Avocado goat cheese scramble with fresh fruit - very good
    Lorie C.

Pleasant, beautifully decorated interior, bright and cheerful. We ordered a veggie omelette and the avocado goat cheese scramble. Both were good but liked the scramble better. They were served with fresh fruit served in a beautiful tall glass dish. It also came with toast but was not good - dry, cold and no jelly until requested. The coffee was good but for $4 would have preferred fresh cream in pitcher on table. Food was priced on the high side but overall good experience.

Was seated quickly at a two top, smaller parties are easier to get in sooner. Nice interior decor. Outside looks good as well. Our waiter, Mathew, asked us to be patient with us, it's his second day using the handheld Toast POS system to place the order. He's friendly and super attentive. On top of keeping my husband's coffee topped off. Ordered a coffee and green tea, corn beef hash harvest chicken melt with fruit side. $61.59 The coffee and green tea is very boring and average. The tea tastes like Lipton tea. The food was out in less than 10 minutes, lightning fast with the food here, check out before we are half way into our food. Burn and churn customers through. The harvest chicken melt is good. Like hen pesto. The bread is nicely toasted. Sliced pickles are crunchy and good as well. The house jam is good. The Greek salad is romaine and greens, that's a good thing. Dressing is beet infused, it's ok. Not loving the sliced yellow peppers, rather potent than the whole. I usually like to eat them separately, but it's all over the salad. The pitas are blah, soggy on one side. Corn beef hash skillet was decent. The corn beef is super thin and looks to be deli like. Fruit salad is ok. Service here is priority.

Service and food were on point. The layout and atmosphere are a bit opposite from cozy. Bar is in the center and the place is loud. Anticipate a wait.

They have been open about 4 months. Mom and I went on Friday around 11am so we didn't have to wait to be seated. What struck me at first was the attractive, large outside entrance and the very pretty, bright and clean inside. There are fresh flowers on the table, which is a nice touch. Mom and I have pretty much stopped having coffee out as the price is silly but we really wanted our coffee this late morning so we both ordered a cup. We didn't think to look at the price, figuring it would hover around $3.00...nope, $4.00 a CUP! AND A small cup at that! But it was very delicious. The coffee was hot, smooth and rich, but really $4.00, what is going on with prices everywhere! Our service was excellent. The vibes inside reminded me of First Watch but on a prettier and larger scale. The food was excellent. There is plenty of parking. My only complaint is we had leftovers so they gave us a plastic box and cup for the fruit, along with a cheap, flimsy bag to put it in. I put the box in the bottom and the fruit cup on top and it slid all over. The gravy spilled through the box and the juice of the fruit spilled a bit as well. $40.00 for brunch for 2 - nope, can't do that very often, not when I haven't been able to get a 'normal paying' job since 2022. This job and overall economy is tight. But I'm glad we went and when we save up enough we will return.

Was excited to try Tangled Apron for the first time. We waited about 15 minutes for a table on a Sunday, even though the restaurant wasn't full. It seemed like they were short staffed, but the servers were hustling. It took a bit for someone to greet us, but our waitress Jenna was kind and doing her best. The ambience was a nice--bright, clean, and well designed. I especially appreciated the fresh flowers on each table. It's a small touch, but made the space feel welcoming and cared for. What really threw off the experience was the constant, aggressive bell ringing from the kitchen--loud and rapid, over and over. We asked about it and were told the owner rings it when food isn't being picked up fast enough. But no one was standing around--they were clearly moving. It felt demoralizing for the staff and was honestly uncomfortable for us as customers. I ordered the Country Style Burrito for $16. It didn't come with a side and was mostly potatoes with a few pieces of sausage and veggies. Not worth the price, and I expected more substance or at least something extra on the plate. I'm giving 3 stars because they're still new and the staff was doing their best under pressure. I'll give it another shot in a few months to see if things improve. Hopefully with a better system and a happier team.

New breakfast/brunch/lunch spot in the area. Very pretty, light and airy space, good for large groups. Nice circular booths along with high tops and counter seating. The front has roll up windowed doors for patio-like seating which will be nice as the weather warms. Staff was very nice, especially our server Ava. Food came out quick and hot. Coffee is pretty good. The dishes fell short relative to taste. No buildup of flavor in the Meat Lovers Skillet other than the taste of chopped up breakfast sausage, bacon and deli ham mixed with potatoes, some melted cheddar cheese and scrambled eggs on top, which by itself was benign in flavor. Disappointing taste and meat portion for $17. Power Protein Scrambler came with a nice portion of fresh fruit, but again no flavor with the egg & chicken scramble and the portion was relatively small. Overall our tab was almost $44, without tax and tip, for two breakfast dishes and two coffees, which is hefty for a simple tasting breakfast. The ambience, interior and service are great but the food and portion needs to be better to make it worthwhile for us.

