This is the best nail salon in Redding!! I have been going here for 10 years. These girls rock and they are always happy and nice. You can give these girls any design or nail idea and they will replicate it to a T. They are the best. I highly recommend them. I think people in Redding have all caught on to how good they are because I find it hard to get in at certain times of the day on certain days. They are worth the wait. This is a family business and they will make you feel welcome and they have great prices no extra or hidden fees and very consistent and fair every time with they're prices. They are all from the Bay Area and do Bay quality work. Sorry guys Redding can't compare. Go to Tammys!! You won't get better nails anywhere else read more

Tammy's Nails is very unprofessional! When i went in the man who was supposedly the owner sat in the corner the whole time i got my nails done. The person who was doing my nails barely talked to me and also cut me with the file. Did not do anything about it either!! I overpaid and when i went back into the salon afterwards to show and tell them they had messed up on a few of my nails and also cut me , the response was "we cant do anything about it". I was very disappointed. I DO NOT reccomand going here for ANY SERVICE! I've heard from multiple people and experienced myself that Tammy's Nails isn't clean and unorganized. read more

I have gone to Tammy nails three times total, first two times were great even recommended them to my friends but this last time the male who was removing my gel polish wasn't paying attention and kept looking up while filing it off ended up filing past the acrylic and cut my nail and when i said ow he moved me to a new nail tech that made my nails beyond crooked and when i told her she was really rude about it and my friend behind me saw her pointing and complaining and laughing at me it was so unprofessional and i will never return, plus i went in for a refill and they tried charging me full price for a whole new set. read more

After reading reviews I decided to take my 15 yr. old daughter here to get her gel nails done. He did the design/color exactly as she wanted and he did a good job. However, within 1 week all but 2 of the nails had come off. Very disappointing. Will continue looking for a nail person who uses quality products and does quality work. read more

Went in over the weekend and had a horrible experience. I have been going here for pedicures for along time. I went in on a Sunday for a pedicure and it was the worst pedicure I have ever had. The guy who did them would barely even clean or scrub my feet I had to ask numerous times for him to clean under my toenails and to clip them. Very rude and didn't want to do any of that. After the forth time of me asking he finally got annoyed of me asking and did a half ass job. I will never go back. Terrible service and I never once saw him get new files or cleaned anything. I have a few positive and a few negatives to comment. First off, I am an esthetician myself & know what a salon should look like so maybe I key in on cleanliness by habit, but this place could definitely use a good cleaning. Their bathroom was clean and I had to take a peek at their waxing station in their waxing room and from a quick glance it didn't look disgusting so that's a plus. But their stations, the floors and the filth behind the pedi chairs could be addressed. Other then that, Nikki did a great job on my gel mani! My mom really enjoyed her pedi, she said they massaged well and was very detailed on her gel toes. They seem to have a great attention to detail and are very friendly but my mom both agreed we would prefer one person for our entire service-rather then a few of them jumping on and off of the clients. Went in yesterday for a pedicure, I'm new to the area so i am trying out new places around. When i walked in, the guy in the corner didn't acknowledge me. I looked at the polish until someone said hi. For whatever reason the guy in the corner then decided to say hi after a few minutes. I thought that was strange. Turns out he's the owner. The nearly cut off my whole nail on my pinkey toe. Looking back the day after, the polish isn't even what so ever. I had asked him if someone had time to wax my brows and he said yes hold on a minute. I sat there for 10+ minutes and he never came back. I paid and left. Won't be back. Service was just weird and apparently their polish or their technique of putting on polish just isn't good. read more

I get a pedi about every 3 months and this was the first time here. Hannah did my toes and I loved the experience! She rubbed by feet and legs extra long and took her time. I've never experienced a nail salon take their time on pedicures, usually they rush through it. The polish was more "thick" and after about 5 minutes I checked it and I accidentally ruined my big toe. Hannah already moved on to another person and I asked a nail lady next to me if she could fix it and she did without problems. read more

Friendly people. Not sure about the cleanliness. Not finding any hand soap in the bathroom makes me wonder about sanitation. Toddler naps on the waxing table with shoes on. I need to pay closer attention to see if the instruments are used only once and sanitized. I've been charged two different prices for gel polish. read more

