I have never spent over 2 hours getting a mani/pedi, not gel nor no-chip, just a plan old mani/pedi with regular polish. I don't know what was going on because English was not spoken, but several of employees were yelling across the room, while I sat with my feet waiting the in the water for 45 minutes. Hello! I'm here. From what saw a client walked in after me and she was done and gone before I anyone started on me. She was obviously a "returning" client who took president over me, a new client. I went in for a no-chip manicure and they tried putting on acrylics. By the time I realized, they had cut my nails short... good recovery on the shaping, but I get manicures so my nails don't break while working, and it feels pointless to have spent $44 if they are short anyways. It hurt when rounding the nails because the file was right against my fingertips. It was a miscommunication that could have happened anywhere, but at least the manicure looks decent. But from gel toes that popped off in a couple days, to poorly done gel manicures (and pedicures) with cuticles left behind that then lead to gel and polish chips or peels within the first week (and they just looked pretty rough from the get go...) Top Nails is about how many, not how well. I can't recommend them with so many better, more professional nail salons out there. And believe me, I gave them more than enough chances. I went to this nail salon for the first time . At the door I was never told to check in and was called while already seated at pedicure bowl . The place was busy . During my pedicure the technician was great at the pedicure. Although nails were not cut straight and that evening ( 4 hours later ) polish came off big toe . Had to go back Monday. My gel manicure wasn't great . When I put my glasses on I could see that the polish wasn't even all the way down to my skin on my nails . I wasn't happy about that and I don't have the time to go get them redone . I will give this place ONE MORE TRY HOWEVER! read more

Had dip nails and asked to take off my dip and do clear gel. I still had dip left on my nail bed but she proceeded to apply the gel portion to my nails. All the dip residue was left all over my hands. I asked if she was able to take it off and she told me "go home and shower and it comes off". I let her know it's literally stuck on my skin so she got a file and tried taking it off and it didn't come off. Was charged 44$ for this horrible job. Asked her why it was so much and she told me because we use acetone to take it off. Uhhh whattt. This was the first time I have heard that. Will never come back this place. So if anyone has recommendations of better nail salons in the quad cities. Let me know. read more

I'm surprised this place only has 3.5 stars. I am a snob when it comes to getting my nails done and Top Nails checks all of my boxes: their work is quality, their staff is kind and efficient, and their prices are reasonable. Some bonus features that make them five-star worthy are the free (!) glass of wine you get during your appointment, and the fact that they give a wonderful neck and shoulder massage after each manicure. I went here the other day with friends for manicures and pedicures. We had an appointment at 12:00. We waited at the front to go sit in massage chairs to get our pedicures for about half an hour. Close to 1:00, they began to do our pedicures. During the time, the owner seemed to be accepting walk-ins. They also seemed to rush through every service. I overheard they were short staff, but then why accept walk-ins, frustrate people, and lose customers? We ended up paying and leaving without getting our manicures, and they didn't seem to even realize. The customer service is pretty terrible, and with so many other nail places in the area, there is no point to go here and be treated like a dollar sign. read more

Disappointing! As the tech was doing my nails, I told her I didn't like the color. She said she wasn't done yet. A few minutes later, I said the same thing. She reassured me it would look great when done. So, I said it again when paying, and the owner came over, very loud, saying I can't complain after it's done. Customers were staring. I wanted to try some place new, so I went here for a pedi today but was not pleased. The lady that I talked to on the phone and that greeted me when I walked in was very nice. However the lady that actually did my nails wasn't friendly at all. She was quite bossy and rude. I was happy with my toes though when it was all said and done, until an hour later I looked down at my toes and 3 of my nails were smudged. Really? So I thought I'd stop in on my way to grocery store and being New to Davenport I'm looking for somewhere to get regular pedicures and now know this is not the place. My technician got up 3 times to check her phone while I was in middle of pedicure, they reuse the pumice stone and " cheese grater" without sterilizing, and I had the worst foot massage ever ( even after I asked her to run harder). They put people in chair soaking in water for up to 20 minutes before they get to them. Oh well I'll keep searching. read more

