Went to use my 1.5 hour card that my husband purchased from there .. I spoke with the lady at the door, she said yes .as I was having my massage sitting up the whole time... ( never had a massage sitting up, could not relax) The male was extremely rough. At about 40 mins into the massage, I could tell that he was wrapping up ... so I tried to tell him that my massage should be 1.5 hours.. he does not speak english .. He went to get the owner... She was EXTREMELY RUDE . yelling Ni we don't have time .. meanwhile place is empty ... I said ok no problem.. I should've had a half hour left over portion of my card... she manually wrote $23 remaining . She charged extra time while I was still putting back on my toe rings and anklets. Did not appreciate the rude tone, slight aggressive behavior and the fact that I did not receive a complete massage but deducted money from my card that I did not use! read more

My boyfriend went to this place yesterday and the therapist went really hard on him. He asked if she could go lighter and she straight up said no! After that he could barely walk and today he woke up with two giant bruises on his back!!! This place is legit abusive!!! read more

Gold Leaf Foot Spa - Bruises from service - Massage Near Me - Newburgh, New York

My husband and I had a one hour massage this morning on Valentine's Day.and it was fantastic. The people that work here really know what they're doing.. they really get into all the nook and crannies. The price was very reasonable and I was very happy to tip Well because they deserved it.. We will most definitely be back! read more

They do a fantastic massage. It's very peaceful inside and pleasant people. We've been going there for years.

I've been going here for the past 3 months for foot massages while pregnant. Every single therapist has been incredible. The staff is so sweet and I always feel so taken care of every time I go in. read more

I have been here twice now and each experience has been great. All staff have been very courteous and kind. The first time I got a full body massage by a man and the second time I got one from one of the woman. They are fantastic and know what they are doing. I will be going back for sure! read more

Gold Leaf Foot Spa - Foot massage open area. - Massage Near Me - Newburgh, New York

My husband got me a gift certificate for an hour massage from this place for Christmas. As a mom of a preschooler, this was so welcome. The staff is professional and kind, and the massage is firm, which I like because my muscles tend to be very tight. Only giving four stars because the about 5 min before my massage was finished, a different staff member stepped in to finish. This is probably because I was 5 min late, so I highly recommend getting there early! read more

I was there last night for a foot massage , and considered body massage after but didn't it was late. The older front desk lady is a little rough on edges, but being from Manhattan I'm use to it.The man who did my feet was very good, but I do like it real strong and he didn't have that extra for me.I have been here for body massage a few times and they are very good, and the place is Sanitary and they take all precautions serious with mask spraying alcohol and everything else including changing into slippers at door which is highly recommended, my wife is Chinese and we take shoes off at door and put slippers on, so many diseases come from sidewalks and streets. thank you guys and see you soon. read more

One of the best massages I've ever gotten! The service was incredibly courteous and professional. I don't really understand the reviews where the owner was "angry". She was very gracious and kind to us when we came in. We got the 1 hour body massage and 1/2 hour foot massage package and we felt really relaxed for the entire day afterwards. My masseuse got to all of my knots on my back. The spa followed all of the COVID guidelines and I felt safe throughout my entire visit. Would definitely go back there again! read more

Massage was okay but not worth $75.00. An hour massage is $60.00. I left a $10.00 cash tip and when I went to pay at the front the lady proceeded to harass my husband and I saying most customers leave $15.00 tips. Will not go back and will not recommend to others. I understand this is New York, but in California foot massages were $20.00 per 60 minutes for the same kind of massage. read more

Absolutely rude staff. The woman gasped out loud at my tip of 20%, stating that the woman before me gave her $20. Good for her! It's a shame because it's a legitimate massage facility, but the owner is overseas. Clearly the staff are running things and are abrupt, rude, and greedy. I won't be going again. read more

not great the owner has a bad Arie attitude demands a certain amount for a tup even if the massage is not that great.

