Worst experience ever. The bad reviews confirmed. Tambi does not know what she is doing and will blame you for things going wrong. She is the most unprofessional and incompetent person I have ever encountered in a salon. She is the owner and as far as I can tell the only person doing hair in the salon. This is understandable since she would not be an easy person to work with/for. She hacked my daughter's hair and she ruined mine with orange highlights. I was able to get my credit card company to reverse the outrageous charge for the worst service I have ever gotten. read more

I'm only giving one star because I have to give something. I went to Tambi on the recommendation of a friend who has went thrre for years. (Who's hair always looks great btw) well, my experience? Not so great. I will provide pictures. When I first left the salon, I WAS happy with my hair. I even tipped her. Did NOT have a fit over the massive amount she charged, i paid my bill. HOWEVER... Once I got home, and showered (tiny hairs are itchy and I still had the barrier cream on my neck) I WAS SHOCKED. I have a massive area of no color. I tried for 3 days to contact Tambi in an effort to have it fixed. When she final. When I was at the salon I DID say messaged me back, she was nasty, condescending, said to have a lawyer contact hers, and said the only reason i was complaining is because of the cost. Um NO! You can see, by the photos, it has nothing to do with money. Its the fact I cannot wear my hair down and it looks ridiculous. I told her, I was more than happy to cover the supplies but I wanted a refund since she was not returning my messages for 3 days. She said she provided the service I asked for. Um, no. In her salon pictures, it does APPEAR to be done nicely, however, I have photo evidence to the contrary. I did NOT want to give a bad review. I made an appointment with Tambi to get a balayage done. The first photo is my hair to start with. The second photo is what we agreed to accomplish during the first visit. I also said I wanted to keep my own roots. The third picture is when Tambi highlighted my entire head including up to my roots, even leaving that massive spot in the middle of my hair bright brassy yellow/orange. I wanted my roots to go back to being dark and she offered to put a toner/color or something(didn't explain it well) on the rest of my hair to make it less brassy. The toner or color she picked was supposed to make my hair more natural looking. I now have a black crown of roots and nasty dead looking hair, darker than my original hair. In order of the photos: my original hair, what we agreed upon for the first appointment, what she did for high lights, what I walked out of the salon with. I was balling. I called back the day after and asked if I could get a refund as I will need to go get my hair fixed - I have a full time job and the grey turned to a blue hue... I can't have blue hair in an office, sorry! She was so defensive and told me that I agreed to everything that she did to my hair. Even told me I could sue her rather than just get my money back. I gave her a pretty nice tip as I felt bad that I hated my hair after she did it. My mistake! She told me she would ruin my hair if she did it again and would make me sign a waiver. All I want is her to cover up the grey. I went to a different salon and they told me if I were to sue her for anything I should sue her for not listening to her client and WAY over toning or USING THE WRONG COLOR. She told me that if she had done anything wrong she would be the first to admit it. Well I have black and grey hair and she told me it's what I wanted. Ha. Don't ever go here. Don't even think about it. Save yourself. She's cheap for a reason. Also don't pay ANYTHING if you are not 100% happy because she will not admit that she did it wrong. Apparently I really wanted blue hair haha cheers. I'll edit this accordingly if I ever hear her apologize or refund me any of my money. I dont reccomend any salon that refuses to fix mistakes. I dont reccomend a salon that belittles a client. I dont reccomend a salon that wont refund a client when there is a clear mistake. When you color hair, even distribution is key....This salon jacked up a friends hair, didnt answer her messeges for days and then belittled her for commenting on her price like 150$ is too much for "some people". Great salon! I found Tambi on Groupon and set up an appointment. She asked me if I had a picture of what I wanted my hair to look like, I said nope just cut off a few inches and layer - and she did! Even styled it for me at the end. My hair feels much healthier and light. She is pleasant and sweet and it was a wonderful first visit! I will definitely be going back. Well, where to begin? At the beginning I suppose. When I first went to Tambi, my hair had been long overdue for a cut/color due to the pandemic. Tambi took off 7 inches of unhealthy hair that was a mix of (not pretty) colors. She made me a fresh blonde again & gave me a great cut/style. It was pricier than expected, but I don't mind as long as I got what I came for. Visit 2: Returned to Tambi several weeks later for a haircut & touch up color. We had talked at my 1st appt about going blonder, & Tambi told me we would achieve the results I wanted in 2-3 sessions. However, she decided I needed "more warmth" (translation: brown, dark, not summery.) Also, the perfect haircut I got the 1st time that I told Tambi was great & I just needed it shaped up & also asked her about adding bangs, due to my fine hair. I could have cut my own bangs better. They looked like they didn't belong with the rest of my hair. When I got home I also noticed one side was about 3-4 " shorter than the other. Very disappointing. She is not cheap either, and never credited me for my groupon deals either time. The search continues!! read more

