They are always there 24/7,but they have specific drop off and pick up times. They made an exception for me and my condition. I showed up way past their close time and they were waiting outside to take care of my best friend "Grumpy" So I could concentrate on taking care of my health while they took care of him. I would never assume this is something OK in the future, But it surely was appreciated

The manager who runs the center is extremely aggressive and rude when you come to her with things to a point where it led me into a panic attack I'm sure she'll tell a different story. Now that my dog's been home for 24 hours, she's acting very different than she ever has before. She's normally very energetic after coming home and we go straight to the dog park the next day she won't get out of bed and is limping a bit which was not mentioned at all by the staff when I picked her up . They charged me for extra food when I had brought my own which I told them only give her the cans of food so they over fed her the entire stay but feeding her 2 cups of kibble per meal plus a whole can. I said don't give her any of the kibble and paid $40 in canned food which they used both so I wasted $40 for nothing and that is way more food than she should be eating in general. The staff when I voiced, I felt as they were being rude to me, ended up having the manager step in who was just as rude and due to me voicing that opinion they banned me from coming back after being there for 2 years giving them thousands of dollars. I've been sending clients there for years that aren't successful at the Center, I work with, but that will now stop after this experience alone. $70 for a simple bath for a 65 pound dog is crazy. My location charges 40. They also proceeded to make multiple commitments to me that they would send me updates about my Dog and it rarely happened unless I called and asked for it. I occasionally get a text picture(2 over the course of 10 days when I was promised daily updates) , they did not Keep the commitment that they would contact me with pictures every day. They are way better centers in the general area of Andersonville. That will treat you better and create a better experience for you all around and definitely did not charge you anywhere near as much for grooming, boarding or daycare. My name is clearly written on this review if you want to take your dog to a good daycare, that will take great care of your dog and not price guide you by all means contact me personally and I will direct you to some incredible daycare.

(we were lucky enough to get nearly a month of puppy leave.) It was hard finding someone we felt we could trust, but Jack and his crew came highly recommended from my best friend. And sure enough, as soon as I met Jack I knew he was the one for us. We work in social media so we have weird hours and our schedules change day to day. Jack is always flexible and incredibly accommodating. We literally couldn't raise Theo without him and his team. A BIG plus for us is that Jack and co. only take one dog out at a time, so I know that Theo is safe and getting one on one attention. I know "wag" is a thing, but I see those walkers with 4 dogs at a time and I shudder. What if one dog turns on the other? Also, we love that a quick text and picture is standard and included in the incredibly reasonable pricing. Spencer seems to be the walker who takes Theo out the most, and his pictures are always amazing. We cannot thank this crew enough for taking care of our little guy. It's such a relief knowing we have them in our lives.

The people who work for him (Spencer, Josh, and any others who I don't know) are also great, and our cat loves them (and she is a VERY picky judge of character!) They're very flexible, have helped us out on very short notice before, and have even helped us out with special requests. I could go on and one, but these folks are the best!

I haven't ever left my dog for a night since adopting him but I know that when I finally do I'll trust Liza to watch him. I am seriously so grateful to my neighbor that referred me. Before using Pokey Pets I was using a larger dog walking business, spending more and was nervous about having a different person in my apartment every day that really didn't know my dog. I love having the same walker everyday that my dog knows and loves and doesn't judge my messy apartment. She send amazing photos and sincere updates after every walk. Couldn't recommend more!

This service started out really well but has turned really unprofessional. The owner and sole…read moreemployee of the business tends to take things personally that aren't. On multiple occasions she has misinterpreted my intent and sent me either page long texts or emails describing her feelings about something I said or did that she didn't like for various reasons. She is far too quick to fly off the handle before getting clarification. I thought this was a professional relationship but I have ended up spending way too much of my time having to manage communication. This is where things unraveled... On Aug. 19th, Liza texted me to say that her schedule slows down around 3-4pm and said that if I wanted regular walks for my dog, she can do them for really cheap. I didn't need the walks but figured "why not" since they were so cheap. This is key. I did not need the walks. I did not ask for the walks. Had she not approached me, I wouldn't have ever done these walks. We decided on every Wednesday. On Sept. 12th, Liza texted me that she couldn't do the walk due to a personal matter. I said fine. We had, however, scheduled walks for the next three days, so the next day I texted her to confirm she could still do those scheduled walks. My partner and I were concerned that she may need more time to deal with the personal matter and just wanted to make sure we didn't need to find another walker. In fact, this is exactly what I said "Good morning. Hope you're feeling better. So we have you lined up for the next three days and I just need to know if I can depend on you being able to walk the pups because we won't be able to come back to take care of them. If you're not feeling up to it, I completely understand. Just need to know so that I can make other arrangements if need be." Instead of just getting a yes or no, I received a text saying that she doesn't think she has done anything in the past to make me think she is unreliable and then jumped to the conclusion that I may want to completely terminate the service, asking me if I wanted my key back. It was really confusing and total overkill for what I thought was a simple text confirming service. I clarified by saying that this isn't what I meant and that I just wanted to know if she needed more time to deal with the personal matter. I got a long response about how everyone needs to take time off sometimes and that if I wanted recommendations for a different walker, she could provide them. Again, I WAS COMPLETELY FINE WITH THE TIME OFF AND NEVER SAID OTHERWISE. So once I again said I was just making sure, she confirmed service and completed service. I then asked for vacation pet-care in October and we arranged for such care. Yesterday I got an email saying we need to change our Wednesday's to another day because she is now overbooked. Since I didn't need those walks to begin with, I said we could just not do them. I got an email back about how she's been so good to me and given discounts but that apparently they haven't been well received so maybe we should just do standard rates from now on. I was fine with this so I responded with, "sounds like a plan." The reply I got was whether she should remove the October vacation care that we had previously scheduled. WTF. I responded that I don't see why we would do that since my plans hadn't changed but considering this weird communication that it might actually be for the best. The reply I got was very lengthy and went on to say how ungrateful I was and how generous those cheap Wednesday walks (THAT I DID NOT NEED OR SEEK OUT) were; she states that she offered that price to work with my limited budget. Again, WTF. See above. THEN she told me my entitlement was something she chose not to deal with and was now forced to terminate the relationship. Thought that's what I had just done but ok. I've had breakups with romantic partners that weren't this dramatic. If you choose to go with Pokey, I recommend you tread lightly and be very careful with what you say and how.
