Returning with dessert and food plates not cleared despite 3 staff staring at us from the entry ? But not being of service.

Save your time and money do not come here. I had guests from America request to have dinner at an Indian buffet. We made reservations over 2 weeks in advance. Was required to make a deposit of $100 for 5 people.I have never heard of needing a deposit I a have heard of taking a card and charging it if no show. So that should've been the first red flag. Anyways. We showed up was required to wait 10-15 mins despite our reservations. When arrived we were seated. I spefically spoke with the waiter and said we would like tap water. He replied with still or spaarkin? I said flat tap water is fine aware that sparking or bottle is a cost. I went to the buffet and returned to glasses on the table and two bottles on the table. It is natural assumption this is what i asked for since the glasses were not yet there also no new bottle was on the table despite me telling him. After opening and pouring from my husband saw the price tag. We called over the waiter and explained I specifically asked for flat tap water. She said it is open and I should have read. I have never had a sneaky experience like this. They try to sneak an extra charge. Anyways the service was followed with being extremely poor. The 3 staff stood at the front of the dining room staring at you however would not clear the table in a timely manner. We would return from the buffet and old plates were still there. If asking question they were extremely hostile and rude. The buffet itself self is extremely poor quality. The biryani was dry not seasoned and truly embarrassing to show my out of town friends as an intro to Indian food. They do not refill the food quick enough. They are extremely disorganized and food is not flavoured not even salt. Bland and barely seasoned. Ive had better Indian food as takeout. The desserts also were terrible. The soft serve is not labeled.... It is frozen yogurt no label. Fruit selection included only melons and grapes. Also the staff stand a round when plates and foods need to be refilled. When the bill came my husband explained we openddd the water but did not consume also explained I asked specifically for tap water and he added glasses to the table. He grabbed the bill from my husbands hand and returned with it minus. I had told from the start it was going to be split. He handed the total again. He declined splitting it not sure since that is basic request. Instead he handed the machine around. Save yourself the time and dissatisfaction not recommending it to anyone. We also came all the way from Oshawa for this restaurant since it is so advertised. Waste of time and gas. My guests were so uncomfortable it really ruined their experience for intro to Indian food. Will never be returning and will let all know to avoid.

The $5.99/each water that we never asked for! They look like carafes, right? I have trust issues now.

I HAVE TRUST ISSUES NOW. We were a party of 14 coming together for our friend's birthday but our recent experience at Tandoori Flame restaurant in Brampton left us feeling disappointed, and quite honestly, cheated. While the overall ambiance and food were decent, I was taken aback by an unexpected charge for water. The staff did not inform us initially that water was an additional cost. We DID NOT ask for water. When we were seated, there were already about 7 carafes (glass containers) on the table. In most restaurants, you'll be given tap water unless you specifically ask for bottled water that you agree to pay for. Halfway through our dining experience, some of us ordered other beverages and when they served those, that was when the waiter mentioned that the water we had (already drank all of it) has a charge, $6 EACH. We realized we were charged for something we assumed would be complimentary, we thought it was tap water! This lack of transparency was quite off-putting and left a sour taste in our mouths. Although the food itself was average, the disappointment of being charged for water without prior notice overshadowed the dining experience. It would have been much appreciated if the restaurant had been upfront about this additional charge from the beginning. As a customer, I believe it's essential for establishments to communicate all costs clearly, ensuring transparency and avoiding any unpleasant surprises. Regrettably, Tandoori Flame fell short in this regard. I gave my feedback but the waiter said that they mentioned the charges (yes they did, again after they served the other beverages in the middle of the meal.) How sneaky! I'm noticing that this kind of practice is rampant in these restaurants serving similar cuisine (not all), which means I just have to be more skeptical when I'm dining in. How unfortunate. FYI, I confirmed that you can order TAP water, at no charge! Obviously, they don't offer it as an option. I asked why they didn't offer it as an option, and the answer? "This has always how it's done here". Noted. Now we all know! Oh, you won't see any prices for beverages but a heads up, a pitcher of beer/mojito was $34. RIP. 1 star was for the decent food. Consequently, I would hesitate to recommend Tandoori Flame based on my recent experience.

Stopped in for a late lunch/ early supper and found the buffet to be still quite well stocked. Service was at first quite quick but after initially getting served and my drink order taken it was a bit slow to get another drink or have plates taken away. Will likely return again when I'm next in the mood for an Indian buffet.