She was great for my first haircut, but the next time I went she was extremely rude and unprofessional to her staff and myself. She wouldn't honor her groupon coupon because I had already used one and "she can't keep working for free". The coupon itself stated that you could use that offer THREE times (it had been a YEAR since the last cut too). I have long hair that just gets trimmed. My daughter chose this salon because of the reviews off of their website, which we now believe that bad reviews were removed to save face. Tambi shaved the side of my daughters hair off to where you can see her scalp when the picture of the hair style she wanted was only an asymmetrical cut, there was no 'shaved' areas in the picture at all! It will take years for this horrible cut to grow out and Tambi refused to give a refund! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL!! read more

My daughter and I had horrible service. she Hacked the heck out of her hair, ripped the comb through after saying she herself has a tender head! She put awful styling gel in it and sent her off. I've downloaded yelp just to write this review. I've been getting a Brazilian wax religiously for the last 4 years. I can handle the brief pain of an experienced aesthetician. It should feel BRIEF and relatively painless. My appointments don't normally last more than half an hour. Sadly due to covid, I haven't been able to go to my most recent usual lady and decided to give Tambi a try. I first walk in and she is stressed to the max because the appointment before had more hair for a cut than she was expecting. I got into the waxing room with her and she was belittling this woman because she felt she had been mislead about the amount of hair she had (to be fair is probably an honest frustration in the beauty industry) I however felt very uncomfortable that she was talking about another customer like that to me. I felt like I was still trying to calm her down and make her more comfortable since she was still acting very stressed. Then we begin my wax, we pull up the sheet and she takes a tongue depressor full of hard wax out. Hard wax is what I usually use, since my hair is very course. However there's a trick to hard wax, you don't want it to be too hot and soft like a liquid or you won't be able to grab and pull. On the other hand if it's too cool and hard you won't be able to pull it up as one piece, it becomes brittle and breaks causing you to have to yank and yank and yank just to get one strip off. And that's exactly what happened, she slathered that wax all over and then said she's "waiting for it to cool, so she can do it quicker" at this point I'm looking around the walls to see if I can see her license posted anywhere. She tells me she's struggling so much because of the gloves she's wearing and that my hair is too long. (Which yes it was longer than the standard 1/4-1/2 inch it was probably at 3/4 inch.) Longer hair causes a little more drag, it's harder to get a clean, straight, (relatively) painless strip off. She's struggling to get a hold of the edge of the wax, and in doing so, keeps pinching me and yanking the wax without ripping the hair out. I make it through the top and the inner thighs and she asks if I need a break at which point yes I do, I'm struggling not to cry. When she comes back I say I'm going to call it. Games over, mercy rule, you win. She asks if I'm sure because we're "so close", sorry no we're not close, you haven't gotten near the ~center~ and have In no way gotten to the back. She slathers some aloe lotion on top of a bunch of crusted on pieces of wax telling me this never happens to her. The lotion beginning to burn, I'm just trying to get out, she tells me to make sure I don't get an infection because I'm really raw and will most likely see some bruising for the next few days (NEWS FLASH - a good wax doesn't cause bruising) she then proceeds to charge me full $100 price for my half a service and injured genitals. Would not recommend. read more
