Management is disrespectful and apathetic - they're seeking "yes men" rather than collaborators. There is minimal terrain for beginners, and no steeps for experts in bounds. I would not tear up a car trying to navigate this extremely bad road. The guides are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The equipment is all first rate. You feel safe during the entire excursion, even if you have never done such a thing before. I was going to give an even more glowing review of Zip Idaho, but the next day I received an email from them asking for "tip" money for the staff. I think this is in very poor taste, and I am offended by being hit up for more money.

Church rentals, group events, and the camp's own retreats are a large part of the camp culture. I attended a three day winter retreat, and it was excellent. Lodging is very up to date due to the generous camp budget, but the one [very] bad drawback is the food served by the camp itself. Many meals were undoubtedly mass-produced, often leaving a very unpleasant aftertaste. I hate to say that the best thing I had there was the cereal from the serve-yourself bar. That's the one downside, but if you're looking for a spiritual experience with a community then it's a great place to host. Just don't forget plenty of snacks.
