I couldn't brag enough about Hong Kong Seafood City香港海味城because they have everything from daily…read morenecessities to gifting ideas. I frequent here for bargains like seasonal items like moon cakes月餅, New Year cakes年糕and other casual pastries displayed at the entrance. Most of my trinkets for my annual Lunar New Year UYE's are found here: White Rabbit Milk Candies大白兔奶糖, Morinaga Milk Caramel 森永牛奶糖, Chinese New Year's shortcake candies 徐福記酥心糖 and Point 100 Gummi Candies. This is my go-to place for my medicinal soups and ready-made traditional Chinese medicines (TCM 中藥) - all made by reputable companies. They have high end stuff I couldn't touch: birds' nest 燕窩, ginseng 人蔘, ganoderma 靈芝and exotic herbal medicines. Whenever I need anything for my house, I come to Hong Kong Seafood City because all merchandise is imported directly from the sources. I am never disappointed with the friendly staff's recommendation. They helped me decide for each occasion. The prices are always competitive and products are always fresh. Don't be misled by the category, this "seafood market" sells dried, frozen or canned seafood. Don't expect fish tank here.

So I'm giving it 3 stars bc there's so much herbal stuff it's insane---However there are no seafood…read more(as stated in the name). The owner is friendly. I was just there to browse. I couldn't understand half the stuff bc they're not all labeled in English. It's a cool place to check out but nothing really I could buy except the tiger balm, moon cake sets, powder coffee/ matcha.....dried herbal stuff.

The prices are similar to others, but the portions were generous! They told us to buy shrimp from the store's seafood department and they cooked it for $7. The salt & pepper shrimp had a slightly sweet taste that the guys really liked. The beef & flat noodles had a great wok sear. The chunks of roast pork were big and went well with the fried tofu. The Singapore noodles were especially delicious as the noodles had a good amount of curry, were dry yet moist and there were plenty of meat bits - it was better than a couple of favorite restaurants I can name in Chinatown! The fish could have used more salt, but it was a good sized dish. The eggplant was also a generous serving. We're coming back this week with 20 of our good friends! We'll make reservations two days ahead so the chefs are prepared. Can't wait!

These Singapore noodles are perfect! They are dry without any extra moisture, a nice amount of curry, and plenty of meat bits.

Looking for a spot to make your happy "FACE" Fountain view…read morefish market is the "PLACE" Super clean, Fresh tasting and excellent food & service! This place makes their own tartar sauce, Yummy! Order a platter with shrimp and fish, had to try the egg rolls and fries&onion rings. They have a great system of self serving to the customers. Tea and lemonade is offered with meal. Breading to seafood is unique and tasty, thick and doesn't breakup when cut or bitten into. The place double as a seafood market purchase to go and everything is fresh. Saw this place on TV with Chris Shepherd, doesn't disappoint but reappoints a new spot I will be a repeat customer. Salud

Nothing really has changed over the years except the prices are higher. However they are still reasonable. We were fortunate to get a table for 3 as it gets crowded during lunchtime but then many people get their food to go, At the counter I ordered the 2 fish and 6 shrimp meal for $15. It came with 2 sides. One was cole slaw and I asked for hush puppies rather than fries for the other. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that my iced tea was included. Yes, this is an affordable place to dine. My 2 Swai fillets and shrimp were well battered and tasty. You can also get catfish and redfish for an up charge. The hush puppies were large and hot and made this a satisfying and filling meal. Fountain View Fish Market serves very good tasting seafood from a simple menu and at low prices. It's a winning formula!
