Obviously, the overall atmosphere is welcoming and professional and we love how we look and feel when we leave. But it's the things that are beyond the superficial that keep us coming back. The owner, Trish, is a true professional not only is she well trained but she makes sure her entire staff is trained in all the latest techniques and trends. I trust them with my thick curly hair and have no reservations about sending family and friends with thinner hair, hair with different textures or for corrective color. When they tell me my hair isn't conducive to a particular style or product, I believe them. The best advertisement is my hair looking great. I once was seated next to a client with black hair (box dye), I head the stylist explain the risks of going from an unknown dark dye to a platinum color. Those included unpredictable color variations and that it would take at least three visits to minimize any breakage. Looking at the before and after pics was amazing! Hair care is an art and a science and there is no place I trust more than Tryst and their wonderful staff.

I took several photos with me to a consultation appointment a week before my color visit, unfortunately it didn't work out. The cost for partial baylage and cut =$150 plus tip. My hair looked nothing like the photos,which was a simple ash brown/blonde baylage. My hair was purple,blue,green and yellow. When I reached out to her she said this was a normal fade process and she offered to re tone my hair but couldn't get me in til the very last day of her " RE- DO POLICY " I saw several other color specialist at two other local salons they both said re - toning my hair would not even come close to fixing or get my hair anywhere near the photos and I had to start corrective color process to get back to straight brown hair which was $95. Love the haircut! Wouldn't recommend for any type of color . Communication wasn't great. No sense of urgency to stand behind her work. I reached out to her two days after allowing the 48 hour "curing " time she recommended and she didn't respond for two days then mentioned the last day of her "re - do policy " is the only day she could squeeze me in. The photos posted are the photos I shared with her at my consultation appointment and she said was attainable, also are the photos of what I received and one photo of my hair before any processing at all.

I called to set up an appointment, the number on the Groupon is a personal cell number. Never received an answer. Waited a few days and called back, this time I left a message. A few days later and I never received a call back. Finally I looked up the Salon number and called during what was supposed to be open hours. No answer. Again, I left a voice mail and did not receive a call back. This went on for a good two weeks. They clearly weren't interested in the business, so I traded my Groupon in and purchased one for another salon. Thanks to Pin Up never answering their phones or calling back, I've found the salon I will return to time and time again, it just won't be theirs.

It took her a few days to respond and she asked me to send a screen shot of the front and back of the Groupon so I did, once again it took her a few days to respond and then said "I'm sorry this expired" NO SHIT! Did you not read my text! I then sent her a screen shot of how Groupon said the money I paid is good from now to ETERNITY! And you guessed it Stacie Grabowski did not reply! Buyer beware! If this is how she conducts business would you really want her working on your hair?!

Let me just start by saying my stylist was very nice and made an honest attempt at making…read moreconversation. But that's pretty much where any positive experience ends. First off, the salon didn't even have my appointment on their scheduled. Not only did I book online but I CALLED TO CONFIRM. Then when I show up they don't have me on the books and ask me if I got my days mixed up... good thing I had the confirmation email saved in my phone. I assume my stylist was double booked because she called me by a different name and kind of rushed through my appointment. Online it said my session would be an hour but I was in and out within 30 minutes, 10 of that was trying to find my reservation. Now for the hair... it's alright. She did a good job at cutting the dead ends off but she took more than I asked for off. At first I showed her a length of 3 inches and then we discussed cutting between 4-5, turns out she cut 5.5 off. Okay. But then she also gave me bangs??? I asked for face framing pieces but what I got were long, choppy curtain bangs that I'm not particularly a fan of. To top it off, she put around 1/4 cup of product in my hair. That would have been fine if they did what they were supposed to but instead I left with half-wet, gelled hair. For lack of a better description it felt like a cross between steel wool and pubes. Do stylists normally leave hair partially wet? She said this was to prevent it from frizzing up... maybe she had good intentions or maybe she was just rushing because she was double booked. Either way, it was far from what I asked for/ imagined. Overall the salon was clean, my hairdresser was nice, but I will not be coming back. Maybe this is a salon for a different clientele than me (29F, white, long (now short) brown hair) because my sister-in-law loves it. I would just encourage all new customers to do their research before going.
