I have no idea why the reviews on here are so bad so it's time for an update! These guys are SO thorough, meticulously removing and applying gel polish and so gently. I worked with two separate people and both were super careful and did such a nice job. The shop is clean and relaxing and their massage chairs rock. One of my best friends and I have been hunting for a good place to go bi-weekly and this is definitely the place we will be heading to. read more

Perhaps it was just a bad day to go, but first impressions are everything. This place is so dusty, you can tell that they don't dust often, which they should considering all the nail debris left behind. The guy that asked for me to have a seat at his work station flung the towel full of nail debris from his previous customer into the air causing some of it to fall on me. I didn't even get a standard lotion massage. It was my first time and last time there. read more

i came to tammys with a girlfriend and we both told them i'm here for a pedi an a fresh set of nails since the set i had on had broke i got there at 4 sat at the pedi chair for about 30 mins for them to even put water in it then when the water was about to get cold they finally started my pedi at this time i had reminded them that we also wanted our nails done they kept saying yes yes! my girlfriend got done with her pedi 1st so she was walking around reminding them that she wanted her nails done and so did i. And finally she got seated and as my pedi was getting close to finishing about ten people walked in all wanting nails or a pedi an i reminded them i wanted my nails done . well as the lady was doing the last coat on my toes the guy that was doing my girlfriends nails asked her your friend want her nails done? my friend said yes an he said she will have to come back we don't have time tonight! They weren't closing they don't close until 7 they were taking the walk ins that came in after me they didn't finish the service i came for an told them from the start what I was in need of and wanting I feel like it is completely unprofessional for them to stop the service and tell the person they have to come back but yet continuing to take in people that are just walking in and it's not even six yet I have no idea why they couldn't finish doing the service that I came here for I will never go back Tammy sucks read more

Well... two different people painted my nails with gel polish and both times my nails turned out a wreck. With holes and not fully coating my nail with the finishing gel polish. This is insane. Then they blamed their mistake on hair product when I pushed a small piece of hair off my face cuz I'd been there for 2 hours.. I don't even have hair product in my hair... Not to mention the lady had tiny hairs all over her hands which ended up in my nails. read more

I have been coming here for several months now and they always do a great job at making my nails look clean. I have tried other nail salons in town and they were too rough on my fingers, causing my cuticles to bleed. Tammy's nails have my favorite nail technician (Nicky) whom is always gentle and careful. She is very detailed and really knows how to make her clients happy. They also use great, long lasting products. My acrylic nails never fall off. I can pretty much wear my nails for one month straight... but I like to come in every two weeks to get a fill. Thanks Tammy's Nails for always providing me with great service! I've been coming to Tammy's since I was 13. They have always been friendly, professional, and skilled. My french tip is always beautiful and even. The pedicures are my main reason for coming in and they never disappoint. Currently getting one and I'm having the best leg/foot massage ever. Younger gentleman is fantastic and gentle. I went there yesterday for the first time (after them being highly recommended by multiple people.) I didn't have an appointment and was able to walk-in and get a full set of nails with very minimal wait time. I've never put a review on here, but after my experience yesterday I felt the need. The staff was so nice and kind, and the sweet lady doing my nails actually engaged in conversation with me, and cared about what I had to say. I will DEFINITELY be going back, and recommending this place to anyone I know who is looking to get their nails done! I can't wait to go back and get a pedicure!! Great job Tammy's Nails!! read more

I wish I could give them Zero stars .they suck and have bad customer service I called asking if they had time for a pedicure they said yes so I headed over.I waited in there lobby for 30 minutes and didn't even get greeted I finally walked out once two other lady's walked in with no appointment and got greeted and fastly serviced. i came in for an appt at 5:45 for toes and nails, she rushed through my nails and said if her 6:00 appt arrives i'll have to wait and so she finished in 15 minutes and they aren't the best nor what i even paid for. i then got my toes done and they are all over the place a mess. I asked for chrome finish on the gel color I got and I asked her to not do the chrome finish too thick bc I wanted the color underneath to still show. The results I got were not what I wanted and I had been very clear with what I wanted so I'm not very happy with my previous visit. read more

