I can't say enough wonderful things about The Beauty Bar and the ladies who work there! Teri, Alexa (who helped with my hair), Sara & Kayla. Teri was fantastic my hair turned out exactly as I wanted. I've never had such a thorough consultation, since I have curly/wavy hair and not everyone can cut curly hair and do a good job. My cut & color complements my face and of course looked fantastic when she styled it, but when I did my hair at home it looked exactly like when I left the salon. I've seen how some of the girls treat one another there. Mostly the nail techs talking about others. It sounded like they were targeting a younger worker there. It's really up to management to make sure bullying isn't happening. A customer shouldn't have to overhear these things. The nail techs have a tendency to be rude and their product doesn't last either. read more

Bought a Groupon for a 60min facial and it was not bad for the price that I paid. The lady who did my facial did a great job but I felt like she kept using the same product over and over again. She would apply a cream and then wipe it off with a hot towel and then spray a mist over my face and then repeat the process over and over again. The rooms were semi dark and relaxing but the ceiling was open through out the whole building so you could hear everything that was going on in the building. I bought a 60min facial but I was in and out of there within 45mins. It wasn't terrible for the price but I will probably not return. read more

Website claims 2 week guarantee on gel manicures. Yet when you walk in 2 weeks later and 5 of your 10 nails have chipped to hell...Kaela charges you full price anyway. When I had my first appt, I set up an appt for 2 weeks later. So when my nails started peeling, chipping, etc I waited for my already scheduled appt. She clearly saw that 5 nails had peeled, and I showed her a 6th was lifting as well. Expecting she and the salon would back up their work and word, I proceeded with getting the manicure. Next thing I know she's charging me full price (which ain't cheap!). I asked about guarantee and she just looked at me like she didn't know what I was talking about. Regrettably, I paid that price and tipped her. Now, less tha 2 weeks later, this one is chipped to hell too. Save your money and your time. Go with a salon that actually backs their work.... there's plenty of them. read more

Beware of their cancellation policy. I had an appointment scheduled and due to illness I did not go or call in to cancel. I am on SSDI for illness and was in bed for 2 days. The service was fantastic, my stylist was friendly, upbeat, and she did an excellent job with my hair. I had a Groupon, and found out that it only covered 2 ounces of color, and 3 additional ounces were required to finish my hair at $10 per ounce! Insane. Loved the personal touch at The Beauty Bar Wickliffe today! I got a groupon for a gel manicure with Kaela and loved the service. The salon is hidden in a shopping center just off of E. 305th, but easy to find. The 2 women who worked there treated me like an old friend while my old gel was removed and new applied! I loved the fun color options and the price can't be beat! The only thing I wasn't too excited about was that to remove gel polish that was applied elsewhere, there is an added charge. Lastly, I'll be going back because they have me a loyalty card that allows you to try each of their services once each for 50% off! read more
