My husband and I were gifted massages with Kristie and I myself having done massage work for 20 years can tell you Kristie is the real deal. She knows what she is doing and has healing hands. Excellent massage. We will be back. Thank you Kristie read more

Thanks for wasting my time. Scheduled an appointment for a massage using their online scheduling system, afterwards I get a confirmation email with my appointment details. Then, I show up 15 minutes early to the appointment and find out the door is locked. I waited for 25 minutes outside of the building, called the number on my confirmation, called the number on the building and no response. Why would you have an online schedule system if you won't honor it?? Certainly never going to try this place again. read more

I have been getting massages for over 40 years at all different places from 5-star hotels to sports therapists to the $20 foot massage places. All massages in the past were "nice" but not very effective. Then I came to Kristie and now I know what a massage should feel like! Kristie knows how to get into the deepest areas and loosen up all the tight muscles. My back was so seized up from playing pickleball 4 hours a day. After Kristie's massage, I never needed to take a break from my grueling matches. She opened up my hips, relieved the pressure in my back, and taught me how to stretch more effectively. She works closely with the chiropractor in her office to customize the massage for each client. She offers a wide variety of services including cupping! Kristie is a miracle worker and the kindest, loveliest human being. So grateful to her! read more

I'm giving this place 5 stars because the massage itself was so great. I got a deep tissue massage and was impressed with the amount of pressure she used. It was deep, without being painful or bruising my muscles. She knew every spot that needed extra attention and listened to my preferences. Perfect way to start my day! Now, the only con is that the facility itself isn't visually relaxing (or appealing). It could use an update on paint and decor, but I was enjoying my massage too much to really care. read more

Kristie is great!! She is always so warm and welcoming, and gives great massages. My family bought one of the packages that she offers, a bundle of massages at a discounted price, and we love it! Sometimes we even fight over who gets to go get the last massage! read more

It was a Wednesday after my class and I had some time to kill before meeting some friends for dinner, so I thought I would get a massage. I looked on Groupon to see if there were any massages in Solana Beach and lo and behold there was and I think it was for 49.99, which is quite a bargain for a regular massage by a trained masseuse. The office also offers chiropractic care, so I was concerned they might try to pressure me into that, but they didn't. It's nicely decorated and staff was friendly. When I met the person who gave me my massage and she shook my hand, it was a very firm handshake. I thought "Oh no, what are my in for?", but brave (and stupid) me asks for a firm massage and there were a few winces heard. Then she backed off a bit. There's a fine line between pleasure and pain when it comes to massages and I'm willing to endure some pain to unknot some knots I have. Overall the massage was very good and she did some moves to stretch my legs that no one has ever done and it was definitely helpful. I would recommend this place, especially if you can snag a Groupon. read more

I met Kristie at the Encinitas Street Fair last year and she offered few minutes of deep tissue work on me while I considered if I wanted to buy a bulk pack of massages. My challenge is that I get muscle stiffness that significantly reduces my range of motion, thus leading to tendon and ligament injuries. At that time, I was dealing with plantar fasciitis and extremely tight IT bands. Kristie worked on me for a few minutes and demonstrated an excellent command of Thai stretching, so I decided to buy the bulk pack. There were hundreds of providers who would have honored the bulk pack of services I bought, but I was sold based on her knowledge, strength, and kinesthetic ability to work in that narrow area between a healthy stretch or pressure and one which is too intense and exacerbates injury. Since buying the bulk pack, I've been back to Kristie one time at her Acacia Avenue office in Solana Beach. The office is small and modest, though comfortable. I heard ambient street noise; however, Acacia Ave. is pretty peaceful, so the noises were only the occasional car passing by or another client coming into the office in preparation for their appointment. Kristie's initial massage was deep and she has learned to use obtuse angles when applying substantial pressure, avoiding pain, bruising, and the feeling like I am being jabbed by something sharp. Instead, I felt pressure, muscles unlocking/releasing and an overall sense of satisfaction. The stretching she engaged me in was really cathartic, including stretches that emulated what I would perform using my own body weight in a yoga class. Although yoga is great, I sometimes cannot get the stretch I need because I am actually too tight, so the assisted stretching really helps by getting to a degree of flexibility where I can stretch on my own again. As well, there are certain traditional Thai stretches she performs that are not helped by Yoga and I benefit from those, too (e.g. aligning her bent knees on my hamstrings, pulling on my elbows behind me, as I stretch upward without having to use my own arms). I recommend working with Kristie if you have significant needs and maybe more than just a casual massage. She is more akin to a clinician in her ability to help and her fees are higher when compared to others that advertise massage or acupressure. Don't be fooled by the comparison. She is better and worth the price if you need the work. I received a cup of water at the end of the massage/stretch session and felt more than just rejuvenated with energy; I felt physically unwound and healthy. read more

I am new to the area and kind of randomly ended up at Solana Beach Massages. It was definitely one of the best massages I have ever had. The location is wonderful, close to the beach. The shop is small and personal feeling, and there is parking behind the building, in addition to street parking. Kristie really applied deep pressure and used unique techniques to help my aching back. She also puts her reflexology knowledge to work. I will certainly be back. read more