After a thoroughly awesome visit for a pedicure and manicur w/gel nails I went back 2 weeks later for a manicure w/gel nails. I was with a lady who was removing my gel nails. Two ladies came in one after the other announcing they have an appointment with her so I was Shuffled over to guy who cut my long nails with toe clippers. Which broke one of my nails. Without an apology he glued it and proceeded to gel nail my nails without a manicure. It is hit or miss there! As long as you know the two ladies names who are good and come in and say you have an appointment with them you are good. read more

I should have paid attention to the bad reviews, but I needed to get my bails done fast for my wedding the next day. It was a man doing my nails. All I wanted was a gold paint color on my natural nails. He doesn't say anything, just starts "cleaning" my nails but does a horrible job. I told him that he's missing dirt (I was doing setting up outside before this) and that he had cut them unevenly. He just grunted at me. So I picked up the tools and started doing it myself.... Then HE STARTED TEXTING WHILE I WAS DOING MY OWN NAILS! He started to paint them when I was done but he was holding my fingers so hard it left an indent afterwards. I am not a fragile person, I work in law enforcement and go hands on, but this was unnecessary hard. I told him to please hold my fingers more gently. He grunted and didn't even look up. If anything he held my next finger even harder like he was mad at me. So the second time I said "Stop! You're hurting me!" Loud enough for people around us to hear and look. Then he finally held my hands with a reasonable force. This was by far the worst experience I've had at a nail salon. read more

Deceptively charged double what we were quoted for eyelash extensions, and having made a 6pm appt and arriving on time, we were not seen until 7pm. I had my first pedicure at Tammy's Nails today. It was a great experience. They did a wonderful job on my feet and nails for $25. The salon was clean and pleasant. When people came in they were told how long the wait would be. The people working there were friendly and chatted if the customers were chatty. I'm not a chatty person so I enjoyed just being pampered. I would like to see the prices for their services displayed. I couldn't find them at all, though I did not ask. I have been going here for a few years and it has really gone downhill lately. I do not understand why Yelp has removed the most recent reviews to a "not recommended reviews" that you have to hunt to find ...because most of them are negative? What kind of game is this Yelp? Anyway I went in Sunday afternoon and no one was waiting so I got right in for my mani/pedi. The place is no longer clean. The water was ice cold and when the new girl asked me if it was okay I told her no it needed to be warmer. She added more cold water while talking to the man next to her. I gave up and had an uncomfortable cold water pedi. The pedi itself by the man was fine. Nothing spectacular but fine. Now we get to the unsatisfactory part that gave them one star for me. They put me over in a mani table for an hour. yes an hour. While they took in new walk ins and did waxing and pedi's. I was soaking the polish (gel) off my real nails and finally scraped them all off myself with my nails. Then I stood up and gave the older man sitting in the corner playing on his phone 'the look' so he came over and did some nail clean up. He told me to go wash my hands - there was no soap! 15 mins later the gal came over and put my hands in luke warm soaking water and told me just a few more minutes. 15 mins later I stood up to leave in disgust and she suddenly was able to take me to her table for gel polish at which time she thanked me for waiting. I let her know I was not happy and all these people already leaving came in after me. She never said a word to me after that. $50 and TWO HOURS for a simple mani/pedi when no one was in the lobby is absurd. I will no longer return. I have since found out the original couple opened a new shop up on Lake Blvd and most ladies have followed them up there. No wonder there was no one in the lobby. read more

I have been to Tammy's many times, but this is the last. I waited for 45 minutes before anyone acknowledged me. When they did it was because I commented to the lady sitting next to me , also waiting, although she had just come in. I was holding the nail polish that I had chosen. At that point they asked what I was here for and informed me that they thought (assumed) that I was with some other people who were already getting their pedicure. They then told me. The only place I will go to get my nails done. I have been going to Tammy's nails since Tammy was working there, and still love it with the new staff. I have grown to know all of the staff and they have done all types of nails on me: short, long, rounded, square, stiletto. A lot of times I bring in pictures of nails I find online and they are always open to copying the picture. My nails always last and the price is great for the Redding area. read more
