Visit Date: March 4, 2025…read more So I loved loved loved Vera Bradley for so long. One of the wallets I bought from the outlet started having wear and tear after less than a year. Sadly things aren't made as well as they used to be anymore. Once I have something name brand that breaks quickly or wears down after a short period of time I am done with that brand. So no more Vera Bradley for me except for the stuff I already own that hasn't worn down yet. I had a kipling wallet in my car, I also won't buy kipling anymore because of a backpack that broke on me fairly quickly but I already had this wallet before I decided that. So I was temporarily using the kipling wallet but I was obsessing over getting a different wallet even though it wasn't the best financial choice since the kipling wallet was still good. I had the day off work and after meeting my friends for breakfast, doing a trail run in Yaphank, and taking a gym shower (I had a quick car nap before the trail run), and looking in Marshall's and not finding anything I had a little time to visit Tanger Outlets in Deer Park before getting to my son's cub scout meeting and taking my son home with me after that. So I ended up wandering around the outlets, I had already decided against coach because coach products became trash long ago and I ended up in Kate Spade. I have yet to have a problem with any Kate Spade merchandise I've ever had. Arianna helped me a lot, she was great!!! I showed her a bigger wallet, the mid-sized green wallet I ended up buying, a wristlet and a smaller wallet. She priced them all for me. I was trying to decide which wallet to get or if I should go for the wristlet and the smaller wallet. The wallet I decided on is great, I love it so much and it was $65 tax included which is a great price for Kate Spade. The wallet fit what I had in the kipling wallet which was a plus and it's a smaller size which makes it a little easier for carrying. I'm happy I decided to go into Kate Spade and I walked out with a wallet that I hope will last me at least two years or more. If you're making a trip to the outlets definitely check Kate Spade out!!!

The variety of stores, restuarants, and the movie theatre are a plus. The ice skating rink and holiday decorations are beautiful. I found that the prices here are higher than Riverhead. The polo ralph lauren shop had discount signs in front of items that were not discounted. So a sign would read 50% off select oxfords but none of the shirts on the table with the sign were discounted 50%. So I was overcharged for 2 items in 2 differnt areas of the store. The non discounted items rang up correctly. The register is not visible either,so you cannot watch the sale being rung up.you can only catch the error after you receive your receipt and have paid. Alittle too dishonest for my liking.BUYER BEWARE HERE? The prices at the jockey store are more expensive then Macy's or Bloomingdales. Pay attention when you are being rung up at old navy and the gap too. Carters was a great honest reasonably priced visit. Love Johnny rockets, the singing staff can even put a smile on the face of a grinch. All in all I would suggest traveling the extra 10 exits to Riverhead for price, variety and service. If you want to window shop, enjoy a movie or burger, have the kids ice skate outsdoors , deerpark is your place. Millers across the parking lot near Christmas TRee SHop is a place to watch a game, have some ribs and a beer and end the day. read more

Tanger provides excellent access to the more upscale companies. The customer service office is polite and professional. The maps for locating stores are strategically placed in order to be accessible and convenient to shoppers. The coupon offers are an additional bonus. Love the Regal Theater and parking is always convenient. I was disappointed to see the Italian restaurant was no longer there. I would like to see a more upscale eatery there as not everyone is a fast food consumer. In addition, I think an excellent service that might be offered would be to provide a child care service. Perhaps an outside, already established business could be recruited to set up a location there in order to avoid the expense of licensing and insurance. Other than those two suggestions, it is a pleasurable experience to visit and shop at Tanger. read more

Tanger outlets = okay. Not great. Not terrible. My main issue here is that the stores are not that big and they don't carry as many lines or have as much variety or even stock as a non outlet version of the similar store. Now I know that is the point of an outlet store, but the step down shouldnt be so intense. The outlets can get crowded, but for the most part the crowds are okay. There is a good selection of stores, but as I said, the individual stores themselves aren't that great. The food options are limited and mosty unhealthy. Getting there from NYC is pretty easy though as you just hop the LIRR and then take a shuttle to the outlets. Overall, if you can make it to Woodbury Common, that is probaby your best bet, but if you can't and are in the mood for some outlet shopping, Tanger Outlets should do. read more