My last review was not good for the Gold Leaf Foot spa. In all fairness I just had another massage and I just got a body massage. It was pretty good and 58.00 for 1 hour was a fair price. I will not get another foot massage, but will continue to get body massages there read more

Omg ... the owner or who so ever is on front desk is straight up bitch .massage from nicole and Eric are wonderful but that lady will truly piss you off yell at you like u are a kindergartner. She is ridiculous insane ...poor costumer service ... be ready to get yelled at and forced to tip if you going there just for a relaxing time and massage ... she will throw off right after .... she is a bitch and dnt dersve anymore BUSSINESS from me atleast. ... read more

Becareful, very unsanitary. I refused to wear the shoes and the front desk lady got upset. Why am I going to put on a pair of shoes other people had worn before me. So I walked out. read more

Very disappointment the manager was so pushy about the tip money and the massage did not even do my ham and my leg the worst experience I ever have in massage spa. read more

Extremely relaxing and pleasant experience. The woman at the front desk was very accommodating and pleasant. Massage was awesome- I definitely needed it. Great pressure, hitting all the right spots. The hot stones were not expected but I loved them. If you're looking for a professional, therapeutic massage, go to a LMT. If you're looking for a nice relaxing hour, this is your place. read more

I'm more writing the review about the manager ~ the woman who greets you at the door and collects payments .I've been there about six times and while the massages were ok, the manager's general attitude stinks. She's extremely rude and very very arrogant , so this ruins my overall experience remembering back at all my massages i had there . I will not go again . last time I was there was fall 2023. She asked which massage I wanted as I viewed over the menu. Since I was on my way to worked I requested the massage for $30 (30 minute Swedish massage ). She began to laugh and said they didn't do that one ~ meaning anything else an hour or more . For some odd reason a male employee laughed along with her ~ probably simply because she was obviously his supervisor ~(& evidently is not an easy person to get along with. This particular time In my life was quite challenging as I'd just lost my mother . a word for the jerk who runs this place ~ think about behaving in a more civil, kind and professional manner towards people who go there. You have no idea what they may be going through in life . This is supposed to be a place one can rely on to de-stress ~ including professionalism at the front desk... So anyway I left of course, went to work and later opted to get an hour and a half massage at the Tao massage place in Fishkill instead (off of route 9. It was excellent as always ... Kind people and worth every cent . guess I got the last laugh ... Also at Gold Leaf Foot Spa their dilapidated sign is half way standing (& faded) outside of the building ...gives you a clue as to how they operate . why not call it "withered leaf and mangled foot spa" read more

This rating goes toward the owner and owner only. If I could rate this a zero I would... I was there yesterday and overall my massage was mediocre. The guy was super nice and I could tell he was new so I didn't make a big deal. When I was going up to pay the owner was super nice she told me the price and I handed her a hundred. I told her keep the change for the tip as it would be a little over 20% . She then proceeded to tell me that wasn't enough for the tip. I put 2 more dollars down to make it a $20 tip then walked out. They've been getting really stuck up about money lately. After 2 years of being a well paying customer they have lost my business. read more

Nice environment, clean, comfortable, and relaxing. My husband and I each received the 30 minute VIP foot massage. We both enjoyed our massages. While the hot stones were warm and delightful it was a bit painful when they were rapidly run over the bones on the top of our feet and at out ankles. Many reviews have mentioned that the lady at the check in counter was rude. I'm not sure I would say rude as much as abrupt and impatient. When I asked a question she answered then said something else and when I asked what; she said she already explained it to me and got a bit indignant. She was actually the one who gave my massage and after the massage she was much nicer and thanked me for the tip. read more

I went in for a body massage.. the gentleman that did my massage I found out later did not speak a word of English. So no wonder whatever I said he kept doing the same thing. I asked for a deep tissue massage instead I got a swedish massage, which I didn't want or like. When I got up and got dressed, the owner(lady) had a scowl on her face and stated that's the only type of massage they offer. That would have been nice before I wasted my time. Time is precious and you cant get it back. I wouldn't recommend it. read more

This place is a joke.. the man doing my massage didn't understand a word of English ... He only did long strokes... the entire time.. no kneading of the muscle.. DONT!!! go to this place it's a rip- off. I got a 10 minute massage at Glamour-1 nail salon in Newburgh which was amazing !!! read more

I have never met such rude people in the service industry. We didn't get a massage because we walked out before they even got started. The place has a weird dog/smoke smell and the front desk receptionist is just beyond belief. A massage is supposed to be relaxing - don't waste your time or energy. read more

I had a very good experience. Clean and amazing massage. I'll definitely return and highly recommend.

