Took a long dress to be altered. it had 2 layers. She pinned it and while I had it on, she said it would be $120 total to hem both layers. I told her that that was more than I wanted to spend. I was going to then go change but to my horror, she began cutting at least 2 inches off the top layer. Still in shock, I dressed, paid and left it there. Upon reflection, I decided to go back the next day and pick it up for a refund. She still charged me $20 to do nothing but cut the bottom layer off and pin it! Won't ever return. read more

Yun tailor/alterations is a dirty and ill kept retail establishment. Windows and floor are dirty and my clothes came back covered in stray thread pieces, dust and grime. Barely even folded! Work performed was satisfactory but had to take new clothes to cleaners after they had spent 7 days there. read more

I visited Yun last week to alter some trousers that I had recently purchased. I was in and out of the store in less than 5 minutes, with Yun getting the measurements she needed. I picked them up a week later and they were exactly how I expected. Yun is very welcoming and her finished product was amazing. Yun did an amazing job on my wedding dress and my sisters matron-of-honor maternity dress. My wedding dress had a few layers of poof, and i needed it hemmed and altered (length and shoulders). I also asked her to make a bustle for the train. In total I came in 3 times over 3 weeks and she was done. I was so happy with how it came out and it was affordable. I actually came here because Tangs told me they couldn't promise my wedding dress would be done in less than 4 months (the lady was semi-retiring?). I came here on a whim and was so happy with the outcome. My sister was my matron of honor, and on my wedding date was due to be about 33 weeks pregnant. We brought her in over a month in advance, but Yun insisted we come back for her 1 week prior to the wedding since that is a huge time of growth in pregnancy. Her dress was simple (from Azazie), but we were a little nervous to cut it so close. She assured us it would be ready in time and she followed through! My dress was from David's Bridal. I would definitely recommend Yun for brides. Her English is not the best, yet we were able to communicate enough to get exactly what we wanted done. Thanks so much Yun! read more

I have been so very disappointed with Yun alterations. I used her several years ago to shorten sleeves on my nephew's suit. She did a beautiful job. I took several suits in just recently to have altered and settled on the date that I would pick them up. I told her that I would be there in the morning. When I arrived, they were not ready and I was told to pick them up at 5:30. I live an hour away from Montgomery and this was an inconvenience. When I did pick them up, it was obvious that the work had been rushed and was not correct. I left a couple of the pieces with her to redo. When I got home and tried on the pantsuit, the pants had been shortened but nothing had been done with the area of the hips which needed to be taken in. This is the poorest job I have ever had done on any alterations. I will pick up the clothes today and take the pantsuit back. If I can just get these finished and get my almost $300 worth of alterations concluded, I will NEVER go back! I started this process on 11/13/24 and it is now 12/19/24 and I am still waiting!! I do apologize for having to write this review, but I felt that others needed to know that all of her work is not worthy of all the glowing reviews I have read. read more

I read the good reviews on Yelp, looking for a good place to get alterations done on 2 of my dresses one of which I was wearing to a wedding on Saturday the 21st of August. I took them in a week before. I stated that I needed the one I was wearing earlier than the other one. I was told to come in on Wednesday to pick it up. Well I did not make it in until Thursday. When I got there I was asked questions about what color, when I brought them in etc. She looked for them and could not find them and told me I must have taken them somewhere else and did not bring them there, of course this was unacceptable. I told her to please find my dresses! So now she says can I come back at 5:00 she closes at 5:30pm. The next day was Friday, I went back to pick them up and she had found them she did a quick mess of a job on them and I could not wear either one of them! She put 2 different elastic bands in them and they were worse off than when I took them to her. Now I have to find someone else to fix her mistakes on top of that they were wrinkled up as if they were in a hamper. Now this is just my experience with Yun Alterations and maybe she does well with other people. But my experience with the event coming up was nothing short of a DISASTER. read more

I recently moved from Southern California to Montgomery. I needed a formal dress to be altered. Yun alteration is clean, the seamstress was knowledgeable about her craft, and efficient (I appreciated this because I went in during my lunch hour and was limited on time). Language barrier was not evident as I expected (I did live in southern cal though) and we understood each other (I only expected the language barrier because I read it in a previous review).
