After working with numerous trainers and getting turned away from another dog daycare (our reactive dog failed the evaluation), we ended up at Star Dog... and we are so glad we did! Andy & Jarrell have been so kind and have really helped us with BeeBee. We recommend the daycare - excellent facility & safe. The Boot Camp was amazing - they worked with BeeBee on drills all day and then trained us one-on-one! She is now calmer and so are we! The group classes are really fun too and serve a crucial role in solidifying and practising what we have learned. And the icing on the cake, the entire team helped Myrna give BeeBee her first grooming! Thank-you Andy, Jarrell & Lisa - you are very kind and excellent at what you do.

Our dog made wonderful progress and Brittany made sure to have him ready to take the TDI therapy dog certification exam, which we passed with flying colors the first time! Other handlers were actually asking me where I took my dog to be trained since he was behaved so well. We can't thank Brittany enough and are thankful to always have her as a resource!

https://www.facebook.com/share/p/8nqwk17hBoScgrJR/?mibextid=oFDknk…read more I just want to leave my story here It hurts my soul to see this post, I trusted Urgent Vet, my cocky felt bad on Wednesday afternoon, I tried to call and find an appointment at the place where they have always treated him Stand For Animals Veterinary, they did not answer me, I sent an email to the Doctor who treated him in August and she told me that he had problems in the urine and ordered me to give him antibiotics, yes we gave it as the Doctor told me, on Thursday he woke up better, but on Friday morning he did not get out of his bed, I sent an email to his Doctor to see if she could recommend a place to take him because I saw he was in bad shape, the Doctor recommended Urgent Vet and told me that it was not so expensive there, she made the appointment for 5 in the afternoon, we took him with my son, I paid for the X-rays that were almost $ 700 dollars, they told me that he needed surgery, that he had stones and that He urgently needed the surgery that cost $4000 or it could be more and that I couldn't take him because he was in very bad shape, and that if I didn't have the money for the surgery there were two options: 1) call a shelter to take care of the surgery but we would lose all rights to Cocky or the other was to put him to sleep. We couldn't pay that amount so we ourselves helped find a shelter to operate on him. We couldn't allow Cocky to suffer, and we never, ever authorized that he be sacrificed or put to sleep. We have had Cocky four years and we love him with all our heart and strength. He always had his medical exams and vaccinations up to date every year. My children love him, my husband and I love him, especially my 9 year old son who hasn't stopped crying and suffering since that day, and all because we were not in a good economic position at the moment, but all our family and friends know how important he is to our family. how happy he was with us, it hurts us that they take advantage of our pain to say things that are not true, my nine year old son is entering in depression because every time he came home from school Cocky greeted him with all his love and joy, just like us, my other 13 year old son is also suffering, I don't understand why they say that we had him in a miserable situation, when we always treated Cocky with love, the only thing we are guilty of is not having the money and putting our trust in emergency vet, and giving him up due to lack of money.

Doesn't change anything for us - he's a great dog and we'll love him just the same - I just don't understand how any reputable animal adoption entity makes this big of a mistake. We found ourselves in quite the predicament, as he was too young to board at a kennel. We reached out to Doris and she made a special exception to accept him into her board and train program when he was only 10 weeks old... When she dropped him off after the program was complete, we had an 11.5 week old puppy housebroken and sleeping through the night with no crate accidents. What surprised me the most is that he patiently waits for you to open his crate and invite him out, he waits for you to invite him to go through the front the door and also waits in his "place" while you get his food ready. In addition to being such a patient sweet boy, he also knows how to sit, lay down, roll over, shake, spin right, spin left, leave-it, play hide and seek, and stay!! She also introduced him to swimming in her swimming pool and socialized him with multiple safe dogs and people. She was very responsive, professional and kept us posted daily on his progress and adventures. We felt at ease knowing he was in such a loving home. This is truly her passion and it shows through the wonderful work she did with sweet Chewy. We LOVE Doris and can't recommend her enough!

I truly can not recommend Lena enough. If you have a dog that you think "can't be fixed" like we…read moredid, look no further- Lena is the answer to your prayers. Our Australian Shepherd (3 years old at the time) had severe anxiety which resulted in aggressive behavior with strangers and other dogs. Despite working with other trainers, her behavior only got worse- she ended up biting a dog walker we had hired and would behave so wildly/aggressively in public that we got to the point of saving her walks until night-time when no other people or dogs were around. It was embarrassing and we had no idea what to do. We found Lena online and immediately after talking to her on the phone, I knew she was the real deal. After ONE session with Lena, Roxie no longer pulled on the leash (she had always been very bad at pulling) and we already saw an improvement in her social behavior. We had a total of 5 sessions with Lena, the last one being in March of this year before moving to Florida. With each session, Roxie made huge improvements and we were also taught how to effectively reinforce her training between sessions and communicate with her. Roxie is like a brand new dog now. We moved to downtown Miami, so there are people/dogs everywhere, as well as busses, cars, etc and she shows no anxiety or aggression at all. We also adopted another dog in June and he and Roxie are the best of friends. Before, Roxie could not be around other dogs at all. And now, she has a brother who she totally loves! Absolutely NONE of this would have been possible without Lena's help and guidance. She truly changed our lives, and we could never thank her enough
