This is not a spa or even a rented spot in a spa. She does ask you questions about areas of concern and what kind of pressure you like. She does use hot towels on your back and asks you if the temperature of the towels are okay. But she uses a ton of massage lotion! I mean a crap ton of massage lotion! I had to wash my flip flops and immediately shower as soon as I got home. As for the massage, It was so sloppy and jumpy. She was swinging her arms in such an aggressive motion that I got hit in the head a couple of times. And when I told her that something wasn't working for me, she insisted it was supposed to help. this is a no frills get the job done kinda place perfect for anyone with pain. i walked in with incapacitating back pain and walked out with none, relaxed and rejuvenated. June is a healer her hands are strong,and precise, she has all different kinds of techniques. i was in critical pain so she went deep and took it away. Really cant say enough great things. read more

I was given a Groupon as a gift, and as a new mom, I REALLY needed a massage. My husband works out of town and I wanted to go during the week, so I scheduled on a Thursday thinking my mom could help out. I didn't know that she and my dad were going on a short trip that week, so I tried to go by myself with my 4 month old, hoping that she would be asleep by the time of the massage (it was right around her nap time). She didn't fall asleep in time, but June was VERY understanding and sweet, insisting that we reschedule even though she has a 24-hour cancellation policy. I felt bad that she couldn't fill that slot, but I promised to tip her generously at our next visit. And of course, my baby fell asleep 10 minutes later during the stroller ride back to the car... figures. =-) SO... I returned a few weeks later with my mom, and she babysat while June gave me my massage. I usually get a Swedish, but because my muscles were so knotted from holding the baby and nursing, June suggested deep tissue would be more therapeutic. I consented. Many people dislike deep tissue because it is more intense than Swedish, but let me tell you, I NEEDED it. It was uncomfortable at times, but it really made a difference later on in reducing my overall tension. June said deep tissue is so much more effective than Swedish in having a lasting effect, and she was right! My back and shoulders have felt so much better since then. But it is not for the faint of heart - if you want a gentle tickly massage, request a Swedish. Besides the actual massage, I really appreciated that June was so accommodating. I have had other massage therapists who were not understanding when I was pregnant and trying to use a Groupon but had to cancel when I found out I couldn't use it for prenatal without extra charge, and they voided my whole Groupon because I cancelled too late. June could have told me that mine was void because of the complication with having the baby with me, but she is very kind and takes things into consideration. I also appreciate her training in Chinese massage, as it was great for my sore back. And yes, I tipped her generously, and I hope to see her again as motherhood will continue to stress the muscles in my back. June is a professional with a heart, and very good at what she does. =-) read more

DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT patronize this business! I bought a Groupon for massages here. I called twice to make an appt, and received no return call. I even tried emailing on the website, and got no response there either. So I called Groupon to intervene. Hmm, then she called me to make an appt - imagine that! However, the first appt was for 3 1/2 weeks out. Lovely! I am having back issues and the first available appt isn't for over three weeks! The appt was for a Friday. The Tuesday before she texted me (her preferred method of communication - which is not noted anywhere on the website or Groupon BTW) and asked me to change my appt to 4:15pm. I rearranged per her request which is not easy for us normal people who work! Then on Friday, the appt day, she texted me just before 2pm and asked me to change it back to 6pm. OMG! Are you joking? I refused. That's absurd, and unacceptable given all had already done to get the appt and that she had just asked me earlier in the week to adjust for her. Just had my first massage from this petite, powerhouse masseuse, June. Probably one of the best massages I have ever had. She is strong, and she dug deep but for someone like myself who has neck and shoulder issues the pressure she applied was needed. Using hot towels in between "going at you" was something I had never experienced and it really made a huge difference. Like another reviewer, I am not basing this rating on the massage itself, but on the complete lack of response from the business. I purchased a Groupon for 3 massages and contacted the massage therapist to schedule my first visit. After no response in 10 days, I assumed she hadn't gotten my message ( or was on vacation, or sick or some reasonable cause for lack of communication), and called and left another message. no response. After another week, I emailed her via the email on her website. no response. At this point I contacted Groupon with my complaint. They tried to get ahold of the woman with apparently no luck either. As a professional myself, I understand being busy etc. What is unacceptable and unprofessional is the lack of communication. She may provide a wonderful service, but if one cannot make an appointment how would you know? read more

This is not the "spa like" massage that is typically found. Rather, June gives a deep tissue therapeutic massage. For people like me who have neck and shoulder pain, nothing will make you feel better. Her technique is unbelievable and she knows exactly how much pressure to exert in just the right place. Her insight into non-massage areas and deep concern for her clients was demonstrated when she noticed that my back was beginning to curve. Based on this information, I have begun seeing a chiropractor who confirmed my back curvature. June's prices are very reasonable and her massages are outstanding. Honestly, I wish I could give them zero stars. This review is not based on the massage, as we never actually got one due to June's unprofessionalism and awful scheduling. I purchased a Groupon for this business for my husband, based on the great reviews it has. We have been attempting to reach June for weeks to make an appointment, and she never returned our calls. I even sent text messages, and no response there either. Upon finally getting back to my husband last weekend (one week prior to the voucher's expiration), we were able to schedule her one and only open spot for today (the day the voucher expires) at 4:45 pm. This was very inconvenient for us, but not wanting the voucher to expire, my husband booked the appointment. On our way to the appointment, we realized we would probably be about 10 minutes late, so to be courteous, we called June to let her know. She immediately began lecturing us about how it is rude to be late, and that she showed the appointment at 4:30, not 4:45, so actually, we were already late. She went on to say she had another appointment in about 20 minutes, so she would not be able to honor our appointment, and that it was our fault. I explained to her that she was incorrect in her recollection of the scheduled appointment time, apologized for running a bit late, and that we'd be there soon. She began getting extremely rude with us, and then said she would not take my husband today, but that we could reschedule, pay the full amount since the Groupon voucher expired today, plus a fee for rescheduling. I told her that was absurd, and she said she no longer wanted to do business with us and that we should just try to return the Groupon. This lady is EXTREMELY unprofessional, and I would honestly advise taking your business elsewhere. There are so many great massage places in town, and the experience should be calming, not disastrous! I've never been treated so poorly by any business ever in my life, and will make sure to tell all of my friends and family to AVOID this place like the plague.