Amazing foot reflexology in Newburgh, NY!! Good prices - I paid $60 for 30 minutes of foot reflexology and 30 minute of full therapeutic body massage. They offered a quality service. Relaxing atmosphere, dim lighting, soft music - overall the sensory experience was spot on. I was very impressed with how clean the facilIty was and how kind the staff were. I look forward to returning again soon. read more

We were greeted by being sshed for speaking before your first session - the owner tried to make us use the rest room which we had done at home . I did read the reviews but decided that culturally Asians tend to be loud and misunderstood well I asked for a couples massage never were we asked questions because she wanted no talking does that make sense NO . So there was NOT a thorough assessment to address our issues. Consequently the Full one hour session: the time allocated is dedicated to your massage, and not consultation, preparation or dressing time. We each had a different massage experience I peeked to see how my guy was I noticed the young lady on top of him . My male masseuse had his feet planted on the floor the entire time . We spoke at dinner after the foot massage since the No talking rule only applied to us not the owner whispering in mandarin . Well my boyfriend had allergic reaction issues due to his face being massaged his head and ears she applied oil to those areas and his eyes were burning for hours once we left . We noticed while paying there was almond oil cream in the display which was a bit different and had a quick thought what if someone is allergic to nuts having no idea it would be him ..., Communication is key to any business clearly being considered rude isn't a good look but now that I know that our masseuses did different things even the foot massage was different my guy said he felt manhandled by his male masseuse . I had to tell my make masseuse he was hurting me when he addressed my back but he did listen immediately . We tipped and paid but again upon leaving we were ssshed . Needless to say we will be making the owner directly aware of the allergic eye burning issue as well as the non standardized policy while being massaged had she interviewed us this could have been avoided . read more

The massage was mediocre. Sore at many points. The foot massage was the best part of my 90 minute treatment. Although the reason specifically for the 2 stars is that the "manager" at the front desk demanded I tip her more than what I initially left which was 20%... I am absolutely disgusted that I was made to feel cheap when A) A tip is not mandatory and B) I gave a tip that was within the regular percentage. I'll never be back here ever again. read more

Been there 4 times for foot/leg massage. Once the massage was just ok, but other 3 times was great!! Unfortunately there is this one woman there, I think she is somewhat in charge and is very rude. Not sure if she give massages. First time I was there, having only been to spas in AC twice, I wanted to see what was offered. She kept yelling at me that she was very busy. Very impatient and rude. It wasn't THAT busy. Next time I saw her was yesterday and again very impatient IMO. I was trying to ask if I can request the nice girl that just gave me massage and it wasn't busy at all. Also she wouldn't let me get my card stamped. Suddenly it's only stamped when you get an hour foot massage. Says nothing about that on my card that already has stamp on it. Otherwise, good massages. So know what you want, in, out done. read more

Gold Leaf Foot Spa - Front and back of stamp card. Nothing on there about requiring hour massage for a stamp. (Didn't think to get card first 2 visits) - Massage Near Me - Newburgh, New York

I had tried again this year and had one good massage there. But they apparently can't keep good help. Turnover is very high and it is because of the manager. The same rude lady was there and she is very unpleasant to deal with. Is she the bosses wife? Why do they let her stay and what is her problem? I only had one hour massage. I advise you not to go here and try one in Fishkill. My second time going was terrible. read more

Went in with a friend for the $20 1/2 hour foot massage special (usually $25, which is still a good deal)...just to check it out. Clean, warm, relaxing, inviting...and a GREAT reflexology foot rub for sure!! I felt great, it is a real treat! Do yourself a favor and go!!! I'm definitely going back and perhaps next time they will still have the great hour full body and 1/2 foot massage special they were running. LOVE LOVE LOVE a foot rub!! read more

This place was really good it, a hole in the wall place located next to the Alexis diner. The price I paid for an hour full body massage was $50.00 dollar and it was well worth it. They brought me into a room, which was a tad small but no way a deal breaker. The environment was really nice and very peaceful. The past reviews were right about the manager, but you can clearly tell she's working on the attitude issues is being worked on. The only thing I had to say I didn't like was them helicoptering over me while I was signing my receipt ‍‍. But other then that. It was great. Five out of five. read more