I hate picking new nail salons, because it's so hit-or-miss. I really wish there were more reviews for this area, because there's a LOT of choices, yet they are all just blind selections, with no idea what I'm getting myself into until I walk in the door. I chose this one because I have a friend who said she'd been here before. And... It was a good choice. Nice place, with several manicure tables and 12 of the spa pedicure seats... which is one of my favorite things about getting a pedicure. They got my daughter and I in promptly for an appointment when we called on Mother's Day to ask if they had openings. While there, four more people came in, and they were all able to get seated right away. To that end, they were understaffed, so nobody was seen particularly promptly, but it was still not too bad... the workers were very nice, and they were very apologetic that they could not get to everyone right away. Unlike other places (where they've seated me and then ignored me when there was no way to get to me right away), they at least acknowledged the delay, and they made sure to periodically remind the people waiting that they had not been forgotten. The setup was very nice, and I noticed they opened a new set of tools for each client. My toes look great, as do my daughter's toes... And just FYI, The cost for two spa pedicures, before tip, was $53. (This place may say "Spa" in its name, but honestly I have no idea what they might offer besides nail care... Personally, I think they may have named it that because of the "spa" pedicures... cuz really it looks like a typical nail salon.) I called 15 minutes before arriving and they were able to get 3 of us in for pedicures on such short notice. The shop was clean, hygienic, and pleasant. We were all happy with our pedicures and I was thankful that the woman that painted my 5 year old daughter's finger nails was patient and kind enough to keep re-doing them when my daughter touched something without thinking and messed up a nail or two. I took my younger sister here for her first manicure. She was nervous and really excited, and the nail technicians worked really hard to make her experience really great. The staff was very friendly and were very thorough,making sure that each nail looked perfect before moving on to the next. They opened new, sterilized packages for both me and my sisters nails, and even added a little nail art for my sister...a sweet and thoughtful touch. The facilities were clean and stylish. I hate straying from my usual nail salon because whenever I go somewhere new, it's so hit or miss and most times it's a miss. A few people from work have been here and recommended it so when I was next door at Starbucks I figured what the hell, let's try. They were relatively busy but there wasn't a wait at all. I picked out a new color and headed over to the chair. The nail tech was able to get the shellac that I already had on quickly. Over all, it was a decent experience. It was quick, she was polite enough and my nails look good. No complaints! And the price was just a $2 difference from where I normally go. Super disappointed! My granddaughter and I went to get our nails done because our usual place was booked. I got a pedicure/shellac manicure and my granddaughter got a shellac manicure. We said we wanted our toes and nails to match. Neither one matches. My pinky was cut to bleeding, and still hurts 3 days later. No one smiled, no one is happy. My nails are chipping all ready. I've been here three times. The first two were wonderful! I was offered a drink and the service was wonderful; last time I went the manicurist got a little too excited when doing my cuticles and I ended up bleeding on 3 different fingers. Pedicures have always been done well and they massage your feet/legs for a good amount of time. The wait is a little long, but the location is great since it is next to a Starbucks! I tried this place based on Yelp reviews and was not disappointed. The staff was friendly, even though they were very busy. 3 separate people checked on me during the 10 minutes I waited fory pedicure. She did a very good job, my feet look wonderful. The leg massage was a bit light for my preference, but well done. My biggest measure is always how well they do in removing the calluses, I am very hard on my feet and they get very rough and dry quickly. This is one of the very few places I left not feeling disappointed in how the bottoms of my feet and heels felt. The establishment is clean and inviting. Though the pedicure massage chairs are a little dated and showing their age, I was still very comfortable and enjoyed the extra stress relief. read more

I picked this location from the reviews and am sadly disappointed. It was the fastest manicure ive ever had (15mins, polish included) and felt rushed. The staff was kind but not busy in the least. I asked for shellac on my natural nails, when i noticed my nails being buffed was when i saw the bottle was not shellac but went ahead with it. The quality of the result was bad then chipped after 3 days and now only a week post, my thumb nail has manage to split too far down to cut and split the polish as if it wasnt gel. Im not aware of quality for other services but if you are looking for a gel polish, i would not recommend this salon. This is not my first experience with gel but is my first bad experience with it. read more
