The absolute nastiest attitudes here and what a shame. They do good work but I can no longer deal with the lack of customer service. For clarity it's not the owner it's Tiffany the manager or customer service lead at the store - however attitude definitely reflects leadership because it's allowed. Train your employee to provide accurate information so that there is no confusion. And if YOUR EMPLOYEE makes a mistake make it right with the customer, especially a customer that's patronized your business for over a decade. If you hate your job and don't value customer service please find a job where you are not working directly with the public. If you can deal with a nasty attitude consistently then this is the place for you! read more

This review will likely get flagged as spam based upon my experience of the owner but if it saves one bride from this nightmare then it'll be worth it. After a truly horrifying first fitting where I was reduced to tears after being yelled at by the condescending owner for not understanding what she was saying due to the language barrier, I received my bridal gown back today and it is unwearable, and not fixable. I have no other option but to replace it. I was charged $220 to have the waist taken in very slightly, the cups removed, and the sleeves hemmed. The sleeves were not shortened, my already too short dress now comes about 2" above my ankles, there is an awkward seam across the front of my thighs that is eye catching and crooked, it no longer zips (when in fact I've lost weight and was concerned about having to have it taken in again) and there were pins sewn into the dress. There are several other small issues as well that at this point are minutiae. Given the awards, news paper clippings, and photos wallpapered across the store, and overall arrogance of the owner I'm apparently one of the unlucky few, but I would GREATLY caution any bride planning to go there. read more

INCREDIBLY DISAPPOINTED! I specifically came here because of positive reviews & they not only did NOT do what I asked, but now two pairs of pants are UNWEARABLE. I asked for elastic in the waist bands & to take the legs in (I'm an apple body). I paid my $30 PER PAIR of pants, but NOT ONE had the legs taken in! Several of them have shoddy elastic waist jobs & two were clearly NOT taken in right, as they are TOO SMALL, so are UNWEARABLE! To top it off, we moved a bit away, so have had a hard time trying to take them back, and now I've lost the receipt. I WILL NEVER GO BACK. read more

If you did not see my previous post I posted not to go here. I could not post pictures before because my then fiancé was not supposed to see my dress before the wedding. Here is my previous statement along with pictures I could not post before. The dress never go back to it's original fit. I had to travel about 140 miles about once a week for 2 months to get it fixed and it took hundreds of dollars. "I went in to get 3 simple things done to my wedding dress and I brought a sketch pad with me of what I wanted done. When I showed it to Mrs.Tang she really didn't look at it and reaponded, "no, we fix everything first and then we worry about that". To me aside from the zipper I needed fixed and about 2-3 inches coming off the bottom everything fit well but, because she is a seamstress I basically trusted her judgment. There was a particular part of the dress I loved, I emphasized this over and over but her main focus was the bottom. I kept asking, can you take it off of the bottom and not touch this part. She kept saying no. So i agreed to let her take it from the middle but I did not know she was basically moving the entire middle section up WITHOUT ADJUSTING MEASUREMENTS. Also, because of the design I figured she meant she would some how fix it and move the material for length But fix the design. Before I left I told her, "please, any that you take from the bottom save it! Id like to do the other part of my dress with that material". Long story short, the seam where my knees are are now at the middle of my thighs, the precious middle section is gone and she insulted me for basically disagreeing with her about MY DRESS. She kept repeating, "It looks better this way." Further proving she did not listen and just adjusted my dress how she wanted. Because she moved the dress up and the leg portion is at my behind, it is extremely uncomfortable, ill fitting, and removed the hourglass shape of the dress. She also removed a design towards the straps of the dress I never agreed to. She refused to fix it. Legit looked at me and said, "hu, well, what you want me to do?" She mocked me for not knowing about pricing and then coninued with, "why did you come in here if you not want alterations!?".. appalled I replied, "? Because I needed to add sleeves, get the zipper fixed and get the bottom hemmed." And she goes, "WHAT SLEEVES!?".... I walked out of the shop because I was so taken back. I spent nearly $300 for her to completely ruin my dress and not even attempt to try and fix anything. She absolutely refused to fix or readjust anything. She argued with me and began to show customers around her my before and after pictures saying, "doesn't her dress look better!?" And I kept saying, "NOT TO ME! I don't care what anyone thinks it's my dress!" She literally rolled her eyes, threw her hands up and walked away" So now, after speaking with the designer of the dress I am spending a fortune fixing what she did with another seamstress. Which CAN be done. The bottom COULD have been hemmed like I asked to begin with because this seamstress is doing it. DO NOT GO HERE if you want your wedding dress done right. What an outstanding experience!! I was in desperate need of someone to alter my skirt for my daughter's wedding. I was told to try Tang's and was so glad I did. They get a nasty attitude when you take clothes back that was not done right even after measuring. I even took an example pair and they still screwed up 60$ jeans and she rolled her eyes at me the customer like I did something wrong and mumbling something in a foreign language.Atlanta Highway location=horrible business!!! read more

I had a dress that I wanted a more conservative top put on top. I went to a fabric store which knew it was doable as do I since I've done it many times before at home in California. Here, they began saying it's not worth it for them to do it because they won't make much....well then increase the price and give your customer what they want. Lame. read more

Took the first pair of jeans I needed hemmed in and had them pin them with my boots on so they would be the right length. She pinned and I asked her to make them a little bit longer, so she repinned. A week later when I picked them up they were actually shorter than when she first pinned them, so, no boots. Second pair of jeans 2 weeks later, I measured them to what I wanted them hemmed and took them in with the measurements. It was marked on the slip of paper that was attached to them. They are a full inch shorter when measured. Never again. 2 pairs of brand new jeans to wear with boots... that will never be worn with boots. read more

I took my mother and my grandmother's wedding dress to Mrs. Tang to have them altered so that I could wear them for my wedding earlier this month. I had them completely redesign the dresses to be more modern. Mrs. Tang worked with me to recreate exactly what I wanted! They did an incredible job! The dresses are absolutely perfect!! Today Tang's reminded me that customer service does still exist! I had some alterations made on pants and initially failed to communicate a portion of my request. Therefore, I was unhappy with the results. The owner made sure they looked perfect before I left and went out of her way to assist me and ensure I had a positive experience. They did a wonderful job on a dress and top and I ended up leaving lots more for them to alter. I highly recommend them! read more

I have been using Tang's alterations for many years. I used the Cloverdale location in the past now I use the Atlanta Hwy location because it's closer to my job. I have never had any complaints. Very disappointed...Took a pair of pants with a cuff to be shortened and hemmed 1 inch and I asked her to omit the cuff. She asked for payment when I left the pants which made me uncomfortable since you dont have an opportunity to see the work finished.. When I went back she took my receipt and gave me the pants. When I tried them on at home they were exactly the same length. All she did was fold down the cuff, cut it off, and hemmed the pants. She did not make them 1 inch shorter! Now I don't have the receipt to prove what I asked her to do. Very unprofessional. I will not go back. read more