This is simply one of the best massage and reflexology spas I've ever been to. They are new. The place is absolutely beautiful and clean. The massage practitioners are outstanding! My 60 minute full body was probably the best I've ever had in my pretty long life. Several of my body problems were healed the next day. They have an amazing deal for first time visitors. The prices are very affordable, and their specials are a terrific deal. Just go. You won't be sorry. Newburgh now has a great massage center. It's worth a drive from a distance. Woodbury Common outlets are not far, and the spa is right across the bridge on 9W. I'm bringing a friend today, my second visit. read more

I go here all the time! Best foot massages! The chairs they put you in are heaven! They cover your eyes, give you a blanket in a dark room with spa music playing it's delightful! Been a bunch of times and will continue to go back read more

I've been to Gold Leaf several times in the past 2 years. I have to say I bite my tongue each time with the manager at the front desk, she is extremely rude and sometimes you want to ask and remind her who she thinks she's talking to that way. They used to have a card that they stamped each time you went and when the card was full you would receive a discount on your next massage. My card was full and then Covid hit and the spa closed. Upon reopening I got my massage and handed in my card and she tells me the card is expired and cannot be used. I explain to her that that had nothing to do with me, the spa was closed because of Covid and that she should honor the card. She told me point blank it was expired and she was not accepting the card. In my.opinion, this was bad business. Last week was my sister and mother's birthdays and they wanted to get massages and made an appointment at goldleaf. My sister requested three female workers to massage us as we don't like the men. Upon entering the very rude manager states she only has two women and one man, so I take the man. Worst massage ever. He was working on my back with the sheet covering me for so long when I asked him if he was going to use oil. Then he used the oil and was only massaging my lower back no other part of my body and before I knew it he was done. The massage you pay for is for head to toe, no other area was touched except my back and mostly my lower back and he hurt me as well with the pressure he was using although I told him several times he was pressing too hard. I tell the front desk manager or whoever she is, how dissatisfied I am and explain to her I did not get the complete massage and that I will not be coming back. I was charged the full price and made sure I only left a minimum tip she looked at me like I needed to give him more and I refused. I told her point-blank that is all he deserves he's lucky he's getting that and walked out. Her attitude is through the roof I don't know how anybody goes there and deals with that. She needs to remember the customers are what's keeping the doors open at the place. read more

This was without question the best massage I've had for several years - including massages from professional sports massage therapists. Go for the great foot massage which starts while your feet are still in the water, stay for the back massage which takes every possible knot out of your back! I chose the combination foot and back massage (90 minutes, a steal at $60) and Jeff was my masseuse. Amazing!!!!!! If you don't like firm pressure (I do) be sure to tell him. Otherwise lay back and enjoy. I'd drive out of my way to go here! read more

Extremely rude front desk lady, possibly the owner. Massage was so so, I dont think my masseur responded well to my constant twitching as he was pressing extremely hard, when it was clear my body did not like it. Also, they dont speak any english so you cant really explain your needs and preferences. read more

The manager/front desk lady was so rude. After I checked out, I tipped the man that did my services about 18%; he held up the money I had just handed him to the lady at the front desk and proceeded to laugh in my face. The rude front desk lady then told me that I didn't tip enough and I need to tip him more. Just so incredibly rude, especially for services that were nothing special. Wish I could give 0 stars. I will not be going back here. read more

I used to come here all the time when I lived near by and it was awesome and affordable. I had a back and foot massage today and it was terrible. The masseuse was unskilled and didn't seem to know any effective techniques. He just dug his elbow into my back the whole time even after I asked him several times to stop because it was painful. I left feeling worse than when I came in and to make it even worse when they ran my card I noticed they charged my way more than what they usually do. I definitely won't be back again. read more

Very different experience than I'm used to but effective. I expected to have a room with walls for privacy and noise reduction. There are curtains instead. The Masseuse didn't introduce himself or ask if I had any concerns. There was also a young child of one of the employees there. Although, he remained quiet it was surprising. My massage was from head to toe and very firm, hot stones and hot towel included at no extra cost. Small plastic cup of water at the end, nothing fancy. If you're looking for a really good inexpensive massage without upselling pressures this is the place. read more
