At her suggestion, we made appointments for Serenity. I'd never been but she was raving about it and I was in desperate want and need of a massage after finishing a full year of grad school. Upon entering the small (shack looking) establishment, I was pleasantly surprised by the internal aesthetics. Everyone was welcoming and nice. I completed the required questionnaire before my massage. I met with Erin, my masseuse and she was amazing. She actually reviewed my questionnaire in front of me, asked me questions about my tight spots (upper back and shoulders-of course since I'm a student), empathized with me and offered essential oils for the aromatherapy part of the massage. I selected Bergamot and Lavender, a great combo for sensuality and relaxation. I undressed while she got the oils and lay down on my back face up (that was a first I've never started face up), she came back in and wrapped my hands in clothes with hot stones and legs with hot towels! Whoaaaa! I've never had that done either. The bed was also like a cloud, a big fluffy warm cloud, with heated blankets. I was already in heaven before she even started the massage. The massage started and that was 60 minutes of bliss. She put pressure in all the right spots that I needed it. Next time I'm going to get 90. Their prices are phenomenal (I'm from Chicago, this place is better than any Chicago/Chicagoland suburb location I've ever been too). Next time I'm visiting I definitely want to go back and see Erin. Post massage, I sat in their cute little waiting area where there's tea, water and chocolates. I was able to relax while waiting for my sister to finish her facial. Such a great relaxing environment.

You're also able to easy contact the esthetician via text. We went over the full services and I became very aware of everything she was doing prior to doing it as she did the services. The wax overall experience was great and I left with a good bag of items. I highly recommend them and I will be wax for future services. My services included Manzillian and underarms.

During one of my visits, I became intrigued by the gel nail polish. The fact that it was quick drying, not damaging to natural nails and wasn't a fake nail that would have to be pried off if I tired of them intrigued me. But, I was skeptical. I've been known to wear off the most expensive nail polish within days if not hours. Other customers attested to the fact that the gel polish lasted over two weeks. I am now sporting my 3rd gel manicure and despite using my nails to scrape off jelly on the counter, open a wine bottle wrapper and a million other things, my polish looks as good as the day I first got it over two weeks ago. The salon owner, Linda, is as pleasant as them come. She is a good conversationalist while focusing on her services. She takes her craft seriously and learns the proper technique and doesn't shortcut on materials. The salon carries a full line of beauty products for hair and skin, small gift items and health supplements. I've not known anyone who received hair services there yet but my hunch is that with the attention to detail and level of quality I've received with my massages and nails, that all of their services are five star.
