Hi all. Would like to inform community of my beautiful hair stylist Megan owner of Tanglez Hair Salon in Pacific Beach San Diego Ca 92109. She is worth the drive if you live in La Jolla or Mission Beach as I do. I have lived here for now 7 years from Ventura and Malibu. It has taken 6 years living here trying out 5 supposing reputable salons pushing unnecessary products and treatments with not so perfect outcomes to finally find Megan. All these stylist have said that they have to use toners or other multiple hair color processes to be able to achieve the level of blond I showed photos of. All scammers to get you hooked in believing you have to pay for way more treatments and products. For myself, the formost importance is a reliable cut and color with a nice detangler and conditioner included with a deserved and reasonable price. Color meaning no brassiness or yellow. Megan is a rare professional. She listens to what you convey and does that and more. Even if you are the person that doesn't know what you want her results are impressionable and up with the current trends. Let's talk "toners". I luv my natural color. All natural color is individually unique because it's you and no other person in this whole world has hair exactly like You. I love color and gorgeous enhancements and I like to be blond but I don't want to erase my own hair color DNA with "toners" because the stylist doesn't know or has the lack of experience to get it right with their color level or type of bleaching product they use, so then they just finish their color process in the shampooing stage to pour-cover over all your hair with a bottle of fake toner to try to fix it before walking out of the salon. Not sure about you, but all the hair treatments I've been seeing out there everyone has the same dull all over hair tone when they claim that the toner enhances your color. Not true at all. Hair colors and bleaches have been around since before Marilyn Monroe and all those movie stars with gorgeous hair definitely did not use these toners that are being pushed on you today. They did have talented hair colorist. Then they charge more as a gimmick because toners cost more. Megan does it right and honest without toners and knows how to work with your hair the first time. She just gets it right without toners. I like my hair very blond but I also like differences with depth, contrasts, and dimension in "adding onto" the previous successful colorings and the changes of your natural hair bleeding through in the correct areas saving your unique signature highlights. It took me 6 years to find a stylist that was confident in her talent enough to color my hair as asked and not have to be dependent on toners. I love my hair and it's as white and blond as I desire it to be and still looks natural and healthy and shiny. Oh, forgot to add....Megan has the most gentlest touch with her hands. She is like a harp playing your hair with never a snagg. She is careful and takes the time. That's also impossible to find I have found out with rough and rushed stylist. Extremely disappointed...my daughter went to get her hair curled for prom. The stylist curled it and after she brushed it out, it was basically straight. She curled it some more. The curls were not what she expected. Lesson learned if you want your hair curled do it yourself. When we got in the car, my daughter said is this a joke?? I feel so bad she has to rush and re-curl her hair. It was a waste of time and money. Especially on a big night like prom.
