I was in there for probably no more than two minutes total and one minute was when she was washing her hands. When they ask me to look at them, unfortunately I can't see real well until I get home. My friend's husband got us both a package for Christmas last year and we FINALLY found a time to…read morego!! We did the full package I think it was called the Tuscan. It included a massage, facial, mani, pedi and blow dry/style. With the package you get to bounce around the spa and salon from person to person. I had the pleasure of meeting Lindsey, Kate and Gianni. I hope I spelled their names correctly.... The massage was first and by far my favorite thing. It was so relaxing. It was not deep tissue or anything, I know I probably need a deep tissue one, but in the meantime I will take anything that helps me relax, I don't relax often. The bed was nice warm, the massage felt nice and long, nothing was rushed. My head and neck were my favorite part. After the massage she flowed nicely into a facial. I was aware my skin is dry (especially in the winter) but I was not aware how dry until that facial. This was an eye-opener for sure. I also did not realize how many black heads I had on my nose. She did what is called an extraction, let me tell you, I was not expecting the pain that is involved in that process. I kind of wish she had done the facial first because the pain of that wiped away any relaxation the massage brought. I would say next time I'll pass on the extractions on my spa day. Next we had lunch in the spa. They brought in panera for us which was great! Then we were brought into the nail salon section. Mani's first. I loved the simple chatting. I honestly think manicures are not worth the money because I always chip mine within the day, I probably should have asked if I could pay to upgrade to the gel stuff for my upcoming holiday party but oh well, this was a gift and my nails do look pretty. I usually keep them long so having them trimmed to be even is hard to get used to. But the highlight of just chatting with the girls in the nail salon. It was so chill and friendly! Everyone was fun. Then I got to go meet Gianni, he is such a rockstar. I love him. He is a cool person, which great style and we just cracked each other up. He styled my hair so great. I shouldn't admit this, but I didnt wash my hair for 2 days so I could continue to wear my hair the cute way he styled it, and it still looked great TWO DAYS LATER!! That is some kind of magic! I dont know what deal he made with the devil to that amazing, but I want in on it! Overall an amazing time, I will definitely come back for a massage and to get my hair done!! The person who did my hair did a not so good job. My hair is the darkest of brown. I had my roots done. Told her my hair needs lots of warmth. She came and checked it 3 times. She said it was perfect and the brown was so rich and beautiful. With their lighting, it was hard to see. But she assured me it was perfect. Came home. My roots were like 4x lighter than my natural color. I called immediately. Told them of the situation. I took pics just for my record and to show her. It was all of my roots. I came in a week later (her soonest available), and she redid the roots. Used a darker color. And said it would cost me 15.00-20.00 more. I said, "What?" She didn't do it right the first time. She said I still had to pay for the product.. wth? No choice, I had her do it, I was going to not pay, but I felt I best pay, but I would contact the manager and / or owner. I had a meeting on Monday and needed it done. As I checked out, the receptionist asked if I'd like to add the tip on the card? I said, "No." I asked the receptionist if making the customer pay for the hair dressers mistake is common. She replied, "That's what the manager tells us to do." Is this a common practice that I have never heard of? I've been to many places in the past, and I have never heard of this or had this happen.
