I was not finding what I was looking for on Rover and the traditional doggy daycare was not going to work due to our dog's health issues - Rocky was unfortunately diagnosed with anemia a couple years ago, so his immune system is not great to be around other dogs (other than our family member's dog(s)) as it could lead to other health issues, or more. Some how I came across Two Tails in a search and found that they did dog boarding in their home - one dog at a time! My husband and I did a meet and greet with owner Kim and Jenny who would be taking care of Rocky. We felt comfortable meeting Jenny and seeing her home where Rocky would be staying. We decided we wanted to do a trial run before we actually started booking. This happened in July of 2020, and the rest has been history! We have booked with Jenny multiple times since then, his latest stay this last weekend. We have multiple bookings already set up for the rest of this year. Some have been just a weekend, some have been two weeks long! We absolutely love that Rocky gets so excited when he get's to Jenny's. He remembers and knows where he is. It makes us comfortable knowing he is comfortable. It also makes us comfortable that he is at someone's home the entire time - a big backyard, getting to sleep on furniture like he does at home, can get attention as he needs, etc. Also, Rocky has had some other health issues come up when he has stayed with Jenny. There have been no issues with Jenny handling medications. Lastly, the best thing! Pet Reports! We get a daily report at the end of each day, which lets us know how Rocky did during the day with pictures. We never received that kind of update from our Rover sitter or our doggy daycares that we used to use. Another thing that just gives us peace of mind seeing that report each evening when we are gone. We absolutely love Jenny and Two Tails Up! Highly recommend - just only at times when we aren't using them. :)

We just finished a four-week board and train with Carson at The Dog Knowledge. Worth every penny!…read more Not going to lie - the first couple weeks were rough on us, not him. We missed him like crazy and worried about how he was feeling. Dennis actually had us come in halfway through, showed us what Carson had been learning, and said something that I keep thinking about: Carson wasn't missing us. Not because he doesn't love us, but because dogs live in the now. He was busy, focused, doing his thing. We felt so much better after that. Carson came home happy and calm and confident. He understood the rules and felt good about it. And he wasn't (as our son put it) a "bot" now - he was the same sweet and goofy pup but now, he could follow instructions and maintain self control when we needed him to. The staff were also straight with us about the fact that he'd have setbacks. That's normal. They spent a lot of time explaining what you do when it happens. In fact, they spent almost an entire day with all the families at graduation - going over what the dogs learned, getting you hands on practicing how to do it, answering questions, and really teaching a ton of helpful information. We're about to set up our in-home training visit, which will be for all of us, including our three kids - really great to get everyone aligned with Carson's training. The Dog Knowledge is fantastic! We are members now and plan to board our dog with them whenever we go on vacation. I cannot imagine trusting any place like we trust them.

Ashe at 6 months of age can be a bit of a handful , but Lindsey took the time to understand his behavior and tailored the training to his needs. After just two weeks, we noticed Ashe's confidence soar. Ashe is now much better behaved at the park, and he's responding wonderfully to commands like "sit," "place," "heel," and "come." This is the second dog I put through Off Leash K9 Training, and they truly help build trust between you and your pup. It allows you to take your pup into the world and enjoy life rather than sitting at home alone. I also love how Lindsey emphasizes the importance of consistency and makes sure we're practicing the right way at home. I feel so much more confident as a dog owner, and Ashe seems happier too! I highly recommend Off Leash K9 Training of Charlotte to anyone looking to strengthen the bond with their dog and improve both their quality of life and behavior!

He was teaching me to talk to the dogs the whole time and I had no clue. Third, he inspired me! It is not often you meet somebody with the courage to walk away from every comfort they know to pursue something they love. Richard listened to what I wanted to do, I wanted to strengthen the bond between myself and the dogs. I already see a difference, they do too. I've worked with several trainers in the past and never felt a comfortable, or confident connection and neither did my dogs. I don't know who's more excited about our next lesson, me or the dogs. It felt immediately practical and grounded, not overwhelming or overly rigid... and actually, fun! One of the biggest takeaways was learning how to use the growl/bah cue as a simple "focus on me" signal, paired with really big, enthusiastic praise when she listens or offers good behavior. That combination alone made a noticeable difference in how quickly she engages and settles. Patrick also gave us clear daily practices to work on, especially around reducing attention-seeking behaviors, managing front door and doorbell excitement, helping her place and settle, and most importantly supporting her adrenaline and impulse control. It all feels doable and structured without being stressful. On top of the training itself, Patrick was also incredibly helpful in guiding us through a diet transition for Bondi. That kind of whole-dog support really stood out because he clearly cares about Bondi's wellbeing -- not just obedience. Patrick is knowledgeable, calm, supportive, and really good at explaining the why behind what you're doing. We left sessions feeling empowered instead of confused, which says a lot. We're honestly thrilled with the progress we've already made and excited to keep building on it. If you're looking for a trainer who is thoughtful, effective, and genuinely invested in your dog's success and your relationship with them, we would absolutely recommend Patrick without hesitation.

I watched him on the camera for 30 minutes leading up to this & not doing anything that would constitute this type of jerk on his neck. Video won't let me post more than 12 seconds, but afterwards, he walks away shaking his head. However, this other dog can clearly hump without a single action being taken. If they do this on camera, how are they treating them when they aren't? I called to share my concern & asked if there was any way he could be ready sooner, as I would like to go ahead and get him. They were not able to bathe him until his scheduled time, so I said that was fine and came when I got the text that he was ready. Before I even got my 2nd foot in the door, they had a camera out trying to justify this action- even saying she never moves, it was my dog that jerked!!! There is no justification- if they did believe he was going to attempt to hump a dog (something I've never seen him attempt in 7 years), this still isn't warranted. They continued, and I asked multiple times for them to please bring me my dog, that I wanted to pay and leave. Not a trustworthy place of business.
