I went here after my car failed a smog at a different place. I didn't feel like the information I was given was correct so I went here. It didn't pass here but the man gave me really good advice on how to fix it - I had gotten a new battery which can make it fail. Also- he didn't charge me for the re-test unlike the first place I took it to that wanted to charge me. I will definitely come back here! read more

Called mid morning to inquire if I could get a Smog service at 4:30pm, knowing they close at 5pm. Lee said, no problem, I will see you at 4:30pm. I arrive a few minutes early and he stopped what he was doing and took my car in immediately. Not more than 15 minutes later, I was on my way with Smog completed! Friendliness and customer service could not be better, with no pricing surprises. read more

Excellent service, and the sweet guy who runs it is just lovely. Thank you for making it so easy and being such a pleasure to work with.

Today (1/5/21) my car accidentally broke down right outside their shop. A kind and helpful gentleman, Stanley went above and beyond to help me. He inspected and knew exactly what the problem was then kindly pointed me in the right direction. He didn't have to help me but he did so with his kind heart. TamJunction earned my trust today! Thanks, Stanley! You offered help to a complete stranger. I can only imagine the high-quality service you offer to paying customers! Reno read more

Lee is a nice guy from Vietnam. Lee was prompt, efficient & polite. Quoted $79.99 for the smog certification, but gave me a $10 discount. It took just under 30 minutes. The one downside of this location is that there isn't a good waiting area. But it is a short walk to several nearby cafe's or a grocery store. read more

About $20-$50 cheaper than the 5 other spots I called in Marin for my older car (1985 Mercedes). Fast and good service

Did not follow through nor return 2 calls made trying to offer them business/ smog info

I was able to get my smog check last mi Ute. No problem. Easy and fast. Friendly guy running the place was very easy to work with. Will go back. read more

Great experience. They got me in without a reservation although I would highly recommend one. He was helpful and prompt with his service. Reasonably priced as well. read more

I called around for quotes on the cost of a smog certification. The guy said it depended on my type of car, I told him and he came back with a price. I said OK and made an appointment. At the appointment the guy presented a higher proposal for me to sign. I told him about our phone call and the price quoted. He said he never spoke with me (it did sound like him) and he could reduce the proposal, but he still charged me more than was quoted. This is really a bad business practice. Otherwise, he's a nice guy and got me in and out pretty quickly. read more

What a nice guy!!!! I called and made an appointment. He was so friendly and kind. Its nice when an annoying task to do is made pleasant.

Don't go anywhere else for a SMOG test as Tam Junction SMOG is the best! I was able to get a same day appointment in about an hour, the cost was very competitive and reasonable, Jerry was very friendly and helpful, and I was in and out in about 15 minutes. Highly recommend!! read more

This was a great experience as far as smog checks go! I was able to get a time slot for the following day, went and had breakfast while the work was done (actually only took 15 minutes I think) and came back to find the car ready and waiting. Really easy and quick. I will be going here from now on! read more

Very quick and friendly service staff. He smogged my car in about 15 minutes. It's at the gas station on the corner by Good Earth. Also if you have a coupon they prefer you to print it out but the guy honored mine off my phone anyways probably because he was nice! Thank you read more

Fast, Polite and Professional service. If you need a smog check, at a good price, and done fast, this is the place in southern Marin.

Convienient and efficient service. Only downside is there is no waiting area so you have to walk to a nearby Tam Junction business and be careful as a pedestrian. read more

They should have told me that my vehicle would not pass when they saw that my check engine light was on. Per California law, any vehicle requiring a smog test that has the check engine light on automatically fails. Shame on me for not knowing this - shame on Tam Junction SMOG for failing to warn me and then charging me $50. Also: they are expensive. Drive a few miles and pay half of what they will charge you. One star for friendly staff. read more

This is my only experience with a smog check, but I gotta say, it was very pleasant!! I was lucky that nobody was currently being checked when I drove up, so there was no line. It took all of 10 minutes, they sent the smog certificate to the DMV, and that was that! Friendly staff, quick easy service, 100% satisfied! Thanks TamJunction Smog! read more

Brilliant. Easy appointment, friendly professional staff, done in 15 mins and electronic DMV handling. Will be back.

Excellent, prompt and reasonable service! Don't hesitate to have your SMOG Test done here. read more

I can not believe what an amazingly nice and genuine person Jerry is!! I was traveling down the coast towards Sausalito... Nil stations or warnings from Jenner on. Unfortunately I ran out of fuel going uphill on shoreline hwy nearly ten miles from his place.... had to park into a turn out in the wrong direction. Seriously, complete nightmare! A sweet couple dropped my puppy and I off here to pick up a gas can and find a tow truck or taxi back. To my complete surprise Jerry helped me without hesitation. A gas can AND two separate trips back to my car after the first attempt wasn't enough to start my g500 beast. After all his time and paying for the fuel himself, he barely accepted the repayment for the few gallons. I will say it again -- can hardly believe this man helped my puppy and I like this! A true gem to this world and Marin county is so lucky to have him. Something tells me everyone he does business with notices how authentic he is. Ten stars for sure. Thank you Thank you Thank you!! You are the BEST! read more
