Megan was so great! she did a phenomenal job on my hair cut and balayage. I just love how it came out! I definitely recommend her

Cancelled last minute on my haircut the morning of my college graduation, very unprofessional and ruined my special day.

I had the best experience at Tanglez! I'd recommend it to ANYONE! After having my hair chemically cut at a salon in Las Vegas, I was nervous to have it done the way I wanted (both highlights and dimension). I looked at different salons in the area- I called Megan, who got me in the same day, working around my schedule! (unheard of in most places!) I was sooo nervous! I'd already lost so much hair- When I Arrived, I noticed the color theory in the salon! the attention to small detail, the friendly vibe, the multiple cultures getting their hair done from an affluent woman getting her blow out to a surfer trimming h is shag! Megan not only framed my face with highlights using detail and precision, she was able to balayage and tone my hair without damaging it AT ALL! I'm blown away! So friendly! easy to talk to! most importantly? Cares! she won't allow you to walk out unhappy!! if I could give more stars I would!! I've received so many compliments on my hair! selfishly... I don't want her to book out! lol but, I don't gate keep good hair!! (please save openings for me!!)) read more

I received a haircut from Megan and she is great! I will definitely return. The studio was nice as well

Visited for the first time today and never in my life have I ever sat on a chair and have my stylist not speak to me the whole hour. My roommate said she experienced the same thing months ago, as if it were the silent treatment, and didn't return. It wasn't a terrible experience to not have my stylist talk to me at all, but definitely didn't feel welcoming as a first time customer to want to come back. Plus, my blowout felt rushed and was flat when I got home, and my hair can hold a blowout well. read more

I haven't had a haircut in quite a while, to be honest my hairdresser growing up is the only person I really trust with my hair ( my security blanket) but I was headed to a bachelorette party and knew that my dead ends were not a good look. I booked with Megan online and she was amazing from start to finish. I arrived early and she was ready for me? When does that happen at a hair salon? She was beyond sweet and made sure to confirm with me exactly what I was looking for. I couldn't be happier with the result and will definitely be back. Thank you Megan!!! read more

Lauren was an amazing stylist!!! I haven't gone to the salon in 7 years bc my granny always did my hair and going made me so anxious. Lauren was so good at making me feel welcome and my anxiety immediately left at the start! She is also SO GREAT at hair y'all. One of the women getting their hair done came up to us and said my hair was gorgeous like it should be on Pinterest. YALL that's the best compliment I've ever gotten and it's all thanks to Lauren Lauren-Elizabeth Gomez yall, couldn't recommend enough!! she got me in within two days just before my trip next week! She's new so she's got tons of availability, but that's gonna get filled once people start finding her. Coming back for a trim in 6 months! Or maybe sooner for a good balayage read more

I've been here a few times in high school and had a so-so experience, but I decided to come back ten years later when I was in a pinch and was dying from having a 5-pound mane. Megan cut my hair and was very sweet, accommodating, and gave me an amazing layered haircut (I haven't been wowed by a haircut in a long time). I don't think I will trust anyone else with my haircuts now! read more

Very disappointed that I scheduled a blowout for an important event and the stylist never showed up. Come to find out she is the owner. I am a very flexible person and I understand things happen, but she never even reached out to make it right. I do want to mention that I give 5 STARS to Debra who works there as well. She has done my hair and makeup for years. She ended up letting me come to her house at 930 am so she could curl my hair as I got blown off by the owner. I didn't schedule with her as she wasn't working today and she still accommodated me. She's amazing. read more

Lauren did an amazing job giving shape and movement back to my hair. I've been avoiding hair salons since my last few haircuts over the years (at others salons) were mildly disastrous. Lauren changed my mindset and gave me a BEAUTIFUL haircut, keeping my length, adding long layers in the back and face framing layers that lay PERFECTLY. A huge thank you to Lauren for such a positive experience! Will definitely be back for regular trims. read more

The pandemic left me with a lot of hair and I had no idea what to do with it. Thank goodness for Megan B. because she was able to tame my mane and work with me in giving me the perfect haircut. Just look at the photos from my most recent visit!!! She is a wizard with scissors, let me tell you. I love the time she takes with making sure my haircut is perfect, and she's putting in a lot of hard work at Tanglez itself! She's recently taken ownership of the store, and I couldn't be happier for her. While I haven't had the chance to work with any of her colleagues, they all come off as very nice individuals and any newcomer would be lucky to sit in any of their chairs. Did I mention that they serve coffee and cookies ??? read more

I've been seeing Megan for about a year now, and I can honestly say she is the best! From the moment I walk in, she always greets me with a smile and offers a drink--such a nice touch that makes the experience feel extra special. She takes the time to listen carefully to exactly what I want for my haircut. I really appreciate how she sticks to what I ask for, while also giving great advice when needed. Every color and cut she gives me is perfect, and I always leave happy. Not only is she incredibly skilled at what she does, but she's also genuinely kind and attentive, making each visit so enjoyable. Also her head massages are to die for! Highly recommend! read more

I've been hesitant to write a review since my appointment a week ago - but after finally washing and styling my hair after getting it cut at Tanglez last week, I had to say something. I went in for a trim, and left with at least 4-5 inches off, and the most insane set of layers I've ever seen - which I did not ask for. I have been working to grow my hair out for a while now, and had long layers already -- and simply just wanted a dusting of my ends. She never asked if how much she was cutting was okay, turned me away from the mirror, and never once clarified the direction she was taking my hair in. I'm now left with some layers as short as my chin, with one side completely more layered and shorter. My stylist didn't say much to me at all, but the rest of the staff seemed friendly. I don't have an issue with the stylist, aside from the fact she left me with a hacked haircut. Oh and I have bangs now too - not purposeful bangs but not curtain bangs either, just the awkward in between. read more

I have always struggled to find someone that can cut and style my hair without butchering it. I have gone to barbers and salons all over SD and have rarely been satisfied with my cut. Anyway, I am getting married in October so as you can imagine I was freaking out about who I can trust to cut my hair for the big event. After asking around for awhile I was recommended to go see Megan at Tanglez. Knowing my struggles, she got me in her chair quickly and listened carefully to the style of haircut I was hoping for. After just one session with her I knew that she was the one that will make me look good on my wedding day. I just saw her again for my wedding cut and I could tell that she was really paying attention to the smallest of details which made me feel confident in the final outcome. After she was finished and I marveled at the way I looked I immediately told my Best Man to make an appointment with her as well. Now I'm looking forward to my wedding and my next haircut appointment with Megan. read more

Lauren is the best!! She is my goto for blowouts. Super friendly and she does an amazing job.

I have been going to Megan for cut and highlights for a couple of years now. She also cuts both of my daughter's hair. She does a great job (makes my highlights look so natural and grow out well enough that I don't have to go back so frequently) and is so reasonably priced! She just took over co-ownership of the salon and has remodeled inside and it is so much brighter and cheerier! I also love that she doesn't start out at a low price to lure you in and then slowly jack up the price each time you visit (like many other salons)!! On the contrary she has a "coupon" program that gives you discounts the more you come!! Highly recommend Megan at Tanglez! read more