If I could give this place No stars I would. I'm a regular here. I come every time to get my nails filled. I had an appt at 5:20 and they never greeted me when I came in. After waiting for 40 minutes I finally left . I used their restroom and they didn't even have soap... a few months ago I was here and a cockroach walk right by my foot, very unclean and super disappointed in this place. read more

Dirty, barely warm water in the dirty tub. The short skinny man in jeans with the long nails is harsh and horrible. He literally stabbed me the entire time. The pedicure chair delivered a sub par massage and his was barely relaxing. He didn't put a top coat on my pedicure. Long waits after appointments had been made. The worst. read more

The ladies working here are really sweet and my time has never been like this. I usually go here to get a full set of acrylics but definitely not anymore. Friday I walked in, as I usually do, and was told there was a 45 minute wait. That's fine. I would've waited the full 45 and then had someone start my nails start to finish. But no, 20-30 minutes go by and Lady #1 takes off the set I already had. I asked her for the gel polish colors and she dismissed my request. Without filing my nails or anything further she asks me to sit aside because a group of 4 with an appointment walked in. At this point I'm like okay that's a little weird since.. you know about appointments so why start on me? Anyway, 15-20 more minutes roll by and Man #2 files, trims, glues tips and applies acrylic way too thin. I ask this man if I could see the polish color options and he says "We aren't done." He leaves to start a pedi for more walk ins. Another 20 minutes go by and then Lady #3 calls me over. She had to apply more acrylic to my nails and then asks me what colors I want. I ask for the colors since I hadn't seen them since walking in the door. I have a picture and she says they don't have so and so. So now I'm rethinking what I want and I let her know. On my thumbs the glitter is gradient and stops about half way. It was an additional $3 which kinda blew my mind. I was here for a little over 2 hours $40 could look a lot better. read more

Called ahead for an appointment for three pedicures. We were seated right away, but they only had two technicians available. In my opinion, if they were short on help they shouldn't have taken the appointment. The salt scrub was a little rough, but the pedicures turned out great. read more

Let me tell you I am very picky about my mani and pedis so trust me when I say that the price and wait is SO WORTH IT! This is such a hidden gem in Redding. The customer service was outstanding! They literally took 15 minutes to massage EACH LEG/FOOT! Second time I have done my nails here. I'm a Sac girl and moved to the area a few years ago... and let me tell you... SO hard to find a good nail place up here that can actually do coffin shape nails. They do a great job and have their gels on display (another thing I have found quite annoying at other places- when they don't have their colors displayed). The best part is that they are adorable! Nails are quality and don't break off, yet they are gentle and quick. Highly recommend. read more

This was once the best salon in Redding when Tammy owned and worked there. Now that it's Michelle, Holly and the other sister, it's awful! They skimp on the acrylic which makes your nails constantly break off. If you go in for a repair, you are treated pretty crappy, but no client should have to return the next day after getting her nails done because they are skimping on products. Making appointments is a joke! I always had appts, but was frequently forgotten or pushed aside for another client. I went to that place for years until I just couldn't take the breakage and incompetence. When Tammy did nails there they were awesome and never broke. Every single friend and family member of mine had to leave Tammy's due to the frequent breaking. I don't do anything strenuous on my nails! I would save my time and money and go to another salon. I went in to get a pedicure after a long day.... It actually made my day worse. I've never had a pedicure done so poorly. He rushed through the whole process and at times it hurt. It honestly felt like he had never done one before. He was more concerned with what was on tv more than anything. I have been going to Tammy's nails for a year now. I have always been very happy with how they turn out. They are convenient because they do not require an appointment. However they are never very friendly, but I always think, whatever as long as they do a good job. Lately every time I go the professionalism of this business gets worse and worse. They don't acknowledge you when you walk in ( busy or not ), they have their kids in there running around screaming ( not a word is said to them to maybe calm down)I love kids and think it's great to be able to bring them to work, but come on! The worst was today, I will not be back. The younger lady with the long pony tail that is always obsessed with her phone did my nails today. Just a fill, it was so painful, and I am not a wimp not to mention extremely easygoing, I have never had that happen by anyone who did my nails.... she could have cared less!
