A modern campground with a serious budget that sees frequent use from communities all over the state. Church rentals, group events, and the camp's own retreats are a large part of the camp culture.
I attended a three day winter retreat, and it was excellent. Lodging is very up to date due to the generous camp budget, but the one [very] bad drawback is the food served by the camp itself. Many meals were undoubtedly mass-produced, often leaving a very unpleasant aftertaste. I hate to say that the best thing I had there was the cereal from the serve-yourself bar. That's the one downside, but if you're looking for a spiritual experience with a community then it's a great place to host. Just don't forget plenty of snacks. read more