So it's all you can eat Indian food with a time limit of 1.5 hrs and then you're charged extra (14) if you are late. They had a fruit salad corner, Chaat corner, snack bar, mains and sweets. The live stations were not that live and they didn't refill the items getting empty. I would say it's not bad for the cost but also I'm not that impressed with the quality and taste of the food they are offering. Wouldn't recommend trying at all. P.S worst Daal Makhni I have ever had

This is supposed to be the largest Indian buffet North America. I don't know about that, but the selection is huge & the food is awesome. Most dishes are good & some are very good. Besides the usual North Indian dishes, there's also a South Indian corner; it's my first time seeing dosa at a buffet (paper dosa - which is folded up & crispy). There's also DIY chaat, so you can make your dream chaat, breaking all the rules if necessary. There're no instructions though so if you don't know what you're doing, too bad. There's a Kids Corner, which is not an afterthought - the fries are really good. They also have a huge dessert section with Western as well as India desserts & not just the usual dishes like gulab jamun - there's also petha.

So I had the chance to try out the famed restaurant in Toronto. It's quite priced at nearly $30 per person. However, I felt the quality below par. The food was oily, greasy, and had a high amount of salt or cream. Anything which resembled healthy was knocked off the menu still, I just could not believe the large number of people which had come to this place. Felt like it's just living off its past reputation. While I could force my elder son to eat the stuff since we have paid so much money, my three year old, who doesn't understand financials choose what was actually the most eatable thing in the menu, which was fruits and Salad. Anything which was cooked , seemed either overcooked or undercooked. At the end, I spent one hour at the restaurant, had my stomach full, but my soul empty.

I always bring my friends who wants to try Indian food and this place has everything. We have an autistic child who only eats Mc Donald fries and nothing else. We can't leave him in the car so we have to bring him inside. The restaurant also charged the child. Their explanation is, the child will taste their food. The child did not even touch the food, look nor smell, all he does was play with his IPad.

Decided to go here cause my mom was curious and wanted to check it out. To sum it up.. what Mandarin is to Asian food, Tandoori Flame is to Indian food. It is pretty much mass food you get at a buffet with only a few standouts. What I liked: - Butter chicken - Samosa - Biryani Rice - Chicken Pakora Everything else was just meh for me. The only thing I really disliked was the Masala Shikanji, a indian lemonade drink. Granted, maybe it is because I'm not use to this drink but I found it very pungent and almost bitter. Definitely not to my taste. Overall, I recommend just going to an Indian restaurant to get better quality. I dont really see the cost saving unless you are going with a big family.

horrible experience! over priced do not allow anyone to enter in a group until they too buy the full buffet ! too crowded ! drinks not included in the price - just to inform ice cream was bad - all melted - when we raised ! this issue the manager Mr Manoj came and instead of looking into the matter he went on a tangent and blaming customera behaviour rather than taking action do not expect great food or great polite service too much glitz with no great variety so many better options are available

Upon entering the restaurant I was greeted to a very clean and modern ambience that reminded me kind of like some of the big buffets in Las Vegas. Very cool setup where they have 3 self serve fountain drinks which is included in your buffet price. In the middle they have a grilling area where they are grilling Basa fish, salmon, chicken, sirloin steak. The steak was amazing they put this butter, garlic garnish on top that makes it so delicious. I had 8 of these steaks this evening! They also had a stir fry, soup noodle where you can choose your own ingredients, different vegetables and protein and carbs for them to either turn into a stir fry or soup noodle. They had plenty of ice cream to choose from as well as a soft serve ice cream machine. The service provided by the employees were top notch, so friendly, and helpful. Very pleased with my experience and just to note my visit was on a Friday night so your good selections may be different depending on a weekday or weekend.

The only thing that I didn't like the first time around, and didn't like this time around either, was the lighting. It was much too dark in the restaurant, even though it was daytime. We were even sitting at a table near the bar, which had potlights however, it was still dark. We were served by Nimrat, whom brought over our menus, and allowed us ample time to order our items. I had settled on butter chicken, with a side order of regular naan, and plain rice. The food took a bit long to arrive however, since there were seven in our group, I understood why the food took longer to prepare. However, once the food came, I was very happy with how delicious everything was! The butter chicken came in a large dish, which was placed on top of a small pot with a flame inside, which kept the butter chicken hot during my entire visit; this was a great addition to the meal! The naan was an excellent accompaniment, along with the plain rice; everything was well-prepared, with the perfect amount of flavouring. It also wasn't spicy, which is perfect for my taste buds; this chef definitely knows how to cook an excellent meal! Nimrat checked on us regularly, filling our glasses with water, and taking away any dishes that we had finished with. Even the owner came by to greet us, and ask how we were enjoying everything. Overall, this place had excellent food, with wonderful service provided by Nimrat, and beautiful décor. The only thing that I didn't like was the lighting however, I would definitely come back.