If I could rate a 3.5 I would. I truly had higher expectations for this place. The ambiance is lovely - very modern with lots of natural lighting and plants. The staff present well and look cleaned up. The food however, is nothing to rave about. I got the turkey wrap that came with sweet potato fries. The main ingredient was deli meat, while freshly prepared it was still mediocre. My daughter got chocolate chip pancakes in a Mickie Mouse shape. We both got a smoothie priced at $9 each. My 6 year old excitedly picked the watermelon strawberry flavor... but it was watered down so she had no more than a sip and drank her plain water instead *sigh*. Our bill was over $50. I spent $60 incl the tip for a deli wrap, pancakes from the kids menu and bland smoothies . Unless I come back for the cocktails (seasonal fall flavors - dang it they got me there) it wouldn't be for anything else.

Food: has a nice balance of classic breakfast, and new and interesting breakfast. Mom got the biscuits and gravy, and I got the tangled eggs. Both were delicious and came with the most amazing potatoes! Service: everyone was incredibly friendly. They accommodated mom for her physical needs. Ambience: when you walk in, it is so fancy you feel like you are on vacation.

    Burger and rings

Classy place with friendly and fast service. Very clean inside, everything from the floor to the sugar caddies and the real fresh flowers on the tables. I'm not sure how they are able to get the food out so quick and have it be hot and made right. Yes i got a burger at a breakfast joint but the lady the next table over got one and i was jealous. Definitely will be back and will try some breakfast items.

So I ordered the "premium" pizza from Joe's, the Muffuletta pizza…read more I'm really torn because I honestly don't think I got the best version of this pie. When I ordered online it said about 40 minutes. This is how long it says for just about anything I've ever ordered from here. Must be a default. When I pulled up the parking lot was pretty empty and the first thing I thought was that this pie was not going too hot because I am sure they made it right away. And I was actually 5 minutes early from the stated pick up time. There is usually a wait once you get in but my pizza was already done. When the girl handed me the box I immediately put my hand under the box and it was not hot. It was a 5 minutes drive home so it was only getting colder. When I did get home, I opened the box it looked great. I love their muffulettas so making a pizza out of the bread is a great idea. As I grabbed my first slice I noticed the pizza was not even warm. It had to have sat for 10 minutes before I even picked it up which is what I was worried about. Then, as I was trying to get the slice out I noticed that hardly any of the slices were cut all the through. I tried 3 different slices and none were cut through so I couldn't eat anything until I went looking for my pizza cutter. Yes, I had to basically slice up the whole pizza and the cutlines that were there, were not even. Some very large slices, some very small pieces. Not sure how you get slices that different in size. It was actually annoying. The taste was great, crust was cold but still very crispy. The cheese and sauce were so cold that they were already starting to thicken. Not exactly what I would expect with a $28 pie. And yes, not only did I have to cut my own pizza, I also had to microwave my slices after the first slice I ate. There was zero stretch to the cheese. So as I said, I don't think I got the best version of this pizza. It was a $28 pie that I had to cut up myself and warm it up in a microwave and that's after being early to pick it up. Not sure I'd order this again, I was really disappointed.

My wife and…read moreher parents are from Chicago, the home of Portillo's, so when they visit us, we have to go here! We do not normally come to this location but they are all pretty similar. This location is on 535 very close to SeaWorld, and also in a very touristy area. They have opened a few locations around Central Florida. The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating, as well as a drive thru. I think their food is best eaten there so its hot and fresh. Inside their decor is a mix of old timey cars and car hops. It reminds me of a restaurant you would find in the 60s. Its fun, the staff are fun, there is music and they also sell beer. I don't think I have ever really seen a fast food restaurant serving beer. Im sure they exist but I cant think of one. This is a fun environment, the staff calls your order out and then when its ready they use very fun slogans to tell you its time, such as "Order 165 it's time to shine" and "Order 173 come and meet me". This is perfect for families not looking to spend a ton of money and also get a hot dinner or lunch. There were a lot of families in here eating dinner when we went. It is very touristy at this location, the shopping center it is in, also has a White Castle so just be prepared. There were plenty of parking spots though. Portillo's menu is very simple, they have hot dogs, burgers/chicken sandwiches, salads, bowls and Italian beef. However, they are most known for their Chicago style hot dogs. Their Italian beef is very good, they dip the sandwich in a hot au jus sauce. A Chicago dog has mustard, green relish, celery salt, tomatoes, onions, a pickle and peppers sandwiched on the hot dog. This is a meal on top of the hot dog. My wife usually orders the Chicago dog with no onions or relish. I usually go for the Italian beef or one of their salads or bowls. I usually get something different each time. This visit, I actually went with the Italian Sausage and Beef combo served on a hoagie bun. This was a great combo and even my wife mentioned how the sausage was really good and something she would probably get next time. Service is always really great. Everyone is always nice and friendly. Someone is always cleaning the tables, everyone says hello, they are just really great with their service. Drinks can be refilled, you just need to go to the counter if they do not have their own self service machine. I would definitely recommend this chain. The food is great, service fantastic and a fun vibe inside. ACES!

