I did a walk-in for a trim and was told that there was time for me. After my cut, I was told that there would be no time to blow dry my hair. This made me upset for two reasons. One, it was raining outside and did not want to go outside with cold, wet hair. Two, if you accept to perform a service you should commit fully. Do not say yes to something you cannot do. When I got home, showered, and blow dried my hair, I noticed that my hair was extremely thin and layers were cut way shorter than asked. I had no idea that my final cut had looked the way it did since I left the salon with I styled hair. Had I known, I would've said something there. I went in for a trim and left with a whole new cut. The layers are not blended, the cut was very blunt, and all in all it was not what I asked for at all. I am really sad about my hair since I liked the way it looked when I went in and was just looking to get it trimmed for health reasons but left with something completely different and poorly done. read more

I walked in one late afternoon in Dec 2021 to check this place out for a Color Consultation for a Balayage (it was free) for long hair and upon getting the quote for this service, I couldn't believe it was below the average marketplace cost, I jumped in and booked an appointment. No nonsense extra fees for the inches of length I found in typical chain brand salons. I immediately got taken by the charm of its interior and the harmonious environment, The medium size Salon has a fresh modern vibe, is clean, bright and feels cozy... they always have homemade cookies! They work by appointment. Their prices are affordable and the quality of their work and customer service is superior. Check out their website, it has some groovy retro photos for their menu of services. The "Gang" is friendly, professional, experienced and each one has a specialty. It's a bummer I can't find an opening around my work schedule, when I'm off, because they get booked quickly, so I learned to schedule 3-4 weeks in advance, like a Dr's appointment! And I was extremely pleased with the results from Megan's Balayage specialty work. I've returned a few more times in 2022 and booked color service with Cindy. Good results as well. When I showed up for my appointment this week, Megan didn't even bat an eye at my "Quarantine Hair" (I decided I needed Teal Anime hair - what was I thinking?). Megan reached into her magic cabinet and pulled out a wonderful color lifter. My hair was so soft. After a groupon deal sent me on a wild goose chase, I was referred to Sarah and she was able to give me a consultation the same day, and fit me into her schedule the next. I had a purple ombre in mind, and with my curly, dark hair, it became an all day process (seriously, at least 7 hours). I have extremelyy curly hair, and a lot of it. Its difficult to work with, so I usually am not too picky and don't have too high of expectations (just gets straightened 99% of the time anyways). I go with what the stylist suggests and don't ask any questions except to have the lion mane thinned out a bit.