After my glowing review I decided to come back…read more Unfortunately, what I didn't fully understand was that to show up on a Saturday night without a reservation (for a Chinese buffet?) would result in a 1.75 hour wait. But I waited it out in their tiny waiting area. When I got in, the food was good but not great. I later learned why... I got terribly sick during my visit and spent the rest of the evening with a stomach bug. Did I get it here? Before my visit? I dunno, but I don't think it was related to the food itself. So I will let my 2024 review (which I posted under the wrong location at the time) apply to this one. PS: the room I was seated at this time had a magnificent 20' tall waterfall. 2024 Review: I have never been on a cruise ship or two a resort hotel, but I imagine the experience I had here would be comparable. Finding this place, which is located in a commercial or industrial warehousing district, would be challenging without GPS. Upon pulling up we thought it might have been an old hotel at one point. The entrance is grand, though, and nicely decorated. When we walked in we were met at a greeter station and introduced to a guy who was our "guide" around the buffet. He pointed out the various stations and featured entrees as well as his favorites (I suspect they are told what to say), and then led to the "blue room". Named because it is entirely blue in an almost Disney-esque way, it had one wall composed entirely of a fish tank! We took turns getting our food and watching our toddler, and there were lots of options here. Of note, nothing was especially great but nothing was terrible either. Many of the American-Chinese dishes were missing, but in their place were more things geared for kids. They had a full dessert station with lots of pies and cakes and cookies. They didn't have a lot of seafood but that was fine with me. They had sushi and a prime ribbing carving area. They had a koi pond and a panda display and a gift shop (!). In all, it was like walking through a movie based on a Chinese buffet. This is the flagship restaurant of the Mandarin chain and not all are like this. They told us about their signature "sweet and sour chicken meatballs", which are like sweet and sour chicken except each piece is the size of a golf ball. I remembered these were common in Toronto and not in the USA and now I know why. I don't think the food was better than average, but the experience was mindblowing. No doubt it is built into the price, but what a fun experience it was to come here. I would love to come back for a special occasion.

We drove from OH, through MI and made it prime time for lunch. Ambiance is spacious. Rooms divided into quadrants. Mint colored walls, red chairs, white table cloths, glassware served. This restaurant serves two and a half stations of Chinese cuisine. Some of my faves were won ton soup, hot and sour soup, General Tso chicken, fried shrimp. For selective eaters, there's a station with chefs offering homemade sushi, fresh sashimi. We're quite surprised that both items were delicious. There's also another station of pizza available. There's an array of salads, fruits, and desserts. I can't turn down scoop yourself ice cream! There were eight flavors in all. I enjoyed every spoonful of mango ice cream and birthday cake ice cream. I also enjoyed crème brûlée, macarons, mini malasadas, and honey twists. My husband loved their banana fudge ice cream. Excellent customer service from our Server who welcomed us, offered beverage refills, and provided clear communication. We didn't feel rushed at all. Well versed in Chinese and English. When we're leaving, there are three employees in the lobby - one offering mint hard candies and the other two whipping up homemade cotton candy in a jiffy as a way of saying, "Thank you for visiting!" I accepted the mint hard candy and kindly declined cotton candy as we left very satisfied and full. He fantasized about returning to this location. We made it!

The dishes, glasses, and eating utensils are dirty as well as the water jugs. The bathrooms, floors, and food pots were also extremely unsanitary. The staff are evidently lazy and do not care about customers. They do not even have a debit card machine but instead they think it's smart to have a sketchy-looking ATM that charges an extra $4.00...so I pay an extra $4.00 for my poor treatment and my meal that tasted like trash. The exterior looks like a ghetto and they tend to cram all of the customers into one room. When I was on my way to my table (in a very crammed dining room), I saw four other empty dining rooms, one of which had a pissed-looking chef eating a meal by himself on his break (YES IN THE EMPTY DINING ROOM WHERE CUSTOMERS SHOULD BE). All of the staff have a miserable look on their face like they shit themselves. The food was terrible, old, and kept in unsanitary pots. The food looked re-heated. When the food pot was low, they would simply pour more food ON TOP OF THE OLD FOOD so that way the older food could rot at the bottom. The pots weren't even consistently heated and thus was a breeding ground for nasty bacteria. Only 9 hours after eating at that shit-hole, I became ill and experienced symptoms of food poisoning. I reported them to my local health-agency and I hope they get shut down soon.

I asked for seafood crackers from two different wait staff and was advised they didn't have any. So I went to the matre d' and asked, she went into the back and brought some out for our table. If you serving lobster and crab, the restaurant should either provide crackers or pre- cut the claws ready to eat. With regard to the food, I would have thought they would have served some rolls or bread but we had to ask for this special. As well, most all the food was cold.