Kristi is a talented healer! I had a masectomy a year ago and I go to Kristi once a week to help me with my lymph drainage and tension in my shoulder. She is wonderful. She spends time with me, explains what she is doing and I am always so much better after I leave! I have had many massages and Kristi is really one of the best I have ever had work on me. I know she works on several of us gals that had breast cancer and never disapoints. Even though, she has me out of pain at the moment I still go once a week to keep my arm healthy. Thanks Kristi! You are so wonderful!!! ~ Stacie read more

Kristie is amazing! Her therapeutic massage heals and recharges you. I have 2 small kids and do a lot of work on the computer and I can feel the knots opening as she works on me. I don't know how I would get through my week without her. My mom, husband and I go to her on a regular basis and have recommended her to everyone we know. Her knowledge and skill is above and beyond others we have gone to. She seems to have a gift for what she does and truly enjoys healing others. Don't let her small frame fool you - she is powerful! read more

I'm so excited to have found this place! I have had a handful of massages at different places since moving to San Diego, but I haven't been to the same place twice, a lot of people don't know what they are doing, or I haven't found anyone I liked. This was the BEST massage I have had in a very long time. Pa knew what she was doing, she communicated with me well about where I was in pain, what needed to be done to improve my situation, and worked on specific muscle groups that were causing me pain. It was amazing. I was so happy to finally have some relief and have someone that listened to my needs. She used plain old coconut oil, unscented, which I felt good about. I hate cheap, greasy, over scented oils. On particularly sore areas she used a herbal ointment similar to icy hot to help with pain. I found this place thanks to Groupon, got a great introductory and will definitely be back. read more

Returned in January 2014 - same conclusion as before: Kristie is very good. The massage room has moved further back in the building eliminating the street noise noted before. Professional treatment at a reasonable price. read more

"Just relax..." That's what Kristie said to me, and that's what I did. I been having this horrible backache for 2 months, and everytime I get up from my bed or just get up period I feel like I am about to break. At age 26 why is my body feeling like this? I work long hours, and can't imagine how tense my body is. 10 minutes into my massage I could feel myself gaining strength in my back again... After my hour session was done, I got up normally and my backache was gone! To my surprise I have not felt this great. It's been over 24 hours now since I had my massage, and I still feel great! Thanks Kristie, I will see you again soon! read more

I've had a LOT of massages all over the world. My search for a real therapeutic deep massage usually has ended in disappointment. But Kristie's work is so healing, so relaxing, so deep that I go back every week without fail. I strongly recommend her Thai massage to anyone that is tired about being lubed up and being rubbed. She's the best. read more

I scheduled a Friday appointment on Wednesday and the person who took my call asked for all my contact information. I arrived 10 minutes early and waited for 25 minutes after someone in the office greeted me and told me the massage therapist would be with me shortly. Later as he saw me still waiting, he asked me to call her. Apparently no one relayed my appointment time to the massage therapist. Awful customer service and huge waste of my day and time. read more

I've been to Kristie about 5 times. She is phenomenal. So knowledgeable and hard working. I like my massages deep. She is very strong. Before I came here I was getting deep tissue orthopedic massages for my shoulder. They were extremely expensive for a very short massage. I told Kristie about my shoulder issues, she knew just what to do. So now I'm getting the orthopedic massage plus a full body massage for much less than what i was spending on just the shoulder read more

I had a great sports tissue massage from Kristie!

Traveling comes with back issues and after a golf game today I desperately needed a good massage. I was in Solana Beach, CA so I googled Massage and chose Solana Beach Massage. Kristie Fang is the CMT and I have to say that this is one of, if not the best massage I've ever had, and I've had lots. She combined Thai stretching with Reflexology and Deep Tissue massage and I've never felt better. She finally got my back to loosen up and I feel energized. I can't recommend her highly enough......I just wish I could clone her in Colorado. read more

I never had a combo Thai/swedish massage before. It was the best. Never have I left a massage feeling as relaxed as this. I highly recommend this studio. I work a lot of hours each week in an office and despite the yoga that I do, this one hour left me much better off. I will be back. read more

I'm really disappointed with this business. I bought a Groupon for an hour massage and scheduled it about a month out. I didn't get a confirmation email, call, or text, so I called the weekend before to confirm my massage. The lady on the phone confirmed the person, date and time. I showed up for my massage and no masseuse was in sight. I tried calling the numbers listed for the business and finally got a hold of someone who told me no one was in that day and so I couldn't get my massage. Frustrated that I drove 25 mins to get there for no massage, they offered me an extra 30 mins added to my massage and rescheduled me for the following weekend. Again, the following weekend they messed up my appointment time so I couldn't get my massage. Again I was very frustrated, but this time they didn't apologize just gave me another appointment. I asked for a confirmation email that they assured me would arrive (it never did) and when I showed up for my massage they were extremely rude to me like it was my fault they screwed up the appointment time. Also, she started me almost 10 mins late (I arrrived 15mins early), so I lost 10 mins of my massage. This business is the most unprofessional massage place I've ever dealt with! I wouldn't recommend going here unless you confirm multiple times before the massage. read more
