Not like the old location, but nostalgia is best taken in small doses.
Definitely get a reservation, and be prepared for a very snug, warm (even hot), and lively atmosphere. The first 2 were my biggest challenges. We got a reservation, anticipating 2 traditional seats and a table. We ended up sitting at one of the barrels on stools. It was also very warm inside, to the point we were perspiring. These 2 factors were enough to make us physically uncomfortable, so we stayed for a couple of beers, but passed on any attempt at dinner.
Otherwise, service is very friendly and the environment is very lively and collegial. If it's anything like years past, the place gets very festive as the evening goes on.
Viel Glück
Cheers!
