Everything looks pretty new :) Lovely atmosphere and lovely decor in store! Service was good, I went in today after buying the groupon deal and got my eye brow threading done in 10 mins or less. The lady who did it for me did not speak much english but she was extremely friendly and good at her job. Their prices are super reasonable and location is very convenient. I would return.

But this last time was horrible. I went in and there were two girls on the couch just chowing down food. No one greeted me or said anything. Finally one got up and said - "you can sit there - I have to wash my hands" and pointed to the chair. I had let my eyebrows grow in a little bit so I was expecting the person to take some time and do some trimming as well as the threading. No ... didn't happen. I was in there for probably no more than two minutes total and one minute was when she was washing her hands. When they ask me to look at them, unfortunately I can't see real well until I get home. Not such a good job and I noticed a little tear in my skin around my eyebrow. Also, when I went to pay, I had to listen to her discussion with her friend (who was behind the counter eating) discuss something about her phone. Too bad, because I loved the way they did my eyebrows in the beginning. But won't ever go back.

Laying in bed tonight thinking about how much I hate my hair I cried. The roots are black. The…read morehighlights are burnt orange- and BTW I'm not supposed to have highlights. I should have a nice ombre. One side is significantly brighter than the other- probably because she took so long to apply the color. And it's probably orange because the bleach was left to process for OVER an hour and 15 minutes (while she cut and washed a gentleman's hair) PLUS the hour it took her to apply. (I was at the salon for FOUR HOURS. She also got hair dye in my eye. And then when I was at the wash tub letting some treatments soak in my hair she pulled out some hot towel (I'm assuming is for my hands for the typical hand and arm massage) and I relax and keep my eyes closed and suddenly she put the steaming WET towel on my face over my makeup. Like even patted it down over my eye makeup. LMAO. I just let her do her thing but ummm I'm not a guy about to get a shave and now my face is all broken out in 2 places. Typically when I go to the salon and spend over $200 I expect to leave looking good. I left with my makeup smeared, one eye with none, black hair dye all over my face that took a day to come out, and my hair sucks. I don't even feel comfortable having the same stylist try to fix it. I gave 3 stars because she was VERY nice. So much so that I couldn't even tell her how much she was torturing me during that blow dry session. Omg. And in the SHIT lighting at the salon I thought I liked the color.

Does anyone know the owner of Francescos Hair Salon in Mentor? Or how to get a hold of them?…read moreI had my hair done (roots) first time being there. The person who did my hair did a not so good job. My hair is the darkest of brown. I had my roots done. Told her my hair needs lots of warmth. She came and checked it 3 times. She said it was perfect and the brown was so rich and beautiful. With their lighting, it was hard to see. But she assured me it was perfect. Came home. My roots were like 4x lighter than my natural color. I called immediately. Told them of the situation. I took pics just for my record and to show her. It was all of my roots. I came in a week later (her soonest available), and she redid the roots. Used a darker color. And said it would cost me 15.00-20.00 more. I said, "What?" She didn't do it right the first time. She said I still had to pay for the product.. wth? No choice, I had her do it, I was going to not pay, but I felt I best pay, but I would contact the manager and / or owner. I had a meeting on Monday and needed it done. As I checked out, the receptionist asked if I'd like to add the tip on the card? I said, "No." I asked the receptionist if making the customer pay for the hair dressers mistake is common. She replied, "That's what the manager tells us to do." Is this a common practice that I have never heard of? I've been to many places in the past, and I have never heard of this or had this happen. So my 68.00 root color turned into 84.00 and then asked for an additional tip?
