It had been a few years since we visited THS and we heard that they redid the interior and possibly…read morechanged management, so we decided to give it another chance. The cocktails all seem to be named after nautical terms, likely a nod to their island locale. I got the Buoy, which was a tequila-based cocktail with blackberry, Campari, and rosemary. It was quite refreshing. We split the smoked salmon chips and dip, because we both love smoked salmon and Old Bay. This was tasty, but I think a cream cheese dip requires a chip that's sturdier than a potato chip. I ordered the seared ahi and my spouse ordered the burger. We both enjoyed the seared ahi, though I wish it had more of the whipped tahini and harissa. We agreed that the burger was solid, but not the best restaurant burger we've had. We finished with the key lime pie and pot de crème. Recommend both (though maybe avoid the pot de crème if you don't like coffee)!

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience at the Hardware Store on Vashon Island was…read moreextremely disappointing. From the moment we walked in (party of 4) on 6/14 Sunday at noon, there were one male and one female hosts.  The male host was friendly, greeted us with warm smiles. On the other hand, the blonde female host gave us dirty looks, not saying a word and acting as if she wanted us to leave.  She even turned her back on us while we were trying to ask her questions about menu.  A restaurant's hospitality starts at the front door, and unfortunately this experience left a very negative impression before we were even seated. At that, the experience there was ruined from the moment we came in because of this one female host and the whole experience was a total disaster. The fact she was an employee there says a lot of this restaurant. DO BETTER, THAT HOST AND THE RESTAURANT MANAGEMENT. TRAIN YOUR EMPLOYEES AND HIRE THE RIGHT PEOPLE!

Being a homeowner I've been to a lot of hardware stores, Lowes, Home Depot, Ace, etc. And because…read moreLowes is the closest to our pos, it's usually our go to. Now from my experience past and present, it seems that most of the folks that work there (and other hardware stores) seem kinda "habut" (pidgin Hawaiian for grumpy), not very proactive when it comes to customer service. Almost seem kinda annoyed at customers. I don't know how many times I've walked by an employee w/o being acknowledged or asked if I needed help with anything. When I do need help I always end up, 1. trying to find someone in that department and 2. asking for help. It's not to say they don't help, you just have to ask. Years of this I've kinda grown accustomed to hardware store customer service being this way. Never rude, more ignored and not engaging. This also taught me to be somewhat independent and resourceful, pretty much knowing the layout and aisles to find what I need. Then one post Thanksgiving day I stop by the Lowes in Lacey while visiting family to pick up some stuff to fix stuff around my mom's house. Through out my entire visit to that store I swear I didn't walk past one employee w/o a greeting or being asked if I need any help finding anything or what not. In all my years I don't think I've ever had this kinda customer service from a hardware store EVER! Normally they don't say anything as I walk by, in some instances they kinda walk the other way or avoid eye contact. Not this Lowes, I was greeted, smiled at, talked to. I almost didn't know what was going on. Now I don't know if it's like that all the time at this particular Lowes , but I say this with the utmost sincerity, this was the most nicest, helpful, pleasant experience in a hardware store I have ever had! Goodness, if they are like this all the time it would almost be worth that two hour commute just to shop there from my house...almost. And to top it off, I found everything I needed. As for customer service from this particular visit, 5-star!

We ordered a pre lit Christmas tree and a pre lit wreath from Lowe's for curb side pick up. We…read morearrived and parked in the marked pick up parking spots and notified the store we were there. The employees that brought our items to the vehicle were prompt, friendly and appeared to handle our boxes with care. We haven't had an opportunity yet to unbox the items and will leave an update when we do. The wreath box did have a gash in it though so being hopeful.
