My daughter with very straight hair wanted a blunt cut. It was awful. I'm sure we could have just done this at home for what she received. Stylist was Katie. I DO NOT recommend this salon! Picture tells it all.

After five months of waiting, I was finally able to get my hair done at Jennifer & Co. I have light blonde hair, so it was absolute torture having to live with my roots for so long. When I arrived at my appointment, I showed the hairstylist a photo of my hair done previously at another salon. I was specific when explaining what I wanted to be done with my hair. I stated that I wished to have thin highlights, no grey hues, and no bleeding foils. She was super friendly and seemed to understand what I wanted. While sitting in the salon chair, everything looked fine, and I liked it. However, that was probably due to the poor lighting and the large mirror not being super close to me. When I got in my car, I noticed streaky highlights and spots that looked missed underneath. Although the hairstylist was super nice, I can't believe she didn't see the streaks or spots missing when she was blow-drying my hair. (Photos attached: The blue background photos are what I showed her and the other ones are what I got done). I also had a previous appointment scheduled the other week, and something unexpected came up, so I had to cancel. I then tried calling to reschedule the following morning, and the receptionist was rudely answering my questions with an uncalled for attitude. Although the ladies working at the front desk were very kind today, that was not the same customer service I received over the phone. My friend's mother also had a similar experience with one of their receptionists when she called in a few weeks ago and they completely lost her business over it.

Jake is a highly skilled professional who is kind and welcoming to all who enter his salon, whether it is a client or delivery person. He listens to his clients and asks if you have experienced any hair challenges since your last appointment. I think the biggest compliment that I can give is that a friend's mother said that if I hadn't told her I get my hair colored, she would have never known because it looks so natural. We've all been there.. crying for days because your new cut makes you look like a squirrel!! Well sometimes life is kind and you find a cool comfortable salon and a Stylist that is not good, not average.. but is 100% an Expert Stylist. That is what I found (thankfully!) when I walked into Bixels Studios. I was greeted very warmly as soon as I walked in the door by a friendly guy who walked up to me before I even made it to the counter! I knew that this guy knew his stuff by the way he automatically touched my hair and knew exactly what cut would work with my fine hair - he also noted my personal style and was so easy to talk too! This friendly guy is Jake, the Owner of the salon. He makes you feel comfortable and secure because of his confidence and way of cutting is so expertly done! Is he pricey? Yep. But remember the aforementioned squirrel hairstyle that made you cry...? Well there is NO CRYING in Bixels Studio! Even tho I LOVED my cut, I called and asked if we could make an adjustment.. and he was so nice about it and did not charge me extra. Although they seriously need a new website, I'm so glad I walked in just to check it out. You should too! Ask for Jake.

Let me just start by saying my stylist was very nice and made an honest attempt at making…read moreconversation. But that's pretty much where any positive experience ends. First off, the salon didn't even have my appointment on their scheduled. Not only did I book online but I CALLED TO CONFIRM. Then when I show up they don't have me on the books and ask me if I got my days mixed up... good thing I had the confirmation email saved in my phone. I assume my stylist was double booked because she called me by a different name and kind of rushed through my appointment. Online it said my session would be an hour but I was in and out within 30 minutes, 10 of that was trying to find my reservation. Now for the hair... it's alright. She did a good job at cutting the dead ends off but she took more than I asked for off. At first I showed her a length of 3 inches and then we discussed cutting between 4-5, turns out she cut 5.5 off. Okay. But then she also gave me bangs??? I asked for face framing pieces but what I got were long, choppy curtain bangs that I'm not particularly a fan of. To top it off, she put around 1/4 cup of product in my hair. That would have been fine if they did what they were supposed to but instead I left with half-wet, gelled hair. For lack of a better description it felt like a cross between steel wool and pubes. Do stylists normally leave hair partially wet? She said this was to prevent it from frizzing up... maybe she had good intentions or maybe she was just rushing because she was double booked. Either way, it was far from what I asked for/ imagined. Overall the salon was clean, my hairdresser was nice, but I will not be coming back. Maybe this is a salon for a different clientele than me (29F, white, long (now short) brown hair) because my sister-in-law loves it. I would just encourage all new customers to do their research before going.
