Let me just start by saying my stylist was very nice and made an honest attempt at making conversation. But that's pretty much where any positive experience ends. First off, the salon didn't even have my appointment on their scheduled. Not only did I book online but I CALLED TO CONFIRM. Then when I show up they don't have me on the books and ask me if I got my days mixed up... good thing I had the confirmation email saved in my phone. I assume my stylist was double booked because she called me by a different name and kind of rushed through my appointment. Online it said my session would be an hour but I was in and out within 30 minutes, 10 of that was trying to find my reservation. Now for the hair... it's alright. She did a good job at cutting the dead ends off but she took more than I asked for off. At first I showed her a length of 3 inches and then we discussed cutting between 4-5, turns out she cut 5.5 off. Okay. But then she also gave me bangs??? I asked for face framing pieces but what I got were long, choppy curtain bangs that I'm not particularly a fan of. To top it off, she put around 1/4 cup of product in my hair. That would have been fine if they did what they were supposed to but instead I left with half-wet, gelled hair. For lack of a better description it felt like a cross between steel wool and pubes. Do stylists normally leave hair partially wet? She said this was to prevent it from frizzing up... maybe she had good intentions or maybe she was just rushing because she was double booked. Either way, it was far from what I asked for/ imagined. Overall the salon was clean, my hairdresser was nice, but I will not be coming back. Maybe this is a salon for a different clientele than me (29F, white, long (now short) brown hair) because my sister-in-law loves it. I would just encourage all new customers to do their research before going. read more

Unfortunately I will not be returning to Salon Glow ever again (I have invested (1000's of dollars there). Last night I had the worse night of my life there. I was overcharged by of the nail specialist at Salon Glow at their salon. I went there to get my eye lashes done, and asked for a shellac removal (typically this costs around $10, and it's done in about 20 minutes at the most). She took 1.15 minutes to complete the job, while I was feeling intense pain. The nail specialist, Patricia didn't have the right equipment to remove my shellac, didn't tell me after the fact, and bruised several of my nails making them bleed. I am still hurting. On top of that I ended up spending $48, tip included because I respect people's time no matter what; but I believe I was overcharged, miscommunication abd treated poorly once I called and complained. At the very least, they could have offered me a free manicure! Sadly, I have come to realize that most of the staff at Salon Glow in Mentor are more interested in making money, and not on the the customer itself. I will never have this salon service me again. Though I'm writing this a little late, I couldn't skip writing a review for this salon! I had the pleasure of having Rebeccah cut and style my hair when I came in. I'm extremely picky with my hair after a few bad cuts, but was extremely happy with how my hair turned out! Especially the curls she styled it in, which I was able to wear a few days after my appointment. I'll be a repeat customer for sure and already booked styling appointments with Rebeccah for my baby shower and birthday coming up! read more

I don't get my hair done there but I do get shellac manicures and I've gotten a couple of spray tans, including one for my wedding, and it came out great! Tyler did my nails yesterday and they're adorable! He's hilarious, professional, efficient, and very friendly. I was also able to get my wedding ring cleaned for free next door while I got my nails done. When I got it back, it sparkled as much as when it was new and now I can't stop staring at my hands! My mom isn't really the mani-pedi type but even she's started to come here, too. I've been pretty consistently satisfied with my services and can continue to come in because it's so reasonably priced. read more
