightful, and the cheeses were good (the sauces they served with the cheeses stole the show, to be honest). I wasn't particularly hungry at the time, but my husband wanted something to nibble on while we reclined and drank - that was the plan when we arrived, at least. I know we weren't the only ones bothered by the terrible service - the family next to us made it a point to tell the person who finally stopped to help us - not our waitress, by the way - about the amount of time it took for us all to receive our orders, and the fact that we were ignored the entire evening. It's unfortunate, too, because we both really wanted to like the Dolores, just given its location and the fact that it was the closest thing to a pub we could find at that time. It really only takes one thing to ruin a night for people, though.

The soup was refreshing and I really enjoyed it. The bread was good as well. One of the spreads was obazda dip which I love. I thought they made it ok. We started with the veal ravioli. They were tender and tasted pretty good. I had the restaurant special which was basically a chicken pot pie. I thought it was good but I've had better. I thought the chicken was over cooked and the capers inside was a bit off putting to me because there were so many and made the whole dish too sour for me. It was a bit off putting. My friend had the fillet with white asparagus and potatoes and hollandaise sauce. It was basic but I preferred her dish. The dessert had strawberry and tarragon I believe. It was well balanced, not too sweet, and I liked the herbs with the dessert. They also had a nice drink menu and a good variety of wines. They did not let us try the wine before pouring it which I expected since this is a nice place. Overall thought the service was decent but not great.
