My usual is a deep tissue massage for 60 mins =$50 If you pay credit just make sure you're putting in the tip. Some like to skip the suggested 15,18,20% screen and have you do custom. This Place Has Gone Downhill - Don't Waste Your Time I've been coming to this place for over 10 years, and I've referred so many people I've lost count. But after my most recent experience, I'm done--and I'll be warning others to stay away. A friend gifted me a Groupon for a 60-minute full body massage. I followed the directions exactly--called to make an appointment and mentioned the voucher. The first thing they asked me was, "Cash or credit?" and the moment I said "voucher," suddenly there were "no appointments available." Funny, considering I've walked in plenty of times over the years with no issue. I asked about the day after and was told to call that day because they supposedly didn't know who was working. I straight up asked, "How do you run a business like this?" and hung up. Magically, when I called the next morning, I got in within an hour--on a day they previously said was booked solid. Weird how that works. During the massage, the therapist left for five minutes to go to the bathroom. She also had the nerve to talk on her Apple Watch during the session. I've ignored chatter between therapists in the past because the massage was good--but this was just rude and unprofessional. She wiped my feet with a washcloth before the lower body massage, then tried to charge me $10 extra at checkout once she realized I was paying with my Groupon Voucher, calling it a "foot massage." Are you serious? I never agreed to any add-ons, and I've had their actual foot massages before--with hot stones, time, and effort. This was just a towel and a scam. They clearly treat Groupon customers like second-class citizens and tried to upsell me with shady tactics. After all this, I just paid a minimal tip and walked out. I was pleased that I was able to get in without a lot of notice, and the prices (90-minute combo for $70) are extremely reasonable. However, that is about all I was pleased with. My experience tonight was very painful. The girl applied way too much pressure throughout the massage. She was inconsistent with her attention to the various body parts...paying more attention to one side than the other. At times, I felt like she was going to keave friction burns as she rubbed vigorously. I was so tensed up trying to deal with the pain that I was not able to relax and enjoy the massage. I also felt a bit exposed...not covered appropriately. When it came time to pay, in spite of being seriously dissatisfied with my experience, I gave a $15 tip. That's more than 20%. She asked me for $20. I asked her to repeat what she said, and again, she asked for $20. I asked for what, just to be sure I didn't miss something. She said it was for the tip. This is not a medical massage. It has no frills, and the employees do not speak English. Go with this expectation, and you will be very happy! I HAVE had medical massages in the past and honestly my massage was better here. These sweet women are very good at their job- I have been here twice and both times I felt like they were reading my mind on where my knots were. They have always checked in with me on how the pressure felt as well. My 4 star rating is because it could be a little more sanitary. This is a very generous star review, in my opinion, and I'm only giving that second star because I understand cultural barriers can make things difficult. That being said, for a place that was meant to relax and unwind you, it was very difficult to communicate the services I paid for and I left extremely unsatisfied. Originally, I only came today because I had a Groupon voucher. When I called and asked if I could use it the day before I set the appointment, they told me they didn't honor coupons from Groupon so I cancelled my appointment. They texted me a minute later and told me I could then use my coupon if I brought it in after. I was dubious about this, seeing as they offered little information about my massage over the phone in the first place, but decided to go anyways as I was in desperate need of a massage. When I got to my appointment, they rushed me in and pointed to the wall of services they offered. I told her that I was here for a 60 minute massage but because she spoke little English, she didn't understand and insisted I point. I pointed to the 55 minutes and she agreed and gave me a service. This was not the most satisfying massage I've had, and for the price, I understand that I was going to get what I paid for. However, I did not pay to get laughed at when she came across my legs. (I am so completely serious right now; she uncovered my legs from the towel and *giggled.*) After the service, I went to pay and I explained my Groupon voucher. She scoffed at me, spoke under her breath in her language, and insisted I paid the amount on the screen. I showed her the text I received the day previous (shown in the picture) and she still wouldn't honor it. She scanned the voucher I had but then told me I needed to pay the rest of the money that was on the computer screen, plus tip. I gave a 20% tip, which, again, very generous, but it wasn't enough for her, or at least that's what I understood from whatever angry sounding words she directed at me. I kept asking for the person I spoke to on the phone, or anyone who spoke English, really, but eventually I have up because I needed to be somewhere else. Pros: In the 13 years I have been coming here, I have had one bad experience. All of the massage therapists are good and know how to sus out your problem (i.e., knots in your shoulders and neck, low back pain) even with the language barrier. If I go in there with a headache, they somehow intuit that and go for the head first; and they also go to the root of the problems (knots in shoulders and back, etc.). I tend to have my google translator ready so I can communicate my needs