The food is pretty much hot dogs and burgers/chicken sandwiches, but they are known for their hot dogs, plain and simple. They also offer other options such as chicken, fish, burgers, salads and bowls and Italian beef. The Italian beef is fantastic, it gets dipped in a hot au jus sauce, but you can also ask for no dip as well. Their bowls are not like a rice bowl, it is their beef or sausage minus the bread. This is what my husband usually orders, and he loves it. I usually go for the Italian beef or the classic Chicago dog. A Chicago dog has mustard, the brightest green relish you have ever seen, celery salt, tomatoes, onions, a pickle and peppers sandwiched on the hot dog. This is a big dog! This can be customized any way you want it, remove something add something, it is how you want it. This visit I did order the Chicago dog with no relish or onions. It's how I prefer it. My husband ordered something new, he tried the Italian Sausage and Beef combo which was served on a hoagie bun. The sausage was actually really so good! I think I found a new favorite item, I will be getting the sausage next time. The service is really great too, everyone is always friendly. They will give you refills; they call out your number really fun and it's just a great place. They read your order back when you order which I also really like. It is quick service, fast food whatever you want to call it, but they do make it an experience. I would definitely recommend this chain. This is new to Orlando, probably within the last couple years, but it brings a touch of the north down here! I love it! It is loud so kids can be loud. It is not super expensive so its a good meal for the family. There are a lot of items so there should be something for everyone. The only difference is the Portillo's in Chicago also have a huge pasta section which I miss. Their pasta was good! I would love to see it here.

When we walked in, we looked for the coffee menu because we didn't see anything. The young lady said that the third menu screen above the counter wasn't working. So, I just ordered a regular coffee. The lunch menu was on a small display board on the counter. I chose a turkey sandwich on an egg bagel. While waiting for the sandwich and coffee to be made, I noticed that the cleanliness of this place was lacking. We sat down at a table, and in the corner of a window was a good sized cobweb. So we had to move our table because I didn't care to sit next to a cobweb while I was eating. The vents on the ceiling looked like they needed cleaning. They were pretty dirty. Then I looked at the display cases and they needed a good wipe down. In between the cases on the floor I noticed it was messy with what I think were maybe napkins or debris of some sort. The whole place needed cleaning from top to sides to bottom. When I went over to the condiment area for some cream and sugar and a stirrer, it looked like it needed some TLC. The sandwich was pretty good. I wasn't too happy with the piece of lettuce sticking out of the sandwich because it had black edges on it so I just pulled that out so it would look more appealing before I took my first bite. The young lady that took our order was very friendly and she did a fine job of taking care of us. To me, it wasn't a relaxing place to enjoy coffee. The chairs weren't the most comfortable. There's a coffee place a half mile to the south and that will be the next place I'll try. There's also another ice cream place a mile to the east which I'd choose. This unfortunately was a one and done.

Review #527 Tuesday,…read more12/16/2025 This is My Updated Review for this Bagel and Coffee Business. My previous review was back on 3/11/2022 giving it 5 stars. The Last time I was here plus with another check-in was for a Yelp Elite Event on 1/21/2022. Unfortunately, I regret that I need to write a honest revised review with 2 stars now based on My visual observations while visiting today for a coffee and lunch sandwich hour. I met up with Yelp friend Laurie for lunch to enjoy a bagel sandwich and flavored coffee or Latte on a cold Tuesday. First off walking inside at 11:30 AM showed a poor "Ambiance" due to unclean tables, chairs, windows, carpeting and counter areas plus the tile floor. There was Only one cheerful female employee working by herself. I didn't see her name tag since not wearing one to acknowledge her here in my review for trying her best with efficiency ! This Bagel, Coffee and Tea shop was cold on the inside so it was uncomfortable to relax , eat and catch up with our friendship chatting without heat. Coffee Menu was not working on the Board Screen so when I asked about flavors of Latte's she replied the machine was broken. :-( I opted for a plain coffee with a liquid flavoring of caramel which she was Happy to mix and it tasted fine. I ordered the Motor City Bagel Sandwich for my lunch choice. She commented that she would make the sandwich first and the coffee afterwards since she was alone. The sandwich was alright but I should of asked if she could microwave it but I didn't, in case the machine was out of order ? The bagel sandwich needed a melt to blend. Pricing for My 2 item lunch was $11.00 which was Alright? Although I won't be back here so it doesn't matter at this point. I felt bad that this girl had to multitask with other customers walking in and waiting for their orders under such a poor disorganized environment. I showed her My punch business card for coffee purchases to use and she had No Clue about it and couldn't punch it for my purchase. Photo attached... So either I'm 3 years behind when it was issued or it is NOT honored or used anymore! :-( I remember back in January 2022 when walking inside how welcoming, clean and organized to relax with a beverage and bagel or sandwich from the Yelp Event and (My Free Yelp Shot Glass) yet today's experience was unsatisfactory and not very comfortable at all. I saw a fly on the entrance door inside which was upsetting! I'm sorry to lower My rating of 5 stars down to 2 but view the photos before and today. My comments are honest and true plus this review explains it all. I should of asked if the Manager was in the back to discuss today's dirty conditions but then has the Manager seen or care about? Maybe this Elaine's location needs their CEO Manager to visit in surprise plus walk-in with a look around evaluation?! Or the Macomb County Health Department. Sincerely, Karen N. (SpecialK) Macomb, MI.
