She made it a point to really talk to me before the massage to find out what was going on with my body, and inquire about the root causes of any pain.. she used the perfect combination of pressure and heat in my massage. After holding on to my gift certificate for WAY too long, I finally made an appointment to see Karen. Man was I mad at myself for not getting in there sooner!! The space is so warm and inviting and relaxing and the massage was absolutely amazing. Karen took the time to talk to me and find out what I wanted to concentrate on for the session and asked great questions to get into ever better detail of what I REALLY wanted. She was sure to check in throughout the session on pressure and if I wanted to work more on a specific area... fantastic. My massage was fantastic. It was the perfect amount of pressure to relieve some knots but not painful. I was not sore the next day as I often am after a place like Hand and Stone. Karen was great, very nice and friendly. She was very intuned to my body and my needs. The room is inside a nice home salon, it is private, quiet and feels like a five star spa once you lay down on that bed, smell the oils, listen to the music and let Karen work her magic. Karen was great! Very professional and is committed to what she does. I have gotten a massage a couple of times before, but no massage therapist has ever been as interested in my wellbeing as Karen. She asked me what I do for work and tried to help me find ways to be more proactive about preventing discomfort due to work and daily activities. She is also very knowledgeable about anatomy and all the different muscles and body parts and how they work together.