but even then they go above and beyond. You cannot get the type of treatment and expertise they provide anywhere for the price. I have been to plenty of high end places in NYC where they charge four to ten times as much but hire kids right out of massage school and don't know what they are doing; and it's a complete waste of your money and time. This is not like that. These people are trained professionals. Cons: although I have never seen it dirty, it isn't as clean and fresh as I would like. However, at these prices, I am sure they need a high turnover. Thus, I always bring a couple of t-shirts to put over the pillow on which you lay your face to avoid putting my face on that. I don't love the oils and lotions they use but for the price you pay it is a small concession. I have never tried bringing my own. The facility is small so you can hear everything. They have relaxing music playing but occasionally customers get loud, massage therapists and the receiptionist can get loud, and sometimes that affects your ability to relax but it's not that big of a deal to me. The one bad experience? When they come in with the hot towels to rub off the oil (which I appreciate), the towel gets cold fast and you're getting a cold rub-down. The last time I had a massage they used a dry cloth. And, she gave me a dry rub which is good for the lymph system. So it worked out. Overall, these ladies work extremely hard and the pros far outweigh the cons. I always give them a 40-50% tip for which they express their gratitude (unless I really don't like the massage and the person is clearly phoning it in, which I think happened on one occassion, at which time I think I gave her 30%). The comments about the tips breaks my heart. Why would you go in there with a groupon and give them a $15 tip for an hour massage? Is that how you would want to be remunerated for physical work like this -- touching and rubbing down someone else's body? You don't deserve a massage by another human being. I had read some previous reviews before coming here so I kind of knew what I was in for. But I really liked how affordable it was so I decided I'd give it a shot. I originally called and made an appointment for the 2 hour massage (90 min body 30 min foot) but changed my mind to just the 90 min massage when I got there. The lady spoke practically no English which was okay because she used google translate to help me and called a friend to talk to me too. The rooms were tiny but I thought it was comfy. I changed privately and then she came back in and the 60 min body massage started. It was very relaxing except the few times when she talked quite loudly to her friend in the other room which was okay. I was on my stomach most of the time, I would've liked to have more of my neck done and legs done while I was laying face up. Also, a few times she left the room and opened the door wide open while my body was exposed, I was nervous someone would walk by. Once the body massage ended, she started on my feet. She massaged my feet for maybe 10 minutes, then she started clipping my toenails and like exfoliating and picking away the dead skin on my feet. I just wanted a massage! Then she came over to me and said 10 minutes, and I thought she meant I had 10 minutes left, but when I got up to pay it was apparently an additional 10 minutes, so I got charged 80 instead of 70. I really like when masseuses ask like areas that you would like to be focused on, but she didn't because of the language barrier. I would consider going back here for the affordable prices and great hours as I work 16 hours a day Monday-Friday, but I am going to try and find some place else. read more

I gave 2 stars because the girls that work there are pleasant. The place itself was dark and dingy with makeshift rooms. Think silence of the Lambs. It smelled like food from the Latin restaurant next door, not spa goodness. Yes, my first instinct was to run, but I really didn't want to judge a book by its cover. Now the massage..... I opted for the Swedish with hot stone. I asked for soft pressure. She started out soft and then was pounding me like she was tenderising meat. Super fast and hard as hell. I kept telling her easy, easy, but she would just go back to super fast rubbing my back like nothing I ever experienced. she was TALKIN the entire time to her coworker in the next makeshift booth. sometimes screaming. it sounded like people were walking in/out of the room. The hot stones were a joke. And when she was done she tossed them in a bin that sounded like a loud crash. She was burping intermittently throughout the massage and it was disgusting. My daughters massage wasn't that much better but not as bad. I left there in PAIN And disgusted. My muscles are tender and messed up today. BEWARE!! You have been warned. read more

I would say it's meh... sorry I've had a lot of massages done in this style and mine felt semi-masochistic. I told her once that the pressure was too much. She laughed and then moved onto another area and it was excruciating. I told her she was not permitted to massage that area anymore unless she stopped hurting me. I understand the concept of deep tissue massage, but as a person who works with injured people, the process to healing should never be this painful, especially when someone repeatedly told you that you are hurting them. There was some banter and talking back and forth as one reviewer mentioned. The guy next to me smelled horrible and I could smell him through the "dividers." I get that this isn't an easy job to have, but not a good experience for me. I won't be coming back here. There also no parking directly in front of the place which I'm not a fan of either. You can also be injured if someone is badly trained, so the massages here may be "priced well," but not worth a destroyed artery or other internal injuries that can occur when someone is poorly trained. My husband and I came here for massages and were disappointed. We arrived 