We were at Tanger in Deer park on New Years Day. The mall was open and ready for business. All Stores had ample help and they were falling all over us because the place was empty. We were there at 10AM. We picked up a coupon book because we are AAA members and the deals in the book are very poor. If you want to give a book, make it worth while. Anyway the stores were well stocked and beautifully displayed. There sales however were poor. There was absolutely nothing that we saw, and we went to almost every store in that mall, that was offering a price lower than you can get on line or in another store. In general this is a good place to shop but, you have to be careful. There is a lot of items to buy but the pricing is generally not as good a deal as you may think. read more

I absolutely love going to Deer Park Outlet, it's always a great experience! Went with son and niece. The selection is amazing, with a wide variety of stores offering everything from clothing and shoes to home goods and accessories. No matter what I'm shopping for, I can always find great options at really good prices. The layout is easy to navigate, and everything is clean and well maintained, which makes the whole trip enjoyable and stress free. What really keeps me coming back is the consistent atmosphere and the great deals, friendly staff, and plenty of options for food and breaks in between shopping. Whether I'm browsing or on a mission to find something specific, I always end up leaving happy. Highly recommend for a fun and productive shopping day! read more

Not ideal. They have a good list of stores, but I never find the directory or way finding that helpful. They also have shopper services (where you can get a map and coupon booklet if you're a tanger member) towards the back and out of the way. It is designed so that you have to pass through most of the stores in order to get there and get back - of course they want you to shop more, so from that perspective I understand the rationale, but it does not make for a convenient layout or ease of shopping. The parking is not great either. They do have a lot of bathrooms, however, and some overhead ceilings (it was raining out when I was there), which can help since outdoors. read more

Tanger Outlet in Deer Park is always a pleasant experience. I am not a weekend shopper, but weekdays this outlet is a pleasure. There are many popular stores, such as Christmas Tree Shops, Nike, Addidas, Coach, Uggs, and Kate Spade. Be advised that not all stores have coupons in the coupon book, but those that do, offer great savings. I was able to purchase a handbag and wallet valued at $583 for only $199 using coupons and in store sales at Kate Spade. I arrived at the outlet center at opening on a Sunday. Parking was not a problem. It was a beautiful day and walking through the outlet center was like walking through a cute little town. The first shop I visited was NYDJ. The staff was fantastic. I then visited The Children's Place, Justice and, of course, no visit would be complete without stopping at Ann Taylor. I have written to the company of Tanger several times. They only have one spot where there are people in customer service. It is closest to Grand Boulevard. They should have another spot located on the other side of Tanger outlet for those of us that shop there. In order for me to pick up a coupon book I have to park first on one side then drive to the other side where I want to shop. Also, why have a coupon book? Why can't each store have a little sticker on their window with the discount that's in the book? We show our at check out to get the discount. That will illiminate tons of books being thrown out. I always shop at Deer Park and happy with store selections. I had especially liked the bonus of the multi tier shopping rewards you had given in the past when you shopped certain levels. Not happy with new rewards. From the highest tier of $2,000 you extended to $2,500. We popped in while visiting family and it felt like a little holiday village. The grounds are set up so you can stroll from shop to shop, and everything is decorated in a way that makes it perfect for photos. There are tons of great photo ops for kids (and adults), which made it feel extra fun this time of year. The carousel in the center is a big highlight! Super charming, very nostalgic, and a hit with the kids. Honestly, it added so much character to the whole place. There's a really nice mix of shops too. You'll find boutique-style stores, specialty food shops, gift ideas, sweets, and unique little spots you don't usually see all in one place. It's great for browsing, grabbing small gifts, or just wandering around without feeling rushed. We stopped for pizza at Brezza pizza, which is right there in the shoppes, and it was the perfect break in the middle of walking around. Easy, casual, and exactly what you want when you're out with family and kids. The Shoppes at East Wind is just so cute. It's festive without being overwhelming, family-friendly, and a really fun place to spend an hour or two during the holidays. Whether you're shopping, grabbing food, or just there for the carousel and photos, it's definitely worth stopping by if you're in the area.
