90 min relaxation massage scheduled for my partner. My partner said they wouldn't return nor recommend, she talked the whole time, asked unprofessional questions unrelated to the appointment. Wanted to know mine and my partners' astrological sign. Became impressed with my partners sign so much that she alluded to how great and loyal partners they are. She commented on how they take great vacations! She created an uncomfortable environment, I spoke with the owner requested a full refund, she was to speak with the employee and return my call... that was 2 weeks ago. Very unprofessional to say the least. It concerns me that husbands my experience wasn't taken seriously because men won't usually complain about things like this. He left that appointment feeling the same, uncomfortable, and a waste of my money. read more

1 star because it's required, 2nd star for convenience of booking and staff. Here's the negatives though: - I was overcharged $20 for a "double process" when I only got a single process. I went in for a all over color & that's all I got done. That's ONE process. Yet, I was charged for a double. When I questioned the stylist on this, she told me as a favor to me she would take $10 off and then give me 20% off my next appointment. But here's the gag... that means I still paid $10 more than I should have and EVERY customer gets 20% their second appointment (it's on their website!) - The stylist made numerous comments about not understanding the texture of my hair. I have very thick but fine hair. She referred to my hair as "doll hair" which I don't take as a compliment... likewise, even though when I booked and when I consulted with the stylist I warned I would need extra dye for the thickness of my hair, this is disregard and I was left with my hair processing while they made more dye. - Now the quality of the dye itself. It's box dye. Save your money and go to CVS. I recognize the smell and texture anywhere. Not to mention even with using color protection products, the dye has already faded all over and my appointment was barely 2 weeks ago. - The worst part for me though is my uneven hair color. I went in for an all over color dye matching my roots. Tell me why that's not what I got? The stylist started the dying process but covering my roots first. That's a BIG no. Roots take dye quicker and everyone knows that. So I left with very dark roots and moderately dark hair. The salon lighting is dim so I couldn't tell in the salon but as soon as I was in sunlight, it was insanely clear to me the difference. - I also got a ear infection from this visit. The stylish washed water right into my ear multiple times. Very careless shampoo. And it resulted in an ear infection. Accidents happen, this isn't the first time I've gotten water in my ear at a salon but this is 100% the first time I've gotten an ear infection from it. Overall... go somewhere else. read more

I stopped into Rita's because I needed some minor waxing done. I was in and out very quickly! Before the woman waxed me, she tried to sell me a facial product that I wasn't interested in. (I don't particularly like being pushed to buy something I didn't come in for.) I'm sure she was just doing her job but it felt uncomfortable. I believe I paid around $8 which I felt was very competitive for Solon and waxing in general. I chose to have wax remove my hair but I know Rita's also threads. This salon is quite small but does the trick. I'd imagine if there were more than 7 people in there at once they'd have to squish. Overall, I was in and out of there for under $10 which is all I can ask for for an unpleasant but necessary grooming task. read more

They did a lot of looking up various potential pictures from the internet and found something they each liked. The person doing the hena was super professional and was able to replicate the important parts from the picture as well as added her own personal flair to the design. This place is great for anything eyebrows, I do threading and tinting, also upper lip/chin threading, full leg wax and Brazilian wax. May is great and my go to girl. Came in after thanksgiving for a gel pedicure before a week long vacation. Unfortunately 8 of the 10 nails lost the polish leaving only my big toes with polish. This happened 4-5 days after my pedicure. I guess I could have predicted this would happen because the gel was painted over the cuticle on each of the toes that lost the gel polish. Hindsight being 20/20.......I probably should have asked for a nail tech that didn't need bifocals to see up close and details. I'm guessing she didn't even realize she'd done a lousy job. Too bad.... It is a beautiful salon but I overpaid for less than a week's wear. read more

Do not get your makeup done here! Fayhia turned me into a clown. I asked for my makeup to be "light and natural" and I left with my face bright red, raccoon eyes and a completely unnatural look. I tried out this place for a massage back in 2019 before the pandemic. My masseuse at the time talked to me the entire massage when my plan was to relax. Fast forward post pandemic I thought I would give them a second chance and try a different masseuse. Another bad experience. In fact worse. The room was loud and close the the reception desk and I heard every conversation that was had. The music was loud and not very conducive for a relaxing environment. It even shut off halfway through. I brought it to attention and the woman has to leave the room to fix it in the middle of my massage. While I was booking the appointment it had asked what my problem areas were. However, they were never even a priority during my massage. The real kicker was that my masseuse smelled of BO the entire time. The last thing you want to smell during a massage when you have nowhere to escape to. The facial I had was good. Average, hence the 2 stars, and that's generous. I'm not sure about the other services here, but I will not be going back for a massage. Bummer as it is close to home. read more

I made a last minute nail appointment with Dion and she's great, highly recommend! Just like a previous reviewer I used to go to girls in the mall as well. I went to Rita once after my usual mall girl was out sick and Rita's Beauty Care was the next closest place. I am SOOOO happy that my usual girl was out sick because I LOVE Rita, I love all the women here actually. Several of the employees have done my eyebrow threading and they've all done an excellent, phenomenal job! I love the service I get there. Also, the price is definitely right! I went to Rita's Beauty Salon after reading many positive reviews. My experience was traumatic. A lady named Poonam did my eyebrow threading. She removed the front portion of one of my brows. Now there is bare skin in between one of my brows which is very evident. When I confronted Poonam she told me that my brows are "naturally" like that. To be incompetent is one thing and to place blame on customer for your mistake is whole next level. I will not recommend this place to anyone. read more

Had my first visit today based on the great reviews both here, and on Facebook. I must say that I am not impressed. I went in for eyebrow threading and when I got there all of the seats were filled, which did not surprise me because it's a Saturday afternoon. After standing for about 15 minutes two of the ladies waiting ahead of me left, I can only imagine how long they had been there, and the one threader working (Sam) was still not finished with her client. I sat and waited approximately another half hour for the next two women ahead of me to be taken care of, at which time Punam came out from the back after doing a facial with a client and instead of asking for the next client, which would have been me, she took a young man who walked in two people after me. When I asked the receptionist Natalie if he had an appointment, she said no and he was just getting something quick . Strike two. When I finally got to the chair I got immense apologies for the wait and I was asked how I liked my eyebrows threaded, which I did appreciate. After everything was done I could tell this wasn't how I was used to the finished product being. One of the brows is more angular than the other but I will just have to tweeze it later. I thought I was doing better being closer to home and paying less but I got what I paid for, per usual. read more

She said she had 2 more appointment at that time. So I rushed quickly , but no one came till I left that place.The worst part is there is no good eyebrow threading in Solon .