15 minutes early for our appointment and were seen right away. But we were extremely rushed. We both had to use the restroom and it took us a couple minutes to choose which massage we wanted. We were asked what kind of massage we wanted about 3x within 30 seconds. My husband told staff which massages we wanted when I was in the restroom. They then immediately ushered him into a room with my purse and bag. I was given the room next to him. As we were getting undressed, we were walked in on about 5x each by our respective masseuses. We weren't on our phones, we weren't procrastinating, we were simply undressing. It was very strange. It was the opposite of the relaxing experience we were seeking. About 10 minutes into the massage, I realized my masseuse never showed me she was starting the timer. Every other place I've been to, the masseuse shows me that they are starting the 60 minute timer as I am lying face down and the massage is about to start. That's when I realized they started the timer either when we arrived or when my husband told them what kind of massages we wanted, which was when I was still in the restroom. No wonder they rushed us to choose the type of massage and get undressed. After the massage, I looked at my phone for the time and I was right: it was exactly an hour after we arrived, therefore our massage was cut short by 5-10 minutes. The massage felt short. It felt rushed. In addition, we were placed right next to the front door. We heard every communication and transaction at the front desk, and everyone that entered/ left the building. Last thing to note is if you use a credit card to pay for services, there is additional fee. When I asked about the additional charge, they pointed to a small sign in the reception area. My husband and I left feeling better, more relaxed, with a few less knots, but customer service, atmosphere, and communication here can definitely be improved. read more

The woman was practically petting my back and when I asked to only do neck and shoulders she still did my legs so I had to speak up again. First, what a beautiful ambiance, soft lighting, gentle music, warm temperature, pretty screen dividers to ensure privacy. Who cares though really? We are here for a massage! They deliver in spades! Very firm and focused on your problem areas. Even included a face, neck and scalp massage that draws out the stress. Glad to have found this place! I called for a last minute massage and they were able to accommodate me and work out the terrible kink in my shoulder. I got a deep tissue massage and foresee many more in the future. It's not a day spa, its similiar to tui nai bodywork places in manhattan where they give a great massage for cheap, but you don't go for ambiance. It was clean, cozy and very friendly. I adore this place. It's my go-to for back and foot pain. I was there bi-weekly when I was pregnant. The prices are incredible. You cannot find a decent massage for under 75$, meanwhile these guys are way under that for 45$/hr. Also had cupping done once here, loved it! The only thing I did not like here were the facials, I would not get a facial here again unless they improved on their product line and ambiance. I made my appointments by the phone (same day) both times and didn't have to wait at all when I came in. location is a tiny building and it is clearly small when they have multiple people inside, but when its just a few people its cozy and it was nice and clean. I liked the music as well. I really liked my second therapist - Amy. I asked for a special attention to the back of my neck and she spent a lot of time and effort working with on it. First massage was still good, but not as great as second, too much "elbow" action on my back that generally hurts when you have stiff muscles (even I prefer a rough massage, it was little too much and I like more gradual work with my problem areas) But she finished the session with 10 minutes of most enjoyable foot massage I have ever experienced. Price is really great 40 dollars for an hour of body work (plus tip of course) and general quality is decent. I also tried their facial, it was nice for a price, my skin felt refreshed, but its not close comparing to real spa experience. Made a mini road trip get-away from NYC to visit Beacon, NY; and lodged in Fishkill. Instead of spending energy n money on drinks I went out n treated myself to what was really needed - a relaxing massage. Tao Spa graciously accepted walk-ins. I was grateful they were open late, as I hadn't decided until about 7:30 what to do that evening. I stayed at the Quality Inn, 5 minutes away, also recommended, so Tao is on your right coming from that direction. Park on opposite side of street from Tao- if you miss it, you have to make a right turn on Route 9 and make your way back with some U turns. Since I went after dark, this happened to me, so just sharing on parking situation. Otherwise, staff was accomodating, looks clean n decor n music is relaxing. I love this place. I text them on their phone number and can get an appointment for the same day. The deep tissue massage has kept me pain free. The prices cannot be beat. I tried it a few times and then found one of the people I liked best. Now I request her and always get to see her. Where else can you get a fabulous deep tissue at such a reasonable price on the same day? Also, they are open until 10, so I can go after the kids get to bed and not have to rearrange my afternoon schedule, like at any other place. I would take off a half star (if it let me) for the lack of ambiance, but I think if they made it fancier, I'd have to pay more, so I don't really care. Once I am face down on the table, I don't think about what it looks like or what signs are there. I think there are guys that go there thinking they can get a "massage" from these women and don't think it's a reputable place, which is a shame because they know their stuff and shouldn't be put in that situation, ever!
