We missed him like crazy and worried about how he was feeling. Dennis actually had us come in halfway through, showed us what Carson had been learning, and said something that I keep thinking about: Carson wasn't missing us. Not because he doesn't love us, but because dogs live in the now. He was busy, focused, doing his thing. We felt so much better after that. Carson came home happy and calm and confident. He understood the rules and felt good about it. And he wasn't (as our son put it) a "bot" now - he was the same sweet and goofy pup but now, he could follow instructions and maintain self control when we needed him to. The staff were also straight with us about the fact that he'd have setbacks. That's normal. They spent a lot of time explaining what you do when it happens. In fact, they spent almost an entire day with all the families at graduation - going over what the dogs learned, getting you hands on practicing how to do it, answering questions, and really teaching a ton of helpful information. We're about to set up our in-home training visit, which will be for all of us, including our three kids - really great to get everyone aligned with Carson's training. The Dog Knowledge is fantastic! We are members now and plan to board our dog with them whenever we go on vacation. I cannot imagine trusting any place like we trust them.

Absolute Failure of Care: Unauthorized Injury and Mismanaged Play…read moreI am writing this review as a serious warning to other dog owners. My experience with Camp Bow Wow Matthews was unacceptable, resulting in injury to my 10-month-old puppy and a complete failure of service on a follow-up visit. Incident 1: Unauthorized Procedure Resulting in Injury On his first visit, my 10-month-old puppy was subjected to an unauthorized nail trim that I did not request or approve. When I picked him up, his toenails had been cut down below the quick on multiple toes and were bleeding profusely. This indicates a severe lack of care and training, compounded by performing a painful procedure without owner consent. I complained to the staff immediately about the pain and distress this caused my puppy. Incident 2: Mismanagement of Play and Unapproved Confinement Despite the initial injury, I gave them the benefit of the doubt and brought him back. I picked him up to find he had been isolated and crated for the final three hours of the day. The staff claimed this was because he was "targeting a puppy." I reviewed the video footage they provided and confirmed that the behavior they labeled as "targeting" was clearly rough, energetic play--not aggression. For a professional daycare facility, misinterpreting normal puppy play and confining him for three hours instead of actively managing the group or separating him into a smaller, supervised area shows a complete lack of necessary skill and accountability. The combination of causing a preventable, unauthorized injury and then failing to provide the core service (socialization and supervised play) demonstrates a serious lack of professional care and judgment. I requested a full refund for both failed services. I strongly advise other pet owners to find a different facility that prioritizes the safety, accurate behavior assessment, and well-being of your dog.

My experience has always been great here. The front desk staff are all friendly and easy to talk to. It's always been easy to schedule drop offs and pickups. There have never been any unexpected surprise charges or anything like that. I love that the staff here ask questions about how to care for Lou but are not overkill when asking about his needs. I've been other locations and they insisted on going through a long questionnaire with me every visit on specifics about his care. And I'm the type of owner and Lou is the type of dog that it's like look - we're easy! Feed him, keep him safe and tell him he's a good boy. We'll both be happy! I do fully recommend this location for boarding or hair trimming. They have been great.

I called into the office early in the week to schedule an appointment for Leo and my granddog, Coco Chanel. I was greeted warmly by Mrs. Lisa who was absolutely friendly and professional over the phone. I can't just make an appointment like a regular customer I basically needed a personal assistant to call Leo's previous vet to get his shot record and to detach my granddog from my account and add her to my daughter's account for billing purposes. I was thrilled to know that Clearcreek uses the Cherry app that can be used as credit. Not only did I tell Lisa that I would call right back it took me two days to follow up. Nevertheless, she was still warm and bubbly over the phone when I called back. I had the pleasure of meeting Lisa and Melissa at the appointment that was scheduled for Friday. All of the front desk ladies were sweet and welcoming. Lisa is a rockstar in real life! I'm extremely appreciative of the level of customer service that I received in person and over the phone. I have switched Leo's vet back to Clearcreek now, and although they don't offer boarding a new company is managing the boarding services at their location. I can't wait to take advantage of their services